With Cost a Cake Pro you can add ANY ingredient to your pantry, and you can add any additional item to the extras section, boards, boxes, ribbon, bling, and other such non edible expenditures.
Then you use your saved ingredients to create your favourite and most used recipes, and from here you can create detailed and accurate quotes for the basic costs of your cakes.

I haven't really gotten a chance to use this ap. The font is to big for the windows so you can't read what it says. I tried putting in one of my own recipes but I got irritated because everything is in oz or grams and all my recipe ingredients are is cups, tsp and Tbs. If they fixed these two problems I think I would really like this ap. Still waiting for problems to be fixed. My first review was in Oct. 2013 it is now April 2014 and um still waiting for the problems to be fixed.
A great app but unable to backup to my knowledge. So far I have lost the content three times and all the estimates I had done so far. Also not able to access from different devices. I'd appreciate help as I really like the app. Adding photos would also be cool. And being able to change the title in the recipes.
I love the idea of this app and it could be fantastic, but the font size is too large for the boxes on my phone and the back button exits the app instead of going back a page which makes its use frustrating. There's not been an update in 3 years so it looks like the app's been abandoned.
Needs a Few Tweaks A useful app but not quite there yet. Like other reviewers, the font is too big when entering pantry items. I have to rely on predictive text to see what I'm entering. Some suggested improvements: - ability to edit recipe name - ability to edit pantry item names - ability to duplicate recipes for variations. At the moment I do this using quotes, using the basic recipe then adding extra ingredients. - ability to sync to other devices
Its a good tool for bakers. Specially the beginners. But the fonts are too big. When we want to update our pantry.. I can barely see what I type. Other than that. I Love this app! Please make the update.. maybe there is a setting where we can adjust the fonts ourself. I knw this problem only happens on smartphones. Was ok on tablet. Plss .. plss.. look into it. Many thanks.
App works OK when you figure out it's quirks and user interface. I can't utilize the 'back' button on my Moto X (highly annoying) doing so just closes app, text is too large for some of the entry fields... Poor organization of menus and navigation. Adding the ability to email quotes/invoices would make this app even better. This could be a great app but it needs some fine tuning.
I have various devices and I have to update each one individually. Should be able to sync to own devices via account & password. I would pay more for the app if this was possible. I have already paid 3 times when I change my device. Otherwise a great app. I have sent messages via fb but never get a reply
Could be a 5 star if, one could make canges to recipe title. And other comments below, i.e. font size, tsp, tbsp measuring. Also that the back space doesn't jump 2 spaces, this is just annoying. Reduced rating to 1 star. After 6 months trying to communicate with developers about above said problems, with no responce from them. Not even via e-mail. Seems that they just picket the money & forgets about the user. Shame on you
I will upgrade rating once this is fixed. This is crucial for my potential customer quotes and why I bought this app. Owner said no new updates but I hope they fix these issues soon. I can't use my other cake apps without this one properly pricing my costs first. Also being able to use the phone back button without closing the app would b gr8!
I have to agree with the other reviewers in saying that the writing font is too large. This app also needs a good conversion tool. Also needs measurement in teaspoons, tablespoon. This could really be a good app if these improvements were made. Without these improvements its just a pain to use.
But there are a lot of formatting problems :( it is so close to being the most useful app on my phone e but some of the kinks in it make it almost unusable. .. I wish they would just give it a few much needed updates!
I would give this a better review. I purchased app for my HTC android phone. However, it's important the the boxes for typing in is made bigger or font made smaller. I think it would be a really good app if this problem was resolved. I tried to use it, but you can't see what you are typing in. Tried changing font size for my phone. Your demo before purchase shows words in full view! Please sort out this issue. It's annoying to purchase an app that you can't use! When will it be fixed?
The free has better settings for unit conversion. And I can not see what I type its larger than space
Good app. A few things to change. 1. Unable to edit recipe name, u have to delete a whole recipe jus because the name is wrong. 2. Unable to copy or duplicate a recipe. U have re-write the whole recipe even if you want to Make a minor change to it 3. In my country, we have ingredients that cost 5 digits, the app only allows upto 4 digits. If these are fixed I'd be happy to rate this 6 stars!
Very user friendly and precise... for the first time I can actually determine my actual cost of a cake!! Spend 1 day only to allocate all my prices based on current store prices, and now everything is a breeze!! To update price increases are easy and it automatically adjust my cost of recipes.
Just downloaded but having a major font problem. I can't properly read what I'm entering in the pantry items list.
Hard to use, I am in us and usually don't measure in grams. It won't let me change it and I hate doing conversions. Have not been able to price one completely yet without getting frustrated and giving up. Want my money back.
Really good but repeating what the other reviewers have said: change the font size please!! Also in quotes need to be able to enter multiple quantities of recipes eg I use a recipe for a batch of 12 cupcakes x 4 but have to select the recipe 4 separate times.
Font is too big!!! Cannot see what you are typing. Geared more for European bakers. Conversions to American measurements is tedious Difficult to navigate. Hasn't been updated since 2013. App creator is just collecting money.
Just needs the lettering making small when you are adding items because you can only see half of the words. Apart from that great little app.
It's a really good app, and I'm extremely happy that I bought it, but it's true. The font size is way too big and it's quite hard to see what I type in. I usually have to type really slowly, letter by letter so that I get the spelling right. Other than that, it's a wonderful app!
Such a shame. The tool is a great idea but doesn't work because the fonts are so big you can't click on any buttons or read anything.
This is a nice app. Few things I would approve on are, adding tsp and tbls measurements. Also in the recipie section, add an area so I can write my recipe directions. Other then that it has helped alot!
The fonts are too big, i can't see what i typed in the pantry. I can't delete ingredients that i wrongly added in my recipe. I can't rename the title of recipe or delete my recipe. Please add edit or delete button for that.
when entering data, the writings fonts are too big. i could hardly see what i type. the settings are horrible. good tools to use but some improvements are definitely needed to make it better
Wish it had bigger size cake tins on like sheet cakes, but otherwise it's a great app needs cups and table/teaspoon added too.
Though the fonts are too big, this app has been helpful. It would be more helpful if it included measurements for tablespoon, teaspoon, cup, pinch, etc.
Cant use my back button without exiting the app. Also font size problems.
Can't see the words, they are to large and I have changed my phone settings font to minimal. Still can't see words.
Love the app and would give 5 star as its so helpful for my pricing and quotes but you can't save to anything. Have changed devices and I have to manually re add everything as it doesn't come over on multiple devices. Is going to take me hours so not happyy. Pls help and get this fixed.
