Costpoint Time and Expense

Even when the text is big enough to hit the right thing it's hard to navigate with lots of tables and long, thin columns. Often one thing gets on top of another and you can't even see what you need. But today everything was really tiny and I couldn't even touch the right row. As a web developer I am really surprised that Deltek released this. The older app for the previous version was much much better.

I switched phones and it won't let me install on my new Samsung phone.

Update: A few months on and I still believe this is the worst app ever created. Not allowed to paste in "touch server" url. Aweful UI just like their browser version. Been using a few days now and its confirmed, Deltek has never hired a UI engineer. Authentication integration is trivial. I updated my password so I had to put in my PIN "wrong" 3x before being allowed to enter new password and set a new pin. Anything over a $1/Month for your entire company to use Deltek is too much.

I have run the setup twice now and it still does the same thing. After I get done running the setup, it goes to my time sheet (it also says something about 4 tasks to complete, I have no idea what it is talking about). I close the app and try to open it again and it wants to go through the setup again??? C'mon guys, let's make something from DELTEK that actually works and it user friendly.

Good app when it works. Which is intermittently. Opening screen ask for a URL which I don't have and can't find. No other buttons, tabs, or help. Great.

Garbage application. Everytime an update is pushed you have to log in like it's the very first time using the App. You just pushed an update on 9-1-2020 and now when I try to log in I receive an error message telling me that my organization does not allow me access to this app, which is incorrect.

If I could give it negative stars, I would. It blows my mind that in 2021 a company the size of Deltek has no idea what a UX/UI Designer is. There is literally nothing easy to use about this app or the mobile version of Deltek Costpoint. Recent mobile updates have taken it from unintuitive to a nightmare. Deleting this junk from my phone immediately.

This app has has way too much security. First you put in your 6 digit pin. Then your username and password, which it never caches either your username or password. Then you type in the six digit verification code it texts to you. If you include the pin I have on my phone to get into it, that's four layers of protection. And for what? So somebody does not log some time in the Costpoint app that's incorrect? Give me a break. The 6 digit pin is more than enough security for this app.

My company uses Deltek for time keeping and project tracking. The mobile app is being pushed via our Company Portal (Intune) to our users. Some phones work (mixture of iOS an Android) and others don't. The login is SSO based but never prompts to Microsoft for their password, just spins infinitely. Funny part is that you can enter the touch server URL in a browser and login just fine. What gives?

Random errors, it let me use everything with no problem for a few weeks then the next day I can't put in cost codes, yet I can go back to a previous day and edit them. Makes no sense. Extremely hard to navigate.

I have never been able to get this app to work. When it opens it asks to enter the url, which is NOT the url used on my computer and which is supposed to be specific to me. Now how the heck am I supposed to know that?! it SHOULD ask me for my user name, company ID and password and log me in. NOT give me an app that doesn't even know where it is supposed to go. Deltek, you should have stuck with the good version that worked because this "improved" version is super clunky & locks up all the time.

The App stop working after a few android 11 updates to my Note 20 Ultra. I believe it's something that have to do with the authentication processes thats making the App behave in a negative way. I will recommend to investigate the process after a user initially enters their username, password and system information.

App doesn't work most of the time.

Worst experience for mobile user input capability on an android mobile device. Looks awesome on the screen. Hard to search for company project ID's (PID's) if already not populated as line items. Can not input hours or enter comments. Mobile Qwerty keyboard does not show up when trying to input hours or comments. Can not edit or unsign timecard. Extremely Frustrating. Please include option to take mobile users to desktop version, or the actual website.

Too much going on with the logging in. I logged in once, then couldn't log back in a second time because instead of detecting my work email for logging, it kept detecting my school email. Too much going on; not worth the headache.

Poorly developed app. Unintuitive interface makes it difficult to navigate through. The latest update muddles an already sloppy user experience.

This app fails for those timecards for which I am a backup approver. They fail to display correctly: the time/charge code section is either blank or a copy from one of my direct reports. Their cards will show in my queue but have already been approved as well.

DelTek makes the worst, most user-unfriendly timekeeping in the business. Nothing is labeled, nothing is intuitive. Entering my time with Deltek is a nightmare and I have never had a worse experience.

Will only work once or twice every time I install. After that I am unable to log in due to an unknown error, so I have to uninstall and reinstall the app.

It sucks. Constantly having problems. I would never use this except that forced to by my employer. They go good together. Enough said

For anyone that the login loop issue, it may be because your default browser is not set to chrome. If you switch the default browser to chrome and reboot you should be able to log in.

Can't even log into my account on this app.

The app is limited based on features available on the web version, but is good for logging time. One key feature that would add to the app is fingerprint authentication.

Very inconsistent. Very difficult to login on any device. Would rather use the regular deltek app. Not even a one star rating

Flaky, often down or unavailable, limited customization to user available. More reliable than web version however. Nothing user friendly about it.

The connection is bad. From fingerscan, we have to enter the pass and waiting. Sometime is white blank no respond. No support call for issue handling.

App sucks every 45 to 60 days have to uninstall then reinstall and configure when your password changes. Why have an easier quick pin access associated if it fails on password updates. Do we have to change our pin codes when a replacement atm card arrives why no we don't.

It was working and I could login with fingerprint. Recently it asked me to provide my credentials and would not let login. Useless app.

App will not let you input more than 24 hours of charge codes in one day. Still have to take turns using a computer at work to input additional pay perks.

Won't load into my Google Pixel 2. Gets to 62% and stops there. Extremely poor app. It deserves a rating of less than zero. What kind of idiots can come up with a Android app that can't even be installed on an Android phone?
