CPI

The CPI mobile app demonstrates the tools and methodologies used while conducting training, and facilitating a continuous process improvement event. It is a reference resource to the many different tools, definitions, and acronyms used while performing facilitation and leading teams through the Air Force Practical Problem Solving Model to identify and eliminate waste and variation in processes. It focuses specifically on the interactive use of multiple facilitation and problem solving tools primarily identified in the CPI Playbook with the ability to input data into applicable tools and produce an output (results).
The majority of information centers on the Air Force Practical Problem Solving Model with content that includes a glossary of terms (as listed in the CPI Playbook), description and use of tools and methodologies, and information related to Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Business Process Reengineering. A comparison of the Practical Problem Solving Model, DMAIC, and PDCA is included. Detailed content thoroughly addresses the applicability and content of the USAF 8-Step A3 Certification Rubric, and interactive use of each individual step of the Practical Problem Solving Solving.

Need to be able to see the whole A3. Also need a workspace for metrics. Need to be able to export computer as well. I hope you keep moving with this tool. Has huge potential. Love the glossary.

Really great proto-type for on the fly problem solving. Great references and mini-tools make for quick root cause analysis and countermeasure development. Looking forward to when I can capture all the required documents (i.e. charter, Steps 1-8 in powerpoint format etc..) and be able to connect my device to a projector for presenting the outbrief to leadership.

Wonderful app that gives great reference guides and tools for those looking to keep up with their LEAN termonology and looking to impliment AFSO21 frameworks in their organizations. Usabale for organizations outside of the Air Force as well. Best LEAN app I have come across so far.

The fact that taxpayer dollars funded this app saddens me. It is a colossal waste of time and money on something USAF has no business involving itself in. We fight and win wars, we don't build cars in an assembly line.
