CRAFTSMAN myQ Garage Access

It works but it is clunky. Too many keystrokes to open or close the garage door. While Google Assistant can close the door, It cannot open it; and Google Home cannot do anything. This app needs lifestyle.

If anything happens and your app gets disconnected tofrom the wifi GOODLUCK! Im not sure why it unhooked from my wifi after being hooked to it for months with no problems and then it took me SIXTEEN days to get it to finally connect. Im not happy with this app.

It works, lots of bells and whistles that I don't use but I suppose some people do. But I can't believe there's no dark/night theme setting. Pulling into my long dark driveway with rocks on either side, my eyes adjusted to the dark. i certainly love to have your a bright white app come up. I don't understand why you don't have a dark theme, pretty much every other app does.

Now working the way it should after many updates. Only the door alert has been lengthen to as much as 10 minutes. It used to be seconds before.

Secure, durable and being able to open/close and see if the garage door had been left open from your phone is definitely a plus.

Great app, easy to use and extremely convenient. No idea how people don't have this app to manage garage and timing...how long opened or closed.

It's ok not as good as the old app when Sears(Craftsman) ran it. It's not as sensitive when trying to open and close. You have to repeatedly tap the open/close button because of this. I've called several times to suggest they tweak it but no fix for now. Also they need to implement a dark theme like the old app. The old app was just smoother overall.

Edited from 1 to 3 stars: Turns out the previous homeowner's wifi settings were still in the garage door opener, and it was buried in the manual that those needed to be cleared to input new wifi settings. It still took 3 tries to reset the old settings. Once cleared out, it still took 3 tries to connect to my 5 bars of internet, and now it is working just fine, but there's gotta be a simpler way implement.

I wish they had 'shortcut' for open/close garage. Having to open app and wait to load it and then two more taps to open the garage door. Not user friendly.

I have not had success yet with Google assistant working with it. Otherwise very easy app, once you figure it out. A little bit of a notification lag on push message, but the app directly is on the money. The best part is that it informs "how long" the door has been opened or closed. Makes it easier than just what time it closed. So leave that alone, no improvements please.

I love this app. I always worry about not shutting the garage door when I get 10 seconds down the road. Great peace of mind knowing now.

It's nice to be able to open the garage door without using the old push button remote, when the battery got low you almost had to drive through the garage door before it would open. That's all changed now that it's on my cell phone. This new craftsman door opener is the best I've ever had it's super quiet belt driven and the cats don't even know that I'm coming home anymore!

I had to upgrade to this. If you have the older hardware the Assurelink module it does work. I had to create a new account but able to still use my original email. Then I had to do a hard reset on the assure link module. Disconnect it and reconnect ac adapter but press down on reset button with paper clip at same time. Then enter the module info into app located at bottom. I had to go to the ceiling unit and unplug it to reset that too. Follow app inst to program phone as opener.

I finally figured it out. If you are having trouble connecting after using old app, What I had to do is Erase all remotes, keyless, and smart control devices. Then press wall control panel until garage door opens. THEN setup app, which is hard because I had to go on the control panel go to program, then wi-fi setup, then on my phone connect to the garage doors wifi (CMWIFI) then turn off wifi, open app and log in using mobile data, then add device, turn on wifi back on then follow the steps.

Not impressed really, internet gateway for the garage door never did work properly. Of course even though EVERYTHING else in the house connects just fine, they insist it's a network or router issue. Some third party troubleshooting sites just say.... "Check router and internet settings".... Um, for what exactly? This device is the only thing in the house not working, don't think the network is the problem. Thing is cabled right into the router, green light just blinks, total junk

I couldn't migrate from AssureLink because that app wouldn't connect anymore. So I downloaded MyQ app and made a new account with all my old info. I couldn't get my door to link - it would say "registered to another user". Tech support linked me to the 'MyQ error 310' code page and I followed the hard reset procedure for my WiFi opener. Once I did that, the door linked to the app on the first try. The door has worked flawlessly since. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars now is because the app NEEDS a dark mode. The interface looks exactly like what you see in the pictures above

Has ANYONE been able to get this App to work. I'm about to send back the unit as it's not supported by App. Until the App comes up I can't get it to work with my home security system. It looks like on November 2, 2019 someone got some kind of tech support but it's not clear what phone number or who they called.

I've spent a full day trying to get the app to work. I had others try to see if it would work for them, no success with that. Standing on a ladder is not fun at all for a long time. The app needs a lot of work. I also tried the other app( myQ) it's the same app with a different name. What a waist of time trying to get them to work. WiFi access to my garage was the one thing that I was looking forward to use with the Craftsman garage door opener. Think twice before purchasing this brand.

The setup for this app is not user friendly and support just keeps telling me to clear everything out and start over. My opener connected to my wifi network but the app didn't show the device. I tried to add it manually and received an error message because it was already on the account because I was using the MyQ website before they shut it down.

They seem to have deleted the push notifications from the old version of this app. The original Craftsman Garage Door app from 5 years ago worked much better than this updated junk app. Update 7/9/2020. The push notifications have been fixed. The app again functions fine for my purposes.

In order to get it to work with Craftsman AssureLink internet gateway, have to start by doing a hard reset if it was connected to the old app. Then continue with adding the gateway device and then the garage door. However, took quite a while to figure out how to add more garage doors.

I have never before left a review for anything, but this is so frustrating there is a first time for everything. For six years my Craftsman AssureLink gateway opened my garage doors flawlessly. No longer. I have dowloaded this app and others that seem related and cannot get any of them to work. I got so far with one as to enter my AssureLink serial number but it tells me it is registered to another user, even though I logged in with my original username and password with no problem. Very, very frustrating.

It works, but disappointed it doesn't link directly with Alexa. Also it doesn't consistently send me email notifications. If I contact support email will start coming in, but within a month it stops. I do get app notifications though.

Updated version remove my Garage and locked me out. When I went to open my Garage it said there is no device, everyone in the house app wasn't working and no one had keys to the front door because we get so reliant on this app to open the garage and the keypad isn't working properly. After about 1/2 hr of trying the keypad it finally worked. I am very disappointed that they wld just remove the device with no warning

Had a lot of trouble getting my opener and this app reconnected after the craftsman app was removed. I found out via a youtube video that the opener button "lifts up" and the smart connect button is under there and made all the difference in the world. Now this app works again and like a charm.

Connected the first garage door fine second door won't connect no matter what I do. I even put a wifi repeater in the garage so it had full signal and still won't connect. These were brand new installs and at 250 an opener they should work correctly. Highly disappointed 😞

I was forced to migrate to this new version and I can't set it up. When I enter my devices serial number it says the device already exists in the system. I tried creating a new account and still can't connect the gateway bridge. I'm so disappointed.

I have an opener which I purchased from Sears it had an app that did work fine but when they closed, they closed the app. Thankfully, this app works perfectly with my opener. If you have a sears brand opener, this is the app you need! Give it a try! It is very clear and works flawlessly.

Great garage door and love the open and closure status messages it sends to my phone. It's also nice and quiet when it opens and closes as well as the sensor that turns on the light automatically when you go into the garage at night!

Can't log in to the app because the verification email after signing up directs me to a link saying to download the app because the web login is no longer supported. You should probably have a way to let new users sign up if they don't already have a profile. Terrible business practice.
