The states and provinces of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom (countries) and the United States of America can now be explored and added to your map. We are adding states of more countries periodically. Return to the app to keep up with them!

Two key problems with this app: 1. No ability to see a cumulative count of countries you have been to if you maintain a separate list of countries "been" and countries "lived" 2. This app doesn't know the flags of several countries so it just subs in the UN flag. Lame. Otherwise it's fine and serves its function. Would be nice to see the names of countries when you hover or zoom in on them rather than actually having to select them.
This app is helpful, the globe is a little tricky sometimes with the way it moves, but it has alot of useful features I'm finding. You can zoom in and see the cities and states not just the whole country which is good It has lists of things you highlight in different colours for what you want to do. If you tap on a country you can press the info button and see more details and pictures and things I haven't explored all of it yet but I will give it 5 stars so far, good for a new traveller.
When I initially used a different device, my info that I'd already added didn't appear but it seems that was an internet connection issue not the app. So far I am liking the app. I tried several others and this one seems to be the best. I would like it if it would be able to display a list of my cities and countries. I'm not sure why I can't check a country if I've downloaded the state's. But all in all it's a fun app.
Absolutely love this app. It looks very professional but I'd like to make a suggestion. I don't use the states feature because it makes the map look less filled in. I would suggest making it so that if you activate states for a country, it still fills in the whole country with the same colour, but a little bit faded, and the states visited get the full colour. That way the map would look filled in but you can also distinguish states visited. Thanks.
Pretty functional travel map, not as extensive as the TripAdvisor version but not bad and fairly easy to use. Like TripAdvisor the cities are not always located where they should be, so look around. In terms of listing the amount of the world you've travelled it goes by number of countries visited (very simple) where TripAdvisor has a calculation based on distances traveled.The search function is good and it lets you suggest places not already included. I'm having fun with it. 👍
Really like this app!! It would also be nice if you can not colour the "want to visit" countries form the map so that the only coloured countries are the "been there" and "lived there". I think would like to have that option.. 🤔 The app is really fun and you can make a list of places you want to visit so ghat you won't forget any! Great job guys!!
The app is good, but can be better. I like the idea that regions & states of certain countries become highlighted specifically if you want, but it removes highlight from the country itself. IE if I highlight California specifically I don't want the entire USA to lose its highlight, perhaps an overshadow of a different shade of the same color Also many travelers travel to places not on the map. An option should be added to add disputed independent regions such as Transnistria, ot Abkhazia
Very difficult to navigate through. You should be able to click on "countries been " and the countries you have been to should be listed! Instead you have to go through a list of every country in the world to see what you have clicked on. Ridiculous ! And some countries are not even listed on here. Frustrating! Seriously find another app This one is horrible and NOT user friendly
I think it's great, it has a lot of freedom and the fact that it's not just countries makes it better than all the other similar apps I have seen, what would make it better: a filter for a list of cities within a certain country, state, province, etc. Instead of the global one. And maybe a different color, yellow for example, to signify countries you haven't really been, but have travelled through, like in the car or in the train, or even a wsy of custom categories in whicj you van pick yiur oen color snd name. Also maybe implement dotted lines for disputed territory, I don't mind cause to be honest they are far away from home, but I could see how it could anger people from particular countries with disputed territory. Maybe fo rf the smaller countries, like Denmark also add the states/provinces.
Decent if you were in well known cities internationally. I've traveled in the Navy and lots of city ports I've visited in different countries were not listed due to them being small but I could have submitted suggestions. I didn't want to do the work but I'm sure it'll be a good app for someone just not me.
Best app for marking places you've been. The app needs to update some of the states/provinces/departments though. Also the Wikipedia link in the info tap is not working. Some larger countries should also consider having their states included
The app is almost perfect... the only request i would make is a feature to show when you have been to a country more than once, you should be able to tick an option of 'been again' and it could show a x2 in the stats
Generally like the app. However, everytime I do countries by region...after a few months, the map resets, showing only the country level...and I have to redo all the regions of a country again. Not cool!
It ssems to be easy to use. I was able to easily update from a Wish to a Been There. I like that there is a way to enter just the US states one has visited, also for Canada. I haven't tried for another country where we lived and traveled extensively, but didn't get to all corners.
Great app ! just what I wanted but there is one issue, just because a land nass us technically part of a country doesn't mean ive been there. For example I've been to france but uve never been to Corsica but its now coloured in, and I want to travel to scotland and northern Ireland oneday, ive lived in england and visited wales but because it's all technically the UK its all marked as 'lived in' which is just annoying! If this sort of thing can be fixed I'd happily rate 5 stars
I really like this app. It is a lot of fun to list all the places I have been. Sometimes the smaller towns are hard to find and even harder to read on the display. Even if you search for it and the app finds it, it is not easy to see it on the map.
Nice looking app but when you're using the list view of cities and you press the info icon, when you go back it puts you at the very top of the list, which is very annoying if you are a long way down the list. Also it somehow cleared all of the cities I had marked as "been" which was even more annoying. I've uninstalled it.
I like this app. My only issue is the color selections. "Been" cities turn green, which is the same as "been" countries. A contrasting color (yellow) would be better.
A pretty cool app that gives nice visualisation. As others have said some geographic features would be nice. Love all the information you can gather on cities, states, and countries
The lack of geographic features besides borders and cities makes it difficult to navigate. For instance, the state of Michigan is not easily recognizable due to the great lakes being absent from the map. The app needs to be integrated with higher quality maps to really excel.
It's a nice concept, but there are flaws eichmann light to be very easy to fix. Firstly, please use an accepted definition of countries / states, and boundaries and say where it comes from. Using this app, I list as 137 countries, but by UN definitions several are not really countries at all. Looking at other comments it seems this is a concern. Secondly, how can it be that by living in a country you no longer visited it? Odd. Otherwise, very good
It is a rare occasion for me to write a review. This is one of my favorite apps. I can document where I've been and research all the places in the world I'd like to go. I've learned so much about the world on this app. As an avid user, here are a few features I'd like to see: 1. A way to make notes on a specific place. 2. A way to make lists. Such as, "Travel destinations 2019" or "bucket list destinations" thank you!
Mostly great as far as marking actual cities, some towns, and countries. Would give 5+ stars if the following improvements were implemented: landmarks, major tourist attractions, bodies of water, and other small towns added. Also would like the sharing option to provide a complete list of the places broken down into categories. I hope some or all of these additions/changes can be accomplished.
