There aren't a lot of countdown counters that are this simple, and that is definitely a plus. It could however use a little bit more customization options. Like: reverse full vs empty bar, start date vs days for full bar. An option I'd really like to see is the full week small print when you select workdays only. So, 10/14 for two weeks (10 workdays and 14 days in total). Now I use two 1x1 counters for this. But not a bad app at all! Even with these minor limitations I still recommend it.
The (free version) App starts with an advert most of the time, although this can be closed easily with no time limit and isn't disruptive. App does what it says on the tin, is simple to use. The option for colour chanes on the countdown is a nice extra too. *I don't use the widget setting, I just prefer to open the app normally.*
I guess it does what it should, but if you click on the widget in the middle of church or a meeting you are suddenly going to have a commercial blasting that you cannot turn off! Even if your phone is on vibrate. I get having ads, but does it have to be a video that just starts without you clicking on something indicating that you want to watch or are ready to watch? Uninstall!
I like the look and simplicity of this app. It's effective and easy to set up. My only complaint is that once I set up a countdown, I can't put a widget on a home page without recreating the countdown all over again. There needs to be a way to add the widget and select which countdown you want displayed. A suggestion I have just for fun would be to add the option to do a square or triangle instead of a circle. That would be cool. Other than that, I love the color options and enjoy the app.
Great app. Easy to use, great UI. At first, it was a bit much. But then I realized it all needed to be there, and I fell in love with it. Much better than the other countdown apps. I love it's simplicity. All the other apps wanted some big widget with lots happening (ie text that didn't need to be there). This allows you to reduce it to just the number and the countdown spiral. AND it allows you set when the countdown began, which I would have never thought of including but LOVE having.
Works excellent, the only flaw I noticed was that when you make a widget you have to create a new event rather than choose of one of the ones you have already created. However, you are able to change and customize the widget to a great degree before having to get premium for example to change the font. Love this app. Thank you!
Can't make a widget out of a countdown so if you create a countdown in the app you'll have to remake it if you decide you want it to be in a widget. Preventing the user from switching a countdown to a widget and vice versa means doubling the work for them. Additionally you can't change the color of the title (the label below the timer), even in the paid version, so it's hard to see on a lot of wallpapers.
Clear, minimalist design with no ads and neglectable premium features. However, it needs 2 more features to be useful: widgets need to show up inside the app and dates need to adapt to changes to events added through the calendar. Also, if it is true that this app plays an alarm before the end, there has to be an option to turn that off.
Nice app, and love the ability to select an event from my Calendar. Some key improvements would be: - Ability to hide particular calendars, i.e. public holidays, when selecting an event from calendar as well as ability to choose a particular date to quickly navigate said calendar event. Update: Thanks for adding the ability to add a home screen widget for a created event within the app rather than having to duplicate the effort if you wish to have both.
Full page ad on opening, widgets don't update unless you click on them and it sends you into the app, creating the countdowns itself is tricky, there's more that annoyed me but can't remember atm A banner ad would do the same, a full screen long lasting ad on opening is a was to lose users
Despite what the reply to my previous review said, I know it was my countdown widget that made the ad pop up on my phone. No, I did not have the app open, nor did I click on it. My other apps do not throw up ads, I am vigilant about this because it annoys me to no end. It will block your whole screen with an ad unless you pay for it.
It is a very appealing app. I want to use this app as a sort of reminder app too. Something like when the timer reaches the end, It can change to something else automatically and repeats this cycle. Especially for workouts that could be a useful feature.
I love your app.. Only thing... The widgets don't get saved in the main app... It would be good that each countdown widget is recorded in the main app... (Fyi I was looking for ages to find the advert free / premium version on Google play... Couldn't find it... But then I saw it in the settings... You are probably missing out on people buying as it's hard to see...) Cheers
I love this app. You can set it for any number of days out, or choose a date on your calendar, and it counts down the days (I'm sure you couldn't figure that out by the name 😂). You can resize it, and can set multiple countdowns simultaneously. The free version does not unlock all the available colors, but that isn't important to me, so it's just fine. I'm not sure if there are other benefits to the paid version.
The number of days on the widget does not update. For example it will stay stuck on '15 days' for two days and so it will be a few days behind/slow. It only refreshes/updates when you actually click on the widget. This led me to thinking a crucial exam was further away than it really was. It had awful consequences. Do not download this app. Their response to this review is about an old comment I made which has now been edited.
I like the appearance of this widget, and the customization options are a nice touch. However, the widget started out well, counting down as expected, but has stopped accurately displaying the right number of days. If I tap the widget it is correct, but the widget still shows the wrong number. If I resize the widget it will update to the correct number of days, but that is an inconvenience. 3 stars for appearance, customization, and countdown in app but knocked two off for the widget issue.
I like this simple countdown. I'll give it a "five star" if you add a few more features. The ability to customize the font color and add hours/seconds. Maybe add more fonts and the ability to add your own alarm to remind you when the countdown is finished or near finished.
Takes 10-15 seconds to open while an ad loads! I like the layout but I'm not going to spend all that time waiting for the app to open every single time. The ad at startup is annoying but if it was instant, could probably put up with it.
Sorting countdowns is inaccurate. Who counts 'left to right' on the first row, but then switches to 'right to left' on all following rows? Thus app is completely useless if I can't trust it to do such a simple sort task. You have one task and failed. Fire the developers and hire someone that actually tests/proofs their work to fix it. Uninstall.
I love using this app for setting goal! I think everything about it is awesome! The only thing I would add would be a count up option, sometimes I start or quit something and would like to see how many days I can go. Other than that the app is perfect!
Works wonderfully - the best there is. Some minor updated aesthetics of little difference would go all out . Text could use color just to be vibrant but I know which countdowns are what.
Used the free version of this widget many times. This time I decided to buy it because I didn't like the ads popping up. 99p didn't break the bank. It's easy to use with some good, simple customisation features. Good all round widget.
The elegant look of this app and widget make this the obvious choice for me. If the developer were to let me change the color of the font, it would be worth the extra star. I think it would also be useful to be able to choose start and end date via calendar instead of having to decide an exact number of days. The UI could be a little more user friendly, but overall, I really like this counter. Thanks!
I was looking for a simple app to countdown the days for my overseas travels, the reviews seem promising but lacked many key features (not many tech replies to issues, so now doubting the legitimacy of the positive reviews). Mainly, the home screen widget doesn't show the countdown, just a fixed ring. I found It easier to write a review than to try to navigate the app... I guess nothing beats old school reliable paper calanders with a 'X' on the date
