Been using this app for years but now I cannot navigate off of it during a run (including the screen turning off) because it crashes and I have to start the session over. Does it in or out of safe mode, nothing else running in the background, doesn't matter. It also sometimes crashes the moment I hit "start run". I know it's an old app so maybe they just stopped supporting it? Very sad if so.

Frustrating.... the GPS only works some of the time. I can't add my own music. You can't see the workouts ahead of time so you have no idea what you'll be doing during your workout. It doesn't tell you your progress (ex. Run 4 of 5). I've used free apps that were much better. The only saving grace is the trainers.

Been using this app for years without issue, but since changing to new phone (s22 ultra) it is too buggy to use. It either freezes mid-run or walk and has to be restarted and skipped to where you were, to then freeze again, or just closes during the warm-up. Disappointing as apart from that I think it's the best couch to 5k app (I've tried a few) as it is easy to use and doesn't keep talking to you all the time like the NHS one or others do.

I just had my first run with the app, and it worked perfectly until the very end. I'm assume the trainer is supposed to say that the workout is finished, but she never did, and when I went to check the app it had closed itself and no data was saved from the run.

I use this app every spring to get me back in shape from a long, cold winter. Love it!

Good app but not really worth paying for. I was excited to pick my trainer until I realized that they're really all the same, just different voices saying "walk" and "run". Was expecting some personality and more motivating dialogue I guess. Overall, I'm using it and it works fine but there isn't really anything to it that you can't find in a free version.

The GPS function doesn't work at all. It said at the end that I had only done 0.34km. I mapped out the route I took on Google maps and it was at least 2km. Given this is a paid app, and the distance covered is one of the key goals, not being able to accurately (or even semi-accurately) measure the distance is a big issue. The app also doesn't connect to Spotify or any other music app. It only works with songs actually downloaded on your phone, which would be great if this was 2005 but it's not.

I've been using this app on and off for almost 5 years! Really like it. Only problem is with the new version, you cant skip the intro before you run! You also cant see the workout plan anymore. For instance, in the older version it would show you "5mins walking, 2mins running 1.30mins rest. 2mins running" (you get the picture?). Now I have no idea what plan is happening in each workout. Annoying when you might want to do a specific running pattern again. Other than that, love it and recommend!

So, there's no way to enter your birthday on startup via the text box. A calendar control comes up when you touch on the field. That calendar control starts at the current month and can ONLY be manipulated by touching a button to go one month earlier. Meaning you have to hit it 12 x 13 (the minimum age to sign up in years) times. It is the single most beautiful instance of webshit garbage I've ever seen in my life. Please never fix it. The app and this bug belong in a museum.

This is a good app for people who are just starting or getting back into running. I mostly use it for treadmill running, however, when I take it outside and enable the GPS function, it's always inaccurate. I run it with my Fitbit GPS and I always end up with significantly different results. If it were more accurate, I'd rate it better.

If you have never jogged before I'm not sure this will automatically get you to a 5k. It will get you going. The app often closes itself while in the middle of my run and there is no way to retrieve the progress I had already attained for that run. It also wont let you enter anything orher than distance if you run on the treadmill (or if it shuts down mid run). I know its cheap but i still dont think it was worth paying for.

I love this app! I can play music in the background of the run guide & there are lots of options for coaches. You can connect with friends on here & post on a personal board so your friends can see your journey. There are no notifications which can be both good & bad. At first I forgot I downloaded this app & then I was a week behind. However it isn't like other apps that bombard you. I would like an option for reminders. I will be sad when I complete 9wks. 10/10 would pay for & download again!

Very limited, doesn't export for import to other running apps and doesn't do any sort of splits. Only allowing timed segments instead of allowing the option of distance isn't going to get the average person to 5K at the end of the programme. It's still a great start/restart program and does the bare minimum to get a runner through the programme.

Wil. V. Mar 5, 2019

The GPS is off, often giving me less than half the distance. It really is only guaranteed to work if you run one way in a straight line. When the GPS works, the distance split is often wrong. You get correct paces and total distance but the distance for running/walking is wrong. Which means they messed up the math. They added a bunch of useless junk you can't avoid and the app feels less worth it as a result of the updates. I'll finish the app then move to a general app for running.

I'm at week 8 and everything is going really well! Sometimes the runs felt easy and other times it felt like the ramp-up was too extreme, but looking back I think the variety was a good thing. I love that I can play music from my phone at the same time. My only disappointment was that I couldn't use my Google Play playlists at the same time - oh well.

Kat. R. Mar 18, 2019

Simple to use. I can play muaic through my earbuds and when its time to run/walk the music will momentarily get quiet so you can hear the instruction and then it returns to normal volume. Very intuitive and user friendly. But if you are truly "couch" this will be a challenging program. Dont be afraid to repeat workouts if yoy cant complete them.

Lau. L. May 23, 2020

Love the app in almost every way, but it seems to only capture the GPS info / distances a quarter of the time, for me, which is kind of annoying. It rips me off several km almost every time, at the end of a workout. Otherwise, I like the options and simplicity of use, and that I can use my own music with it.

Sop. W. Dec 17, 2020

I have attempted to use this app twice now. It shuts down in the middle of the run and all the run data is lost when you open the app again. The first time I had YouTube music running in the background. The second time I had no music playing. So dissapointed as it would be a great app. Quite useless without a fix to this one though.

Lea. S. Jun 26, 2020

It's good, but apparently does not save your completed workouts anywhere, so if you switch devices, you can't download your progress to the new device. You end up either starting over, or starting a workout timer as if you are working out, and manually entering distance at the end of the workout, or skipping ahead to where you are on the program, with no prior workouts completed.

G. D. Aug 11, 2019

It is a mostly good app. The only reason why I deducted 2 stars is the cues to run/walk don't work when your phone is locked, even though the app is running in the background. By leaving the screen unlocked has caused my phone to pocket dial and to open other apps which is a nuisance. If they fix this issue it would be 5 stars.
