Arm / Disarm through the app don't work. The alarm system is great so far, but the arm/disarm function from the app just keeps throwing an error. I've only had the system for a week so I'm hoping this is the only issue I find. However, it's important as I was counting on remote access to it since I am not always present. Will update review if the app gets a functional update.

As a home security system, I'm very satisfied with Cove, however the app leaves a lot to be desired. The remote arm and disarm features work fine, but the push notifications don't work a majority of the time and the app quite frequently crashes.Also, the Yi cameras that came with my Cove system are not compatible with this app, so you have to use the Yi home app, which is rather inconvenient. Cove definitely has a lot of bugs to be worked out as far as the app goes.

The system was really easy to set up and it works great (accidentally set it off the other day. Whoops!) But the app is AWFUL. I haven't had any of the sensor activity show up in my logs in days. I also really detest the patio camera. I have tried EVERYTHING to get it to only let me know if anyone is on my porch but it just lets me know everytime a car drives by. Every. Time. So I had to turn off the motion detection. Fix the app and camera issues please!

Very disappointed. Fix the issues, cove. I did tons of research before picking a security company. Then I waited for a year until cove added outdoor cameras to their repertoire. I made the wrong choice. The app is not user friendly, the service itself is spotty at best (it's not my internet, I have fiber and my cameras are all directly next to routers), and, after literal years of nothing but negative feedback regarding echo integration, NOTHING has been fixed. They don't care. Go elsewhere.

I like it and it works well most of the time. But for the past 3 days I've received zero notifications from our outdoor cameras despite them being on and detecting things if I go into the app. If I'm not home, I want to know if there's something outside my house as it happens! Notification settings haven't been changed so I don't know what the issue is.

Very often you are unable to arm or disarm through the app. You also are unable to delete routines and most routines you set do not work. Also the time zones do not match up to where you live. Everytime I call I say they are aware that the app has issues and they are working on it for two months. So far nothing has been fixed.

I updated the app and haven't been able to login since. I've tried resetting my password multiple times and having my login info removed and re-added. This is on top of the outdoor cameras alerting of every car driving down the road but then not telling us when someone is actually at the door. They're almost pointless to have. At this point in time I wouldn't recommend Cove Security to anyone.

Terrible. Terrible and might I add TERRIBLE!! There is constantly an issue with app notifications. Technical support will just read scripts and you will be waiting until it decides to work again for however long. The cycle repeats itself If notification and app access is important to you then don't choose this company. You will be disappointed.

Havent gotten a notification in 5 days. I arm it everytime I leave and it used to send a notification to my phone once it was armed. However, recently I havent gotten a notification. The app is updated and notifications are turned on. Im worried that if the sensors are triggered I wont get a notification. Hopefully the text notifications go through during a real emergency.

I love being able to arm and disarm from the app. The ability to see my cameras and what status the sensors show in one place is fantastic. It does have some occasional issues with consistency in showing armed or unarmed, but I still appreciate the functionality! Hopefully this update will correct those issues.

This app is one of the worst apps for a security system that I've ever seen. The routines and the push notifications are constantly not working. I've tried rebooting restarting, uninstall and install with the Wi-Fi on and off and still receive the same consequences.

I am not seeing the new fixes. I pay for access to an app that doesn't work. I am constantly getting kicked out when an error message pops up after getting in and accessing just one camera then have to log back in and go thru process which requires me to keep entering credentials to get in. Please fix this!

This app sucks. If more than one member of the household is logged into it nothing will load for either of you. I am constantly backing out of and reopening the app to see my cameras and it has to load for 10 seconds first. The problem is not our Internet it is this app. We are so frustrated with how inconvenient and frustrating this app is that we are looking into a new security company.

Recently purchased outdoor camera and it won't do more than a 6 second clip no matter where I set it. Not sure it has a very long range either as I will walk in my yard and never get picked up.

My routine stopped working a couple days ago, so now I have to manually arm and disarm the system. Just got off the phone with them and they said an app update caused this, as well as the cannot log in issue for many others. They couldn't give me any estimate for when it will be fixed but said they're working on it. I wish I could configure everything in the app that's available on the panel. Pretty much the only thing you can do is set routines and manually arm or disarm the system.

You pay extra for the app access, and it doesn't give push notifications. The whole point of getting the security system, is the be notified of security threats. When you speak with a representative, they just say "Yea, there's a problem with the app, we know. We don't know when we'll fix it." Again, this is unacceptable being that you have to pay to use the app to begin with. I'll probably be sending the whole system back and getting one with another company.

Doesn't give the option to even add a login or change password. If you manage to log in to the system, nothing works. After multiple times of uninstall/reinstall it's still not working. Don't waste your time with this app, customer service won't help either.

It's been about 5 days and motion sensor history is still not fixed. A major security feature like that not being fixed in thay time is very concerning. If this goes on for a few more days I will be looking at other companies. Either fix it asap or roll back the update!!

It's not giving me any notifications when my system is armed or disarmed anymore. Now I'm extremely uncomfortable, if my system was triggeredn will I not be getting a notification for that too?? This is an alarm system, this is extremely important please fix this ASAP

Not ready for Primetime. The system as a whole is average however the app is worthless. I could go into detail but why bother, there are reviews out here dating back over a year with the same issues so I have no reason to believe they would listen to me. Off to Ring or SimplySafe.

This app is garbage..with the latest update, I can no longer log in. It doesn't recognize my password. And, of course, just my luck, our alarm triggered while we were gone bc our glass break sensors are malfunctioning, and we couldn't log into the app to cancel the alarm. So far, I absolutely hate this service. If you're reading this, yes, you should buy Simplisafe instead.

Since the new panels, activity does not show. How am I supposed to know when/what areas of house are accessed if there is a break-in? Especially if I'm home alone. Pretty much this eliminates half of the security features of the already very slim app.

Does the bare minimum of arming and disarming your alarm. As well as the portal to view the cameras and adjust their limites settings. It completes those functions mediocre at best. The app doesn't provide push notifications. These are usually sent via email. However, currently the email notification system is down. So you don't know if your alarm is armed or disarmed, or if there is a motion alert from the cameras. Have had this system for 2 years, the app has barely seen any features added.

So many issues. Right after the time change, my system stopped running my routine to disarm the system. Found that my profile was set to EST rather than CST. Couldn't edit my profile. And when I tried adding a new routine the default time was one hour behind my current time as if it thought I was in EST.

The app sucks. Can't connect is not in sinc with the home panel. App states it didn't arm and the panel is counting down. Very unreliable.

I love how easy it was to set up the alarm system. A little disappointed with the app, though. The app works fine for basic things like arm & disarm, check sensors, etc. It's lacking the ability to change the premises name, schedule access for guests, or even change settings like on the control panel. Hopefully all of that will be implemented in the next updates.

EDIT: Since I last posted. The app has been working better. I can arm and disarm the alarm from my phone. The only issue I have is with user setup. The panel and app seem to be at odds with each other. I set up 3 users on the panel but they don't register on the app. I figure this will get sorted in short order. Cove seems very on top of things. For improvements I'd suggest some customization around app notifications. That seems a bit lacking at the moment.

This is one more company who took the time to produce a great product and provide a great service at a reasonable cost, only to fall completely on their face when it comes to their app. I used to be able to log in using my phone's fingerprint app. Suddenly, that stopped working. Then it stopped retaining my phone number/login or my password and inserts random numbers into both fields automatically. If they don't fix this soon, I might discontinue my service with Cove.
