Countdown in Theaters October 25.

In COUNTDOWN, when a young nurse (Elizabeth Lail) downloads an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die, it tells her she only has three days to live. With time ticking away and death closing in, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out.

The "Ring A Round The Rosey" song is a nice touch, but the fact that it's controlling the flashlight is absolutely annoying. And what's with all the ads and how they give you extra time on your life? The app in the movie didn't give that option. I don't see their flashlights blinking like crazy. Then you got the vibration at like a pulse setting, that you also can't change. This app is just a way to watch your battery die incredibly fast because of the flashing constantly and the vibration.

Good novelty app. Accurate recreation and quite creepy. One nit pick however. The fact that the creepy sound effects play and all of that when you have something like 60 years is quite confusing but the flash is a nice touch. I think the sound/visual effects should play towards the end. Except for, obviously, the starting sound and the user agreement which, by the way, is a very nice touch. Overall, great app.

Quite an interesting recreation for sure. :) I like how the user agreement was recreated as faithfully as possible, and I think it's pretty cool how every time you reset the app, the date is always randomized. What I really don't get, however, are the random sound effects throughout the app (except for the sound when the countdown starts as well as the "violation of terms of service" alert), the app controlling the flashlight so early on (it should be when the countdown is nearing its end for better effect), and the highly unusual placement of a play button which really doesn't have a purpose as it just crashes the app. Recommendations: Delete the unnecessary random sound effects, fix the flashlight manipulation, and please explain what the play button was originally intended to do or just remove it completely. And possibly see if you can make a version that has no ads on it please.

Concept's neat but there are some problems with it. When I went to watch an add, I went from having 39 years to live down to 6 lmao. The constant vibrating, flashes and music playing is battery draining and annoying. I feel like the less time you have, the more frequent that behavior should be. What I think the worst offender was, was the fact that every 30 seconds, the same 3 adds would play. It really took away from the scary vibe. Not bad for a quick spook but I wouldn't recommend.

Downloaded the app. No noise, just a constant vibrating from my phone like a heartbeat even with the app closed. Tried to turn off the vibration but the app has no settings. It is set up just like the movie. Told me I have 45 yrs, 273 days, 6 hours and seconds to go. Uninstalled the app and then tried to re-install. Went to the app store and instead of being able to install it as new. It showed up as an already dormant app. Clicked it and my time picked up where it left off. Creepy!

Ads kills it, also the phone light and vibrating isn't scary when the apps tells me I have 39years... would be better to show a few minutes and then toward the end of the countdow use the sounds, vibration etc. Or at least send notifications like the movie... lame attempt

This app takes its content from a movie of the same name. Its a fun novelty. However the fact that it gives you an option to change the amount of time left is unfaithful to the movie. There are also a lot of ads. On top of all that the all takes control of your flashlight with no ability to change it in settings. Thats 1 star for being able to change it, 1 star for the ads, and finally 1 star for the flashlight. TDLR- Great novelty but poor execution.

The app works great but when my friends got it they had options at the bottom of their app like settings and stuff. I don't have those options and I don't know why. Also I keep seeing reviews of people saying they unistalled and reinstalled the app and got different number. I've done that like 10 time and everytime I get the same number. The countdown just picks up where it left off. Idk tho. Otherwise good app.

Omg😑that was really creapy! I just scared for a while. I thought it was real app same as the movie😂😂 well the way of scaring people is perfect but the most thing is the vibration 📳 and the flashlight 🔦 it repeatly makes sounds without any reason. Alos it would be better if the number would change randomly everytime you open the app and the interesting part is when the timer ends!

I didn't die :( also, it vibrates on every countdown, does not stay on if I turn off my phone and the years change each time I install it. Oh and also it lets you delete it while it shouldn't. Jokes aside, fun idea to have the app really installable, but they should put more effort to it. Nice promotion for the movie anyway.

I'm giving it 4 stars just because I dont like that it keeps closing and it makes my flashlight turn on and off, I do enjoy the fact it tells me I'm going to die on Monday, July 20, 2026; I've always hated Monday's. It says my friend will die Tuesday, October 16, 2029; we have both uninstalled and reinstalled and it changed our time just by days, our years stayed the same. This app may not be real but it's a good scare.

This app actually seems like it's real and it's good. But the thing is this app uses flashlight too much and it doesn't have the part to add or low your life points. I'll give it 3 stars because it uses flashlight A LOT and it doesn't have the part where you can add or low your life points.

It was okay u dont rly need to worry about dieng bc I saw a comment where they said the time changes if u re download it and it does what anoying me tho is that as soon as u download it it the flash goes off and vibrates alot I don't know about other people who downloaded it but for me the only thing that was constant was the music it could have done flash too but I didn't see it it was based off of a movie and even if this app was real in the movie they broke the curse so u will be fine.👌👍

It worked on Android, I also like with music and flashing lights I found that as a nice touch. I will recommend you watch the movie before downloading so you no what your getting. But anyway have a nice evening or morning. (Btw the movie is called countdown.)

I am a big fan of Countdown, though i watch the movie 10 times the movie has no ads i will love it to be more realistic like the movie,i love the app but also most of the parts like ( Bathroom,Stairs, and the bed) scares me i would have loved to give it 5 stars but the problem i had like 2 days left to live i never heard a lady scream if it is just a phone bug it is fine.It just i want to be tracked down to.

The app is great and that vibrating every second, that's a nice way to terrify people, and also that same time being continued after you uninstall and reinstall. Great Work!!! But if you delete all app data, then uninstall, then the next you install it would be a different time. Nice Work!!!👌🏻

Would be a fun novelty app if it weren't for the fact that it controls your flashlight while in the app. It also vibrates your phone randomly which is dumb, once a second or a heartbeat rhythm would make sense and be a fun feature. Please remove flashlight BS, and erratic vibrations. All the extra silly features take away from what could be a cool and spooky novelty. Also it's not faithful to the movie with this bloatware.

Shameless advertisement app. Seen more ads than actually seen the numbers. (3 ads within one minute) Also annoying that it randomly vibrates and flashes the Photo light. If it just sat there and showed numbers I would have kept the app, but this way I am just kicking it from my phone to never touch again.

S4M. Feb 15, 2022

I mean yeah it looks exactly like it does in the film but I think it's just really unnecessary that it vibrates every second and what's the point of the flashing lights? Also you can literally watch an ad to change the countdown number. I got 5 years and then watched an ad and got 7. Pretty pointless and very annoying.

Che. K. Feb 13, 2022

I would expect the app to act just like it does in the movie but instead you extend your life by watching adds( I'm not impressed with that) and the actual countdown doesn't look like the movies countdown does. On top of this the vibration after every second has to get annoying at some point I just wish the app had the same qualities as the movie overall it's a really bad app.

I like the app, I read some of the top reviews and they all say stuff about their flash light turning on and off and creepy music in the background, I tried it out and the same thing is happening with mine, I did get this app a few months back but I deleted it BC I needed storage space on my phone, and I got it back just now and it says the same time I got last time I downloaded it, I Recommend that you get it if you are into this sort of stuff :) have a good day/night!
