I love this app but recently it has had so many issues. I was making an event to count down to and it wouldn't let me move the countdown at all which was irritating and I restarted the app and it was doing the same thing. I thought uninstalling and re-installing might fix it but now I tried to log back into my account and it kept coming up with an error when I tried to log in even though my details are saved to my phone and I clicked 'forgotten password' but that just sends you to a bad gateway.
It's a good countdown.... BUT But there is a major bug that developers known about for at least 2 years and still have not sorted out: you cannot change birthday date or its visibility..... No idea where the date from, it's wrong and no correct one can be set! Redicilous really ;) So the level of support is actually very much questionable. Nice to have: It would benefit from archive option as not always you want to delete events!
This was a really good app. However I have just changed from an iPhone to android and it will not allow me to upload personal pictures, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the fault is still there, just says "oops something went wrong" 1 error exception recorded. Please correct this as I do enjoy seeing what I have done and what I am doing next
I installed this because I wanted the option of having a widget on my home screen to countdown to Birthdays & special events. The widget just doesn't work very well. After perhaps a day of working ok, afterwards it does not count down. The only way I can get it to reset and countdown once again is to remove it from my screen & then reinstall the widget. Unfortunately, having contacted the developers about the issue, there has been no response. I'm uninstalling and looking for an alternative.
I love this app. The interface is pretty and very user friendly, and even if you have to pay for specific themes and whatnot, looks pretty and useful enough without that if you don't want to spend money on them. I really like that I can add all my important events and have them all displaying at a glance in my phone. Their customer service is also top notch! I had a issue after reinstalling with login in Facebook but I contacted them in Facebook and in a few hours they contacted me and they were working already in the problem. Thank you so much for your hard work!
It's good, it's exciting, it helps build-up. BUT, for some reason the videos aren't working?!! I get the need for videos and would watch, but they literally don't play! So I can't remove seconds from countdown, I can't add a stock photo, etc. Frustrating!
Was once very good. So good I have had the full paid version on all my devices since at least 2013. Now has so many bugs that I had to uninstall it. 1) It recognises my previous purchases and restores, then when I connect to Facebook, it deleted all my countdowns. I had to delete and reinstall to fix this. All my old synced countdowns are no longer there, and when I create one ans set the correct date, it reverts back to today. So disappointed.
Excellent free app, with paid parts, that you can gain access to for an individual countdown by watching an ad. I love this app, & can get along with what's available for free. Been using this for years. Now it crashes. It worked 100% before Sept. 2020. If you really need a countdown app, I suggest using a different app for now. It's possible this will eventually get fixed, so if you like it, it's worth keeping on your device. Some basic functions work. Future updates may hopefully fix issues.
I have paid for inapp purchase for the full version. I have changed my phone and reinstalled Countdown app and the full version is gone! Now I lost the ability to back up my data and everything else that comes with the full version. When I logged in, the app said "all previous purchased has been restored" yet I was asked to pay again. Please help! Developer doesn't respond. ***** Updated the ratings after Developer responded and fixed the issue. Full version now restored. Thank you!*****
I'm not able to watch videos so I'm not able to use the widget or choose backgrounds and I don't understand why. If you could help that would be really good. Everything else looks amazing, absolutely love how easy it seems to use.
Having an issue where the app tells me to only change the timezone if I understand the implications of changing. Cool, I understand, I tap and it doesn't let me change. I have contacted the development team and been ignored.
Great when it works. But I have to pen and close it several times before it does. Had to uninstall 3 times Update. I am now unable to log in at all. When I select "forgotten password" to try reset I am told I am already logged in. I've lost the next 18 months events and can't use the app anymore
This countdown app is ok. The user interface is a bit clunky to set up a countdown. Sometimes the keyboard gets left open when it shouldn't, covering required menu options. It's limited for widget options, either you get a huge widget for a single countdown, or a combo widget for all countdowns. No small simple options.
I love the idea, especially the polaroid, but when I add the widget, the font and time display are wrong, some times are missing, as well as the title itself. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, because it looks perfect on the edit screen.
love the app but when I add images of my own to events they appear for a few seconds and then disappear. Annoying given I've paid for this app. Can you also amend it so that you can enter your birthday date by just typing the date in. I don't want to have to scroll past months and years to find my birthday - I know when it is, i just want to type it in.
The watch videos button doesn't work so can't earn credits to add an image or change countdown timer with weeks, months or years. Other than that fairly decent countdown app.
Keeps sending me notifications with the wrong amount of time until the event start and my events are showing the wrong amount of time left. Update: this app just keeps getting worse and the devs don't seem to do anything about it so I'm going to uninstall it.
I had a problem with syncing when I changed my phone. The support guys worked really hard to sort it out for me. The app itself is great, (I'd guess the fault was with my phone rather than with the app), and they give excellent support . Thank you.
things id like to see: - the custom images crop weird on my samsung galaxy s8. they almost always cut off the left and right sides - itd be nice to have a list widget without the three buttons on top - sometimes i watch the one time ad to unlock a widget and it doesnt unlock it - the ui is very confusing and takes too many clicks to add a new event - everytime i open settings with notifications turned off it pops up three alert boxes
Hello Everytime I go to open the app it just crashes, I have used the app for years no problems, I dont want to uninstall it and re install it as I will loose all of my countdowns, which I have a lot of... which I dont have saved anywhere else, which is definitely a lesson learnt. I only have the free version is there anyway of retrieving my data? Or even better fixing the problem without it deleting data?? Thanks Christy Bradley
I've had this paid for, ad-free app for some time now, both on my iPhone, and now my Samsung. It has been great, but now I cannot seem to save my own images to custom events, as other reviewers have stated. It's annoying and frustrating. Please investigate.
Can't create an account or sign in via Facebook, meaning none of the backups worked. App crashed losing all my events so I uninstalled. Waste of money upgrading to pro as it didn't help these issues. Notification settings didn't save first time so kept getting notifications, but that eventually stuck.
Get rid of the adverts! Deleted app because they want permission to use photos or I cant use the app. They say in yet another pop up they have to put adverts their to fund the app. It's literally a countdown thing! Every single theme I try pick i have to either buy it or watch the video. I'll just download one of the many hundreds of other count down aps that have less adverts and you dont have to watch a video just for a simple countdown. Dreadful app please save your time and dont bother.
i was using full version of this application for past few years in my iphone 5 s. when i brought this note9 on june 2019 i installed the application in this phone and purchased full version also. Unfortunately in my note9 it is not possible for me to change time zone of an event, but in iPhone it was possible. If the developers do the needful for adding the time zone change option in android application then it will be good.
My favourite countdown. Good quality, reliable, the PAID version allows you to take photos of your own or upload from your pictures file from your phone to add to your schedules. As well as your account portrait on the front page showing how long till your next birthday. Excellent app.
I have tried contacting the developer at the email address listed on the app, but I have received NO answers to my problem: I can neither sign on to my account (the email address is not found) nor can I create a new one (it keeps saying the name field cannot be blank when it clearly has my name in it); therefore, I can't back up my data. Also, I created a countdown for an event 6 years in the future. I specified notification a month before the event, but the app notifies me EVERY DAY.
Great layout. Unfortunately some glitch in the "watch video" for features so I can't get it to count down in weeks and days. No explaination as to why it isn't working (it says watch video is an option, going pro is another option but it isn't clear if that would work either)
