I always liked the simplicity of the free version of this app, but when I upgraded to the Galaxy S6, the app was no longer compatible due to the S6 not having a menu button. I was worried this one wouldn't work either, but I decided to risk it based on the screen shots. This one doesn't need the menu button, so it is compatible on newer Samsung phones. Also the features on the paid version are really nice. Totally worth it.
I'm never without my phone, so I'm never without County Plus! I started using this several months ago and upgraded almost immediately. I've lost a few little row/stitch counters over the years so this is perfect! Only thing that could possibly improve this app is if there were the ability to add a few lines of notes for each counter. Otherwise its awesome! The best counter I've found so far!
County was actually the first app I ever bought, from another app store. I don't use the other store now, but I love my county app, and had to grab it again... I've used other counters for big projects, but I always come back to my big, easy to see/hit numbers... It's especially shines when it comes to those spur of the moment projects that you need to count, but don't want to spend more time setting up a counter than getting it knit/crocheted
I've used County for some time now, both on my tablet, on my old basic smartphone, and now on my S5 and I've been very happy with how it works. With the addition of multiple counters per project, it's almost perfect and does exactly what I need for 99% of my knit and crochet counting needs. My only nits are that there's no option for the multiple counters to count in any way but synchronously and the maximum number of rows in a repeat is 99 and I'm currently working a pattern where the repeat is 128 , so I'd love to see the ability to make a repeat larger than 99 and the ability to increment my counters separately.
The only feature I think it might be missing is a goal--e.g. I'm currently repeating a two-row repeat 45 times, and wold love to see it ding or flash or something when I reach that, but otherwise I love this! The multiple counter feature is awesome. Totally worth upgrading from free!
I've tried several row counters for Android. Not only is County the best of them, it's the first app I've actually loved enough to upgrade to the "Plus" version. Love it as a counter and now look forward to linking it up with Ravelry.
I'm one of those that have more then 1 project going at a time. Worth the extra to be able to have my rows already for me to continue any project.
I love this version of County Plus. The ability to include pattern repeats and additional counters, is great. However, would it be or is it possible to have a pattern repeat begin at a row other than row one (i.e. repeat rows 22-42 until you run out of yarn or 3 or 4 more times)? That would be sweet!
I've used the free version and then upgraded to the paid version. Love this app. She has now added multiple counters to one project which is great! This is better than the old counters that seem to get misplaced.
Love the 2.0 update for multiple counters. Please add ability to control each counter separately e.g. have counter 1 count independently of counter 2 as used in shadow knit or brioche knit and ability to begin cpunt at other than row 1 as used for chart/reps that read "work 1-20 then work rows 5-20"
I downloaded this 2 years ago and have used it everyday since. Currently knitting a project with a cable and 2 different simultaneous increases - the app is so invaluable that it's prompted me to finally go back and write a review!
I don't need a counter for crocheting but I do for knitting! This is the greatest app. I love that I can customize the counters for pattern repeats. Such a life saver!
I paid for the upgrade to get the multiple feature. Easy to use, understand and go back a row when you muck up. Not that I know what it means to muck up a knitting project (whistle and look away). I use it everyday for almost all my knitting projects.
Please update...my Android just did an update and this app might not function properly.
Nice counter but I am having a problem. Every time I try to save my edit notes to Ravelry it will not save. :( Is there anyway to add a link button on the app directly to Ravelry?
I had to upgrade so I can use all the great added features like multiple projects, counters and ravelry connection. Wonderful tool to help any knitters/crocheters! :-D
I love this app, but all of a sudden it's not syncing right with ravelry and I can't get rid of counters for projects I've finished, which is making it really crowded and hard to find the counter I need. Please fix!
Sometimes the numbers disappear for no reason when you increment.
Best counting app on the market for knitting/crochet projects. Multiple counters per project.
Easy to use and you dont have tobworry about leaving your row counter at home
Easy to use and indispensable for any level knitters
I absolutely love, love, love this app
Been using this for years, it's intuitive and easy to use
