I was liking this app when I first downloaded it. Super easy to figure out and really cute! But lately I've been having to restart the countdown timer on my phone because it gets stuck. Was sitting at 21 days for 3 days. Restarted the timer and it was the proper time but this morning I had to restart it again. Very frustrating.
Love this app. Have been using it for years. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to set the repeating of events to be a number of days, weeks, months, etc. Like I have one count down that I need every 3 months but I have to modify it to the correct date every time. I also would like to be able to have multiple days of the week in one countdown (instead of multiple countdowns for one event)
Used this app for years. Got a new phone, downloaded it and now the widget freezes. It'll countdown for a day, maybe, but then freeze until I click into it and restart it. Kinda defeats the purpose ya know? If this could get fixed, I'd have no issues with the app but as it stands I have to find another one.
I love the app, it works well and there are myriad design options, including adding your own photos to use as graphics on the widget. However, there is no real calendar, you have to scroll through dates and months to choose a date to countdown to or from. Would love to see a visual of a calendar within the app so I don't have to look at my calendar app to find the date of, for instance, 3 weekends from now.
Seems pretty good so far. I've just recently downloaded and got it set up. I like that you can select from holidays that are already preloaded. I haven't tried putting in any other events yet. I especially like the smaller widget. I have a lot of widgets on my screen, the big ones take up to much space. I'm waiting to try this out for a while before I get the pro version. I used to have the count down app pro version until the developer apparently abandoned it and it no longer works.
Pretty good, but has a bug. The app features say that there's a 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, and 4x3 widget. These worked fine until recently. On my phone, it shows a 1x4 widget instead of the 1x3. So despite the fact that the content is barely 2 tiles wide when you don't use an icon, it won't shrink down to less than 4 tiles wide. This leaves what looks like two blank tiles on either side of it. Gonna look elsewhere.
It is a very good app compared to other similar ones. I have issues with holidays that occur annually, for example, every 2nd Monday of a month, not the same day. Only having annual as an option causes the event to show up on the wrong date the next year. I added holidays by country and once it passes, I get a repeat of holidays the next year showing on 2 different days. Work around is I delete the wrong ones. I have a year to figure it out.
I love this app! it's simple and effective. I use it to keep pressure going for deadlines, as opposed to just looking at dates. It's been and effective tool in helping me stay organised and focused, which helps me battle depression. I wish I felt like being more articulate, because I have lots more I could say. But if you've been looking for a great countdown app, let me save you some time - get this one! Note: I'm an actual person too. Actually excited😊
Feedback 2 (Edit): All widgets stopped refreshing automatically, since phone is updated on Android 12. Although this app also received an update for Android 12, but widgets doesn't work, like it used to be Pls fix the issue. Feedback 1: I have tried many countdown apps, and this this one is right up there in the list of top apps.
I chose the free, not premium, version. Easy to set up. Able to keep multiple countdowns. Nice selection of icons to choose from to personalize your countdown. Four widget styles to choose from (if you want to put a widget on your screen and not just go into the app to check out your countdown).
Doesn't really work properly. This app doesn't count by itself, you have to keep resubmitting your date/time and then it will go onto the next number (for example, I just had to do it again so it would change from 12 days to 11 days on my current countdown). App is not straightforward in how to use it. There aren't many designs for the countdown timer and many of them look awkward if you decide to type in any title for your countdown.
The app and the widget don't seem to be in-sync with one another. When updating the picture on the countdown app, the widget does not update. Even upgraded to the premium and still nothing! So frustrating when I have different events and can't make them distinguished. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.
Great app. It does what it's supposed to do while looking appealing on the screen, but lately the widget has been acting weird. Normally it would show the countdown on my home screen and I have to keep deleting and replacing the widget in order for it to show the correct amount of days left. I'm not sure what I should do to combat this issue.
I have used this app for years and love the look and design of it. The functionality of it, however, is severely lacking. In order to get the accurate countdown you have to click on it and restart the countdown every single time - even when it's up to date. I've reached the point where it's just not worth it. I want to quickly check it without having to go through all the steps to set it up every time. It's disappointing.
Really enjoyed using this app to have a widget that I could easily check to see when certain games would be releasing. However an update just came out that demands way too many permissions from my phone. It worked just fine before, so why would it need this extra permission now suddenly? Guess I'll be finding something else to use. There's also a notification in my tray now that won't go away since the update, very frustrating.
I find this app so useful and helpful especially in the profession I'm in. Once the information is entered you can set a notification, you have plenty options on how advanced you need the notification to notify you, there for, if you forget it will let you know. The adverts are annoying as they come up at not such a convenient time , but I can live with that. Thanks guys, great countdown app 👍
Like the app. Just wish I had the option to remove the down to the hour and minute display and just have day. Also sometimes it gets stuck, though the fix is easy enough. I like that there are lots of options for design to match the event.
I have used this app for years and loved it! Recently, the count was not updating as it should, but once I unistalled the app and re-downloaded, it is back to working perfectly. Just keep if mind you will have to re-add any dates since they get erased when you uninstall the app.
It's a really fun countdown app, I've been using it for an upcoming concert. But I noticed the widget on my home screen kept getting stuck for days and I'd have to go and refresh the countdown in the app :/
The app works well. I just wish I could find a version of these countdown apps that let's me put several in a 2x1 widget box. So lines of text instead of cute pictures because I use lots of countdowns during the year.
I've enjoyed this app for years now. However the widget recently started displaying empty. It's as if I have no dates stored. Uninstalling is too much trouble considering I have around 50 birthdays with photos. I have already had to do this once before. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO
As seen on other recent reviews, I too have used this for years and loved it! But I see it hasn't had any upgrades in nearly a year! The countdowns aren't updating and sometimes dissappear or show as "loading" unless I click on it. Gonna have to find a new ap/widget.
The last update is wanting to use your photos and call information absolutely NO need for this at all on the app. It's just a count down counter at the end of the day. I'm looking at using another app as it keeps popping up asking me to click accept and won't move from to of my screen.
The only issue that I have had with this is that the countdown will just freeze every so often. It has been saying 88 days 21 hours and 24 minutes until an activity for about a week now. I finally went in and re entered the information and the countdown jumped to the right numbers, but then yesterday it stayed on the same time the whole day. The app is a great idea, but an automatic countdown should probably count down..... right?
Was working fine for YEARS, but suddenly the countdown widgets freeze and i have to manually restart them if i want to know how close an event is getting. Please fix so this app is useful again! Tried to uninstall & reinstall but it didn't help, the widgets stay frozen unless i open each one and manually restart the countdown. App is essentially useless unless they fix it.
