Tried trial but could see no layers of coverage. Upgraded to paid US Maps and HD subscription thinking that would help. Still nothing. Closed app, reopened, still nothing. Had to restart phone and then reopen app to get the HD maps to load. However, I still have NO coverage layers no matter what I try. I toggle them on, but they never show up. Keeps acting like I need to buy maps, but then says I already did and the layers are toggled off & don't show. Frustrating waste of money at this point.
We live in southeastern Indiana and am a Verizon customer. We have many areas that simply drop carrier. The app shows constant coverage in those areas that drop calls. It needs to be more realistic and accurate. Great attempt though. There are other apps that I find more useful at this time.
Accuracy inacceptable. To test the app I was at a known large spot with -110 to -120dB LTE. This translates into intermittend no connection or connection. The app is showing a decent average coverage and does not give an indicator where better signal strength could be found. Useless. Deleted.
Very helpful app for determining cellular coverage. It would be more useful if the colors were more differentiated, it can be difficult determine different levels of service on the map.
Update: now lte is missing for all states but alaska. Took away even more stars Old review: Inaccurate, shows coverage in many places where there is none. Too broad, one little peep of coverage once in a blue moon and the entire area is marked "good" even if signal is completely unusable.
Does not show speed/bars. It is just a binary overlay (service or no service). For example, there is not enough service to make a call at my current location, but it shows there is coverage.
I tried out about 5 other coverage apps and found this one to be my favorite one. It is laid out well, easy to understand, and when I had a purchase problem for the upgrade the tech support was swift, helpful, and courteous.
I paid extra for HD maps, only to find out that I have to pay again once I open the app. While the dollars won't break me, I'm pissed because the don't explain that up front. The maps I get for $6 is no better than what the carriers have on their websites
Finally, a convenient mobile app to compare and contrast cellular coverage from the Big Four. Great for planning excursions and optimizing which signal boosting gear you'll be taking on that trip.
Doesn't show any service at all
Unbelievable bad and possiblya scam? The developer knows the app does not work, blames Google and refuses to refund a purchase. Quote from the developer when i asked for my refund (which google told me I had to get from the developer): "We default to Google & Apple's refund policies. We don't have control over Google pushing an OS update that broke the app. We are working to get a fix out. This takes time for our developer to get to.
Useless. Couldn't even evaluate it with the 3 trial uses they give you. The first use just locked up my phone. The standard maps are so low-res they tell you nothing on a local level.
Seem to show coverage more than app of cell towers. Unsure of accuracy.. but best one I seen to compare to. But trial test . Want u pay for app.
Completely inaccurate...zero coverage all thru 50miles of area where there should be LTE service at least. Wasted time and money driving to camping spot based on app. Don't waste yours
Appears to be nothing more then carrier coverage maps relisted. The data shown is NOT accurate at all. Deleted the app.
Coverage is completely inaccurate. I was in an area with no cell towers anywhere and it was showing that there is full LTE.
Even when you have downloaded the HD maps, the maps are really blurry unless you are connected to the internet.
Awesome app... Overlays and different map options are very nice, everything loads quick. Pretty darn accurate.
Not at all accurate, shows covered in areas where there is no cell service of any kind for both AT&T and Verizon.
Completely useless. Just shows Google maps in the interface. No coverage overlays at all.
Don't buy if your going to change phones. It becomes worthless. Correction: They got back to me and fixed it. Works great now.
Bought and paid for this app last month. I have a receipt from Google that says I paid for the app and I tried to open it this morning and it says that I need to buy the app. You took my money and then took the app away. If I can't use the app then I want my money back.
I just paid the 2.99 and it still says I'm in trail. WTH. I'll update my review when it works properly or I get my money back. This app was recommended by a YouTuber.
Easy to compare coverage maps between all the carriers while traveling the states, thanks guys!
Bad app. They want $ to look at att coverage. Uninstalling.
Works great. I check what carrier works at my destination all the time.
The maps from the carriers are much better with higher resolution.
Simple way to see what cell networks have coverage in what areas. Great for RVers!
Didn't give me any overlays and used one of my 3 free trials to tell me nothing. Don't waste your time downloading this app.
App seems like just an overlay of carrier coverage maps. No detail or levels of coverages. Just shows constant colors. Even though I know I'm in an area where the coverage is low, it shows perfect. What we need is a user friendly app that reports signals and locations from users phones to compile GPS locations coupled with actual real time user cell signal. Oh, and I'm removing this app from my phone. I'll never open it again much less give them money.
