fine when it works , but far from reliable Every time the app is updated it gets worse. Now it won't fully download, so that I can read offline,and the downloaded editions are not showing in the library. How about just fixing it then leaving it alone!! 26 Nov , still not working properly. Wont download at all today. 8th april 22 New app does not work at all, cannot download paper. Would rate app as 0 stars if possible. Do not waste your money.
This app is just terrible. Always waiting whenever I try to enlarge anything it stops and goes totally smuggy and then closes. Hugely frustrating 🤯🤯🤯🤯 have been a subscriber for 35 years and think I will have to cancel if it does not improve.NOW WORSE
Unbelievable, this latest version of the app is woefull, I canot download the paper because it sayes that I am offline.Finally rang and waited for 25 minutes before I hung up, seriously, what are they doing in the engine room, don't they realise that there is a problem with all these people complaining..I will cancel if there is no improvement in the next week.😡
So very unreliable, sometimes the app loads, most time lately it doesn't! Please fix the bugs in this app!
Can't download paper. Says no internet connection however everything else on tablet works fine with working internet connection. Very frustrating.
When going to submit comments to articles the response is Not Auth. And when I when to submit a enquiry via the website I couldn't locked out. Very poor tech support for a paid app.
App keeps stopping and everytime I try to read a story it resets and takes me back to the top story I've tried to go into settings but everytime it resets the page please fix this issue asap

The Google News app aggregates news sources from everywhere and that way you will not have just Murdoch's political OPINION. Google's news app allows you to choose from so many sources allowing you to be able to better see truth. Do you believe everything you read on the internet and news corp?
The new app is even worse than the old app, if that is possible. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A which was supplied as part of my subscription, so you'd be forgiven if you expected it to work. It crashes several times each day, takes forever to download the print edition, never auto deletes old content as it is set to do, and isn't formatted correctly for the screen size.
This app has a lot of bugs on Android 10. If I have a graphic from news item and it occupies full screen, it's impossible to scroll. I have to exit story and re-enter and then big pushup on screen to bypass graphic. I don't have the same problem with full newspaper. I find that this is a very annoying problem if I'm trying to fully understand a story.
Can't download paper to read off line since last update. The menu at the top keeps showing me access to print have to turn off after opening every page. Page 8 and 9 in today's paper are exactly the same. Font size stays small even when it shows large font in settings. Unfortunately this app is still on par with the writing and spelling of your young reporters. So that's it no comment from app developer no help to fix it no nothing. Very poor service from courier mail again
Constant problems downloading Sunday Mail. Attempts to download show today's paper as Saturday's Courier Mail. Servers also can not cope during peak periods. Selling a service that they very regularly can't provide. Bordering on fraud! Update. Latest upgrade to the app has resulted in it being all but unusable. Constantly reports that I have no internet connection everything else is online without problems. I have been unable to read this paper in its entirety since the "upgrade".
It's a terrible app. Latest update has a popup that keeps coming on the bottom of pages unnecessarily.Very annoying. Also on Sundays trying to read the articles of local journalists Rory and half is there then you have to wade thru Harvey's advertising blurb to finish it. Then go back again for the next article. Please print them on the previous pages not the centre one. Yesterday and today the app icon won't open up, but have gone intoplaystore uninstalled it then installed again. Age easy!
Courier Mail - how do you get your app so wrong, so often. This app just keeps getting worse and worse. Every new release of the app just introduces new bugs and rarely fixes any existing bugs. Have your developers never heard of testing their changes, or are you just trying to completely annoy, and therefore lose, your customers. I have phoned News Corp reporting problems on many occassions - but still to no avail. My patience has run out. I have cancelled my subscription.
Selecting a notification doesn't take you to the article. Notifications contain insufficient information, and clutter the screen with unnecessary photos. Regional and local news is relegated to some netherworld low down in the list of stories, despite regional papers (apps) like the Morning Bulletin being taken over by the CM. both the app and the content are frustrating.
UI/UE is good. However, even with only notifications of breaking news turned on, EVERYTHING is breaking News leading to turning it off. In a given day you can expect to see 9-14 P/day. There is no way to tune this such as sports news not being delivered to you. I am paying for a subscription, even with this does not deliver granular control.
Not loading properly. Keep getting no internet connection. Despite following every suggestion you advise such as using Chrome, turning off router and backing, etc, plus checking every aspect of my cable to home connection at 60Mps, nothing improves. All other apps work perfectly on my latest version Samsung smart phone. The problem is clearly your app which has bugs it never had. Talk with the person who deals with adjusting your app unnecessarily.
Sodoku in digital edition needs to be interactive or publish same puzzles on daily games so we can do same ones published in printed edition of paper
Can't read as an online paper or download the paper for about four days. Can only read in webpage format.
Will not let me read the paper. Says no internet when I try to open!! I am definitely connected.
Wanting to give ZERO stars - since the recent update, this app is frustratingly difficult or impossible to use (on tablet) . Extremely slow to download an edition, or won't download to read offline, can't print crosswords legibly unless download individual puzzles (wasting paper), fiddly trying to move between pages, misses top or bottom of articles when scrolling up/down. Thinking of cancelling subscription & reverting to hard copy purchase
New app is terrible, reading the paper used to be easy and fast, however after the most recent update, its now painfully slow. A page with graphics can take upwards of 5-10 seconds to load, which makes it near impossible to consume the content I'm paying for. Is there any plans on fixing this to allow me to get what I'm paying for?
App does not allow you to download a digital copy of the newspaper any more.
Pay for a subscription and can't use the app. Closes everything I open the app and can't read anything. Waste of time 😥
As per all the other one star reviews. I have been a subscriber for many years and this new app is terrible. Won't download todays paper with any consistancy. When it does eventually download it is as if each page then has to download again when you turn pages. It's not as if it is a free app. I'm actually paying for this!
Prior to the most recent update, if I read an article on my phone, it would be shown as unbold which indicated I had read the article. This feature does not appear now. I found it easy to see new stories at a glance by having this feature. Any chance you can bring it back?
The app update is a disaster compared to the previous one. Screen navigation on my Tablet is now a frustrating experience in every way. I have complained twice in person, sent an email to the editor but no one is listening. Something may happen if more subscribers review the CM app.
The app has been changed to make it slower, more cumbersome to use and frustrating to read. It can only be read in landscape view, so that those with smaller tablets won't bother. What genius thought this one up? Surely, the CM will lose subscribers with this "improved" version. Just an update on the comments above. The paper will not download at all. What a pathetic app!
