app is ok. the service in total, including equipment and download speeds are horrid. absolute worst and most unstable internet and terrible equiptment. they charge on the spot for a technician to come in and fix their mess of a service. if spectrum ever decides to service this area, im not thinking twice about switching. if Cox is all Thats available then your kinda screwed either way.
There is a bug in the system that tells the user there was a copyright violation and won't let user reset modem. Customer service sees no violation, as it didn't actually happen. Modem can be reset via website but not with the app.
A worthless app with worthless "tech support". The internet keeps crashing and all the help I get is some fool telling me to reboot the modem. I do that before I call for help. So the app can't help and the stupid employess can't help. Once this contract is over I am trying T-Mobile. They can't be worse and are certainly cheaper!
Terrible customer service. No place to get real support. The chat function is terrible and the agent can disconnect chat at their whim. I have wasted more time over the last few weeks only to keep having the same problem. Agents really don't know how to solve anything. This is an update. We are into the same problem for 2 months now. I have had tech after tech to my home only to have the same problem. Cox keeps sending techs instead of maintenance crew for the poles.
would be nice it didn't have so many glitches when trying to stream TV shows always doing something with the cable it's getting old didn't used to be this way sometimes modern technology is not all it's cracked up to be or maybe we just need better people to fix it just a thought.
I can't stand Cox. They continuously increase my bill, while not providing any more service. If there were another cable provider in Arizona I'd be the 1st one there. Cox customer service is terrible, they are constantly making errors on my bill,I have to take time out of my day to call them, they put on hold, transfer me around to several people. It's just a horrible experience.
I spent seven phone calls to get a credit on my bill still only one error corrected still have not corrected other one or two problems. it is such a pain in the phone all the time. now I have to call again. They where going to turn my service off and they just kept saying I sent in a ticket to get the credit. charge a late charge and never credited that back. if I could go with someone else I would. I deserve some free service for sure.
In my opinion, Cox will nickel and dime a customer with fees and overcharge when can they can get away with it. Customer service is not great. They have fast internet, but it's not worth the trouble. I do not recommend.
Been having multiple outages everyday for the past 4 months. Several tech have come through connection will be fine for two days then back to the same unstable connection every hour. I know there is an issue in my area because this didnt start until late November. It getting frustrating when Im doing online work only to lose my saved progress.
Cox is Great. None of the concerns I had previously. They have worked hard on getting my Elevator in my new build home set up with a working phone line. It was difficult to get right, took about 5 different visits, with just about as many techs but I am patient and we worked it out. The Special Projects Team came out before then to setup the phone lines in the ground. All appointments were made on time with the customary call before the appointment. So Cox In 2022 is Great!
they did a complete bait and switch on our unlimited plan. we signed up for a promotion they refuse to honor. and then they have the audacity to say that promotion never existed. multiple diff techs have found and located the promotion yet they still refuse to honor the unlimited data. probally going to have to get the az consumer and the attorny general to help sort/sue this issue out for us
my account got changed to Spanish, which unfortunately I do not read or understand. cox refuses to work with me to get this fixed. they told me to go into my app and change it in settings.. which would be easy if only I read Spanish. not to mention that my bill is so astronomically expensive because the promotion I signed up with expired? I've never once heard of this at any other company. When I have another option I will 100% switch, unfortunately they're taking advantage of being only ones.
App is awesome!! Service however it feels like it's capped, Cause no matter how many your entitled to use it won't do it. I have the up 5 devices plan and can honestly only use maybe 2 with out any capped like response from there internet/wifi service!!!??
It's an effective app. I'm able to setup auto pay and view account information. It works. I think it would be even more great if we had the ability to make payment arrangements from the app or change the due date and self serve options that way we don't have the need to call customer service.
it was great at first but here lately, when I say lately I mean the last three it four months, my router has been over heating and turning off and every time I try to call COX I can never get through. I pay way to much for my internet to buffer or just plain turn it's self off. if you can fix this or just replace this two and a half year old router I'll give you five stars.
Login biometrics don't play well with Samsung pass. Most beneficial billing and account options (which require a call to a retention rep) are gated behind a phone call, so account management isn't really a thing in the app itself unless you want to spend more money. This app is mostly just pay your bill, check your account data, and check your data usage. For all else just call customer service.
company internet service is terrible in Phoenix Az. constantly has speed issues and if you don't pay for gigablast you can't get the fastest speed your able to get with their terrible infrastructure. only reason to use COX is because they are the fastest in town. customer service is atrocious.
Horrible! When I try resetting my password it's sends links that don't work it did this 10 times causing me to restart the method each time. It says I have great connection and it sees no problem with my connection yet my mode has an orange light stating no connection. I tried clicking on links that say support but it just takes me to another page that tells me about support as oppose of getting actual support. It says Oliver will help you but then there is no link to Oliver. Cox services 👎
Overpriced and unreliable service. Support and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They actually charged me for dispatching a tech who would not enter the house, I ended up finding bad connections from their installation and fixed them, yet I was billed for the repairs and COX refused to remove or reduce their bill for not doing anything.
All I've used it for is trying to find out when my service will be turned back on. It has been off since April 7th, two days AFTER THE TORNADO we experienced April 5th. Only message I ever received was there is no service in my area at this time, but Cox technicians are working to restore is asap. I can see that it is not working. I want service, or at least a date when I can expect it to be turned back on. Jerry Cooper (neighbor) has service. When is mine coming back?
Easy to use app. Payments can be made in less than a minute, you can also enroll in automatic payments, payment arrangements, and speaking to a live in chat representative without those nasty long wait times.
If I could give negative stars I would! We have the second most expensive package and our internet goes down several times a day! Extremely unreliable! If I had other options I would drop them like a hot potato. Tech support told me it was my equipment. Got all new equipment and they told me it was my equipment and needed to call the manufacturer. Your service is absolute garbage!
Everything is great, except wrestling the price for internet service. Where i live they have a monopoly as a provider, and with no other choices, i'm cornered into hoping for some kind've discount each mnth/yr to be able to afford a basic connection. Living on a fixed income/disabled, it is barely affordable. Signed up for the emergency broadband benefits program and delt the run-around for months now. Was approved, but cannot get the EBBProg and Cox to correlate and apply the discount. Annoyed
The internet regularly goes out. This causes issues from simply being kicked off while streaming to preventing the children from getting homework turned in, often having to take pictures of their work and email it to the teachers to recieve on-time credit. We often have to transition to using cell phone hotspots to get small things done done. This is a problem our neighbors have as well but since it's currently the only service in my neighborhood we are stuck until better options arrive.
I work from home as a software support technician and absolutely depend on the fast, dependable internet only Cox can provide in the Vegas valley - there are no competitors among the other providers. Only 2 brief outages over 7 years! In my current search for a new home I have two criteria at the top of my 'must have' list: pet-friendly and Cox internet availability. Still searching, if you have any leads!
It does not work well with Samsung pass. It is a chronic issue having to reset password everytime I just want to pay my bill. The speeds with gigablast are slower than my old 500mps modem. The TV loses connection once a day. Why a daily upgrade if it just makes things worse. I have been a cox customer for over 2 decades but sometimes I feel like they just do not care. Everything is always reactive rather than proactive. The costs are mind-numbing for mediocre service. Used to be better
