- Text to Speech, simply copy some text, then listen as the text you copied is read back to you through text to speech. This text reading app can read text from any app, as long as the app grants you the ability to copy the text that you want spoken. It couldn't be any easier to have text spoken aloud to you. No need to import text into an app to have it read to you. While the text is being read to you, a notification will be displayed that you can tap on to stop reading at any time. So no need to worry about accidentally copying text that you don't want to be spoken to you through text to speech.

Want to make Copy To Read
- Text to Speech automatically start and stop the reader service when you connect to a certain Wi-Fi network or bluetooth device?
- You can accomplish this through using the app called Trigger or the app called Tasker (See below for instructions on using these methods).
Instructions for using Trigger:1. Add a new task2. Set your trigger type3. Click the add new task button4. Select "Open Activity" task under the "Applications & Shortcuts" section5. Click next6. Select application: Copy To Read7. Select activity: StartReaderActivity or StopReaderActivity
Instructions for using Tasker:1. Build a new profile that triggers using the type of event that you want (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/other)2. Link the profile to a new task3. In the new task add a "Launch App" action under the "App" section4. Find the Copy To Read app and hold down your finger on it for a few seconds5. When the new dialog window appears select the StartReaderActivity or StopReaderActivity

I love this app. I use it daily!! With that being said, I use to be able to copy the text and it automatically would speak the text back but it does not work like that any longer. Am I missing something? I remember having to turn it on under settings(the copy feature) but it is not there any longer. Only reads when i click the three DOTS then MoRE then SPEAK. Was less clicking to just highlight the text & copy. Would Automatically read the text out loud.
Not exactly what they described in the video on android version 8 but it does the trick. I'm learning a new language and the speak function on text in chats with forgein language students is a major help. This app does the trick but being able to cancel out the extra step of first copying will really help. Although I know whatsapp doesn't really all the user to change the functions on messages
I recently switched from iPhone to a galaxy s10e and I was disappointed that there was no feature built into android that allowed me to have selected or copied text read aloud to me while I drive and such. You sir just saved me from a lot of frustration I wish you could directly have long text messages read without having to paste the speech onto a keyboard first but it works wonders on other apps.I appreciate this app!
Simple. Helpful. precise. Love it...I also think it would be better with the "pause" option whereby I can have an opportunity to reflect on important stuff or pause in case of an interruption/distraction.
It works fine. I use it to read online articles or PDF. I would like if the app's navigation button while reading could be shifted instead of being stuck at the bottom. Notwithstanding, it is an excellent app.
Awesome program and easy-to-use across all applications! There is a bug when changing the speech speed and pitch. So keep the default settings and the program will work nicely!
This is an amazing application. Exactly what i needed. Same like IOS. Since so many days I've been searching for this and finally I got. Very user friendly. Very simple to use. Just select the text. Press the three option button. And select speak
I could only get the app to read one or two lines before cutting out, even though I'd highlighted a paragraph of text. Great idea, but didn't work for me. Three stars until fixed.

Text Speech volume is not stable, volume level uncertain decrease and increase is annoying. Otherwise this application is a form of good effort in this context. Please fix volume variation issue to make it more appealing and helpful
Does not work well. Skips sentences and glitches. I really liked the idea of it though, just highlighting text and having it read it. May try again some day if glitches get fixed.
I dont have a settings button so don't have access to any settings and the icon to copy text can't be placed. A shame as it appears it would have been a great app.
This app does nothing but says "Reader started" then shows an ad. And if you're lucky, you'll hear "Reader stopped" as it crashes. That's 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back...
Go-Ogle's latest tts update glitch is causing errors for this Favorite relyable Go-To app I love. 11-4-2020 Update: I'm sorry Dev, updated didn't fix it. Its so frustrating. It's in every forum. I even told GoOggle directly. They haven't fixed it yet. It loops, can't stop it, control panel delays popping up and it just reads on, usually twice. Long text/articles take long to finish-repeat-stop. It's not your fault. I'm sorry your user's blame you. All tts app commenters are blaming Devs.
Exactly what I was looking for. Works very well! Takes a bit for the speech to start after selecting "Speak" in the context menu though.
Just didn't work for me. Allowed draw over apps. I highlight text share to this app and nothing. The other Copy to Speech apps work. No idea why whis won't straight from the off
I love this app it worked great with my Samsung note 8 just upgraded to the Samsung note 20 in it does not even work I am so disappointed I use this app all the time is there any way that you can upgrade the software on this app
Abolutely amazing. This app would be a huge help for anyone learning to read English. basically lesson is whatever you needed to be you simply highlight any text and tap the blue C and it's read out loud.

1000 char truncation too annoying for use with SmartNews. Requires a TTS engine; I have Google's; but it ignores that engine's settings, which work correctly in other contexts. Uninstalled.
This app has helped me in many ways I have been searching for this kind of app since forever this is exactly like iOS text to speak content and this uses Google text to speech engine this is an awesome app. Because of this app I can now transfer my IOS journey to android. Thank u so much developers
It worked perfect took me only a minute to figure out how to do it but if ur on a phone like me all u do is highlight it and choose speak then click the thing and it read it out loud
Does what it says it does.. and does it well. Highlight text and read To those complaining about the 1000 character limit, it states that in the settings. Do a bit of reading... or just have this app do it for you 😂🤣😂

Use to work well using firefox and having articles read to me. Recently had an android os update installed and now this app does not work at all. Please advise or Im deleting it on 48hrs
Exceptional, can you add in the bar that appears ON the screen while using, an option of changing all the languages that wants to use?!

can only read 1000 characters at a time on my android phone. Only tried it for a few minutes, so im probably doing something wrong.
Exactly what I was looking for! Not sure why this app isn't 5 stars. It has the potential to save lives (when used while driving).. ONLY ONE PROBLEM! The text to speech truncates at 1000 characters! Any way to make it unlimited? Or at least bring the character count UP? I keep having to go back to the text, find where it stopped, re-highlight, and re-press "Speak"! VERY annoying problem to an otherwise perfect app.
