CPU Throttling Test
This app displays performance on a graph and measures maximum, minimum and average performance. After testing app will analyze data to find if and how much CPU throttling happened.
Application has built in benchmark which tests java and native C single and multi threaded performance.
CPU monitor which allows user to track core clock, temperature and usage is built in on a graph. From Android 8 (Oreo) CPU utilization tracking is disabled.
App can be used to measure if there are differences between CPUs of certain phones example: two phones use same chipset but are from different manufacturers so using this test you can determine if there are cooling differences between phones (which throttles the most)

This application has been installed and successfully utilized on several different Android devices ranging from a Galaxy S4,Note 9, and Q-link scepter 8. In addition it has been stable while experimenting with both NOX and BlueStacks Android emulators' . Instructions are easy to follow. The graphic data interpretation shows device performance percentage (100%) over time (one test allowing (5-20mins) I was able to identify and resolve several problems I had with my devices using this application
The app seems to work, but not that well. If you touch your screen or plug your phone in (which tanks performance) it'll say your phone throttled EVEN IF your phone goes right back to full performance a few seconds later and stays there for 5 minutes. I'd say it's "decent enough" if you want to see whether your phone is seriously throttling heavily.
Feedback: the app just reported different thing. I tested this on Snapdragon 860, 1 thread, only biggest core active (2956 MHz) the rest idling. It shows ~93K during testing and suddenly shows result ~116K instead.
App is good but everytime the ad on main screen is refreshed during test the score goes down drastically. I know ads is a manner of get some profit but at least it can't interfere on test results. I guess a solution would be stopping ads refresh during test at least. I'll give 5 when this is solved.
Nice app. I ran this on a P30 Pro, and with the default 20 threads, it never throttled, even after 5 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised, but then decided to run it again with 50 threads, and it throttled after about 2 minutes. So on a recent / powerful phone, you might need to increase the number of threads.
What a joke. Benchmarking/diagnostic app that doesn't pause even advertising loads during testing. So you end up with all these mysterious dips in performance from each advert clouding up the results.
Good app for testing trottle. Please put ad the point we press start or when we press stop instead of pushing ads in between.
Love the apps, one problem, the thermal sensor name, please make it look like in aida64 or something like that and not list number, it will be easier to choose if it has the sensor name
not detecting differing Cpu cluster speed on S9 series Definitely finitely need to sort that Ad pop up .. its affecting the reproducablity and im having to multiple retry to get a clean run. Workaround turn on flight mode
Great app to evaluate device consistence performance. Tried it on Realme GT Neo 2 with Max 363GIPs, Avg 334GIPs and Min 318GIPs running at 100 threads and 10 mins which throttled at 95%
Really very good app. I have tested it on my Realme c21. The phone has MEDIATEK HELIO G35 chip. About decent performance. It has helped me to do this👍💖
The only thing i want is that we can set a timer of hours for this app to keep runing and make it that it can run with the phone locked or the screen off, and offer results or stats more detailed.
Ads pop up during the test and cause it to say your cpu is throttled. Using dns to block ads and the app says no throttling. Remove the ads or the app is useless.
This App make my phone that kuch heat that I can fry even egg on it... Really because, this app endurance your phone to take test of limit.... Beware, it can damage your phone and you pocket can get less bulky....THANK YOU.....!
This app is good but one problem. When I on Data and proforma test I saw many girl ads so removed girls adds . This adds harm kids. So fix this problem soon.
Enjoy the test possibly you should change the default from 15 minutes to maybe 6. 15 minutes is quite a strain on phones batteries Etc... Thank you for the app:-)
What type of instruction (instructions per second) are you giving the CPU in throttling test? Is it an integer or a float or something else? What language are those parts of the code written with? The same as benchmark test? You should add the details about these inside the app & in play store app details. Number of threads should be shown in performance window as it can customized.
Very good app. Does what it says it does and helped me find the cooling issues with my Android TV Box.
Man, I want know something, what exactly the number of threads do? Because if i change it to a higher value, I get a higher score. And why it just not come with the higher value per default?
I actually came to know that this app works for specific devices! Not every device it will show the truth
Works as expected , i always use this tool to test how good a phone will be while gamming for long periods of time.
Easy to use app to determine if your device is throttling but it would be better if it had GPU stress test as well.
The only thing that is missing now is a GPU throttling test.
your apps didn't work properly on miui 13 with game turbo on or off
even though the app says its not a benchmark, its a pretty good option to test performance gaps between devices

Very bad app. I tried it three times but it shows different scores🤣 First 165K Second 120K third 145K🤣🤣
Having a dynamic ad on the middle of the screen doesn't help while running the test. On a 10 min run, EVERY deep on the graph was due to the ad being refreshed, changing, or literally, running a video on that small area. The result (CPU throttle to 75% of it's maximum performance) was not accurate, due to the ad. If the ad was a static one, that didn't change at all during the test, it would be perfectly fine. In the end, it is a really good app, with an amazing idea, but it accuracy and consistency is still off, mostly due to the ad. I'm waiting to see more improvements made on this app, after all, it has a lot of potential. By the way, I'm using a blackview BV9000-F (android Oreo, mediatek mt6757 CPU, non-rooted), so the thermal sensors doesn't work at all, but that was expected.
