CP24 GO

Newest Update: Every few months, the app stops working, constantly crashes and needs to be re-downloaded. Updated: Rarely opens. Just the logo. When it does open, stories don't load. Once you reload and have stories, you will click on a story and a different one will open. Original: Video pop-up ads was a poor decision. A video ad shouldn't pop-up unless you're viewing video. The news content is ok but written for broadcast, not print/text media (as in very brief and lacking depth).

The app provides you with a selection of news stories seven days a week. Some stories remain for a while without changing but generally meets my needs and expectations. The recent update has improved the look. A daily read.

An annoying "feature" that allows right and left scrolling through different articles is too sensitive. While reading and scrolling through an article, it frequently triggers (in my usage) a scroll to the previous article. There should be a setting to adjust the sensitivity or to turn it off completely.

Good app except some of the stories stay the same for days or weeks. Sometimes when there's breaking news and I click on it, it doesn't take me to the correct story. Since the last update, I keep getting a message that there's no Internet and it takes 2 to 4 times for the app to open. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it but it's still not working correctly.

This app is so inconvenient and buggy. 90% of the time when I open it, the feeds have trouble connecting and grabbing the content. It frequently requires several refreshes until it finally connects and grabs the feeds. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE but this issue occurs in multiple devices

New to this app, not crazy about the news headlines alerts, nothing on entertainment, but love the weather details.

Does not load quickly lately. Used to work well but lately takes several tries to bring up the news. Have found that it will load quickly if wifi is turned off and use only my data.

I like this app. It is not perfect, because sometimes it gives cryptic errors about missing or bad url, and then I have to reload it. But overall it's good, does what it supposed to do and nothing more.

Its crashing very often, I always have to remove the app and re install

CP24 is my go to for fast up to date Canadian and International news. Also like the fact that it is more factual reporting than the political narratives contrived by the other media firms.

Afte installing the app every time I open it I get a notice saying something went wrong. A red bar comes up that states try again or close. After hitting try again th app opens.

Occasionally it crashes and won't open. And sometimes when you click on a story, it opens a completely different one.

They broke it again. Won't launch! This app is rapidly becoming more headache than it's worth...

Needs more news - such as world news, health, psychology etc. Also, weather app just provides basis information. Need more info on when snow will start, is barometer pressure going up etc. Replenish news stories more often.

Unfortunate update. This new update strongly mimics the CTV News app (both owned by Bell), and although is visually appealing it is lacking in previous functionality. For example, you can no longer just swipe left/right to move between news stories. Facebook integration is also gone, so to share an article you have to click on the Facebook icon which then loads it up as a webpage in Chrome to share. An unnecessary step compared to before. If it ain't broke then don't fix it!

Hate the new update. The old app was much better laid out with it's sections. Top stories, world, entertainment, sports etc. Now it seems they are all mashed up together interwoven into each other. Why not keep them in a separate section like before? Don't like the visual of the app either. The new layout is not appealing. Hope they fix it because this was my favorite app for news and stories. Very disappointed, I've used it since the beginning.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but none of the Bell Media (CP24GO, CTV GO) apps are working on WiFi, they only work on my mobile data. I used to watch live, until I realized that it was using up my monthly data, even when I had WiFi enabled at home. Just to make things clear, I upgraded my phone, and am still getting the same problem.

Nice to be able to access local news quickly. Had been using it daily. Unfortunately it's now broken! Can't access any content at all. Thanks for fixing this in v2.9.7.

Way too much running ads. It runs like tv. So I'd rather watch tv instead. Save the data. Sorry for those who has to watch on phone. But there other platforms. Why waste so much time watching ads? Update 2020.09.30 The ad issue is less severe. But the App loads up very slow. Often up to a minute and over. So my star rating remains the same.

App doesn't work at all for the past few weeks it continues show error "OOPS no internet connection detected" then it has a button to "try again" but that button doesn't work either This app stinks recently

All of the sudden I'm getting an error stating I'm not authorized to view cp24 live stream. Logged out and back in same. The update the didn't fix the live stream it brought stupid ads whenever I switch features. Fix the problem instead of focusing your efforts on making money with clickbait.

The app isn't crashing now and must be fixed. It carrys local as well as national news. Very local program 24 hours a day.

Easily to follow, trust their information, updated news, little to none promotion of political views. They cover it all.

Updates news often. One star ommited due to many spelling errors in the text

I like that I get notifications of breaking news. But it doesn't help that it takes 40 seconds just for the app to open. Then it has to load. When it loads.. You have to find what that notification was about since it doesn't go automatically to it when you select the notification to go to the app.
