It may be secure bit as far as NOTIFYING OF A COMMUNICATION, I don't think it does. I have had the loudest elephant roar ringtone as a notification sound, but it never occurs with attempted notifications. On one occasion I was holding it IN MY HAND at the time of an attempted notification, and NOTHING. I missed it until I checked almost accidentally 3 hours later and found it marked URGENT but unanswered. UNRELIABLE.

Completely unreliable. For an application intended for use in healthcare, this product fails miserably. The errors are many, and the app functions in one of three ways: 1. Works normally (I'd estimate this happens perhaps 30% of the time), and messages are received within a few seconds. 2. Receive an audio notification of a message arrival, open app, no new messages displayed. Message arrives anywhere from 10 minutes to HOURS later. Great for timely patient care! (that's sarcasm by the way...) 3. Message is sent, but no audio alert or message for 10 minutes to HOURS after the fact. This is NOT a wireless signal issue as I can be at my desk when all three of these scenarios occur, and I have a strong wireless signal. Our health system has had multiple challenges with this system over the past several months, and we are a hospital with 2k employees and 200 physicians, many of whom rely on this system as a primary form of communication. If your health system is considering licensing this software, DON'T...at least not until they have competent engineers that can resolve these issues.

Constantly loses sync with server, requiring restart of app. Will go hours without notifying you of messages until it randomly reconnects and then floods you with all the delayed messages. When composing messages, app will lose sync with server and won't tell you until you attempt to send. Stay away until these issues are resolved. If it weren't for the connection problems, I'd have no problem with the app.

Extremely flaky app. For an app that touts itself as secure and reliable especially in a busy healthcare environment the delay and even more annoying utter randomness in receipt of messages is unacceptable. This app is sheer entropy and a perfect example of chaos theory. I am not going to list every issue multiple user reviews here document that. Please learn from iOS developers this app works seamlessly on even older iterations of iPhones.

This app needs some serious work. Our hospital uses this as our physician paging system. It often beeps, but will not load a message. I was told by our IT department, "just uninstall the app and reinstall it, when that happens ". Sometimes that works, but today I had to uninstall and reinstall the app EVERY TIME I GOT PAGED TO GET THE MESSAGE! That's just ridiculous.

This app is more work than its worth! it does not work half the time! it will sit there and go off with several notifications in a row and no messages come through. Other times it does not let messages come through at all because it will not "connect to server". Also would be nice if it had talk to text!

4th y use: Unreliable, poor synchronization with desktop. Imterfering with patient care 2nd y use: still unreliable. Such a shame. Hours and hours without notification, and then suddenly bombarded with messages for hours ago 1st y use: significant delay in sending and receiving messages. Also you cannot share media crom your devices which does not make sense

It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Will NOT maintain do not disturb/ unavailable status-reverts to available as soon as device goes to lock mode, so I come back from a week off to messages that say Mrs fribble is crashing can you please call us urgently. From a week ago! I cannot tell you how many times I have come in @7AM to cortex messages from 2:00 in the morning, when I am at home in bed and not on call, about somebody bleeding and needs an urgent evaluation!BAD APP

Love the ease of communication with colleagues, but the app takes at least 60 seconds to load a new message once you've gotten the notification and opened the app. I also wish I would get a notification if I've already checked it on a computer.

Works, desktop and phone app But yet another app that can't be bothered with support or feedback. No way to directly contact company, and local support can't change the app, so problems never get addressed. Truly obnoxious IT behavior.

Notification of new messages can be very delayed, upwards of ten minutes. Syncing of the message after a notification is also unacceptably slow for a messaging app.

This app never works right for more than a few hours at a time. It tells you that you have messages when you don't and doesn't notify you when you actually do. I haven't been able to send or receive messages for over 24 hours now.
