Doesn't work all the time. I have to keep uninstalling and the installing again. Despite being told problems was being looked in to. I'm still having problems months later. Poor service... A year on and I'm still having same problem . Update ..... Two years from first review still having problems with this app .

Ok for local news. Issues with videos being played on lots of stories. I don't have unlimited data so only use on WiFi. The journalism on here can be funny with the lack of basic proofreading and contradiction. The House rules basically means they delete any valad posts if the opinions aren't matched to theirs.

Update - August 2020. For some reason this app keeps stopping as soon as it is launched. Uninstalling and reinstalling makes no difference. Okay for mainly (but not always) local news. Main issue is that there are many occasions where there is initial coverage of a story, but then no further updates. Also often sensationalises relatively trivial stories.

Unable to post comments on topic I follow since the last update. Tells me unable to log me in but to carry on reading articles

Awful .worst site I've ever seen ,continually crashes .nothing works as it should. Totally frustrating. Needs an urgent update

Content is sparse, but OK for free, seems to be an app update every few weeks which is annoying. Also data usage is huge, especially when compared to the BBC news app, don't use this if you have limited data

Looks like others are having a similar problem since the last update, as in the app constantly keeps crashing on start up. Deleting all the app data via settings or re-installing the app gets it working once only, it then keeps crashing until you repeat the above. Seeing apologetic replies to other comments from the developer saying there's a fix, but still not available from Play Store!! Update 21:20; 5.0.4 successfully installed, app now working properly.

Having used for years did the latest update and rubbish it now keeps crashong. Have applied all phone's updates as well to latest version as other people have done and now it constantly keeps crashing and won't open. Poorly thought out Have now uninstalled it and won't use until it is fixed or reverted back to previous version

Same experience as Sharon Camwell posted on the 7/8/20 below. When I delete and reinstall the app it works once. The next time I open the app it closes straight away. I am using a Samsung Galaxy tab A running Android 10. Please fix as online version is very awkward to use. Update appeared in Play Store today and after installing is working correctly again. Clearly insufficient testing of updates is been carried out before release. Pleased that the issue has been resolved.

Unfortunately it's a very poor service. Many times there's spelling or grammatical errors. then there's the clickbait headlines. You'll see a headline such as "6ft of snow on the way" then you read the article and at the end it'll say, "only in the Scottish highlands" and Coventrys' weather will actually be, "6°C and sunny." It is actually the best option out there for local news and sport, however it gives the impression it's all written by a work experience employee sat at a desk miles away.

Used this app for years and been very good. Now it crashes every time i use it. Same on partners phone. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same thing happens. Get it sorted!

Good for traffic updates and local news. Would be better if coventry live involves more sport news. It would also be good if coventry live would provide dates and times of events happening in the city. Overall a very good app. Keep up the good work!!

It is not always local news and often has stories that are recycled and rehashed by its journalists to tempt you into believing it is a new story. Too many adverts also. The CET used to be an excellent newspaper. Now it is hardly worth reading.

App keeps stopping. If it was updated last Friday, there is still no update on Google Play and it is now Tuesday afternoon. Update. The problem now seems to have been resolved. I deleted the old one and reinstalled.

Waste of time. The app keeps stopping. I cant be arsed to keep downloading it. It should have been fixed by now but Reach are obviously not up for it. Have unloaded the new version. Still a,waste of space

Was working fine, now opens for a second, and closes immediately, leaving annoying report messages, keep getting notifications of local news events, cant open app to read the story.

I agree with all other commentators. The problems with the new app are still not resolved, it either doesn't open or opens and crashes. When will it be repaired?

Great app and works well. Up to date news and coverage of everything in the city. Including Breaking news and alerts. Very useful, helpful and informative.

Unable to use this app for the past week tried uninstalling and reinstalling umpteen times! Sometimes works once then keeps restarting. Needs fixing or reverting to previous version asap!!

You say the app has the latest version 5.0.4 and you ask me to update to that version. But the app info states it was updated to version 5.0.3 on the 19 August not 5.0.4 as you stated. So is that why the app keeps closing down, I have uninstalled and installed it that many times it still loads then goes of. It is probably you don't know what version you loaded. That's why it crashes.

The app keeps switching off and doesn't show me anything. This is since Saturday afternoon and even though I uninstall it and then reinstall it it just returns me to my home screen. What is wrong with it

Waste of time, have to uninstall and reinstall then can only look at it once, this app has been getting worse, suppose to get Coventry news but more out of town news than local and cant comment on articles

this is the hardest web site to navigate, ads pop up every time you go to a new story. there is no fluency when scrolling. Terrible

Keeps on closing within a second of opening the app. That's Y the 1star✔ Think in GREAT NEED TO BE LOOKED AT as soon as you can. I like reading about local news.

good, though do not need to be reminded over and over of the same news feed once read , no more reminders. otherwise excellent content

App was working perfectly until it was updated, now it doesn't even open. Unfortunately looks like I'm going to be deleting this app, what a shame.
