Craftsmith - Idle Crafting Game

I tried this again to see if some bugs were fixed and they weren't. After you get to level 50 things stop working. Progress is lost, you can't click to see an ad to speed things up and the 2nd portion of the game that opens up apparently resumes the progress of someone. Just broken now and it's a shame as it had potential.

This game is honestly really good. Great idle game, with decent mechanics and a pretty good curve. Honestly, for what kind of game it is, I would have gone with 5 stars. Two problems, though. Offline progression only works if you close the app entirely - it doesn't work at all if it's running in the background. The deal breaker is that you loose progress some times. I've seen this happen with offline progression if I did t close the app and with swithing between wood and stone. A pity.

Overall enjoyable game with some bugs. I was playing yesterday and had my wood factory in the 170s, almost 180, today when i started up i was down to 150s and lost a huge chunk of progress and it changed my talent investment went from over 700% to 400 something. I had the full upgrade of extension grabber but now I'm at nothing on it.

Idle or active. It'll run just fine while you're not playing or you can tap to speed up. Played a few idle games and I like this one, it's not throwing IAP in your face and you can progress at a steady rate. I love the aesthetic, hopefully there's more to come! I have some issues with the smaller tap controls on my phone but on my tablet it is no issue.

Downgrading my review from 5 to 2 stars. When things work, it is an excellent game - one of my favorite idle games! However, recently the game began hanging on initial load, stuck at 100%. The longest I waited before giving up was five minutes. I'd never had that problem before. When I tried network fixes - turning on and off wifi, for example - I was greeted with all my data being gone when the game did load. I restarted, taking it in stride... Twice. Then I uninstalled.

Game randomly lost all of my progress (years) and there is no way to regain said progress. Other than that: Great game with a lot to do. There is an in game currency called coins you can purchase with real money that's used for buying some of the upgrades, but it's extremely easy to get without actually paying for it by completing goals. And every time you reset, the goals reset as well, allowing you to get more coins.

The amount of hand dragging that happens right from the start is infuriating. I can't even get to the options menu first before the tutorial old man demands that "I can do this", and that I can't do anything else until the old man is pleased. I have played many games like this and can figure out things like this myself without the tutorial, but there is no option to turn it off here. The way that this game handles tutorials is bad and my feedback is to change this. The music is not very good.

3 stars. There are several factors here. First I want to say, if you have a life where time isn't constantly a commodity this is a great game for you. My issues lie in the tutorial, and the "idle" portion. Tutorial should cover more than the bare basics to start with. You need to make sure the player understands what is going on. The idle portion of the game leaves you limited. You can only build up so much before being idle is wasted. Not unlimited but perhaps higher storage totals.

I've been hooked for a couple days now, I really like the rate of progression so far. My only complaint is the quests that want you to collect coins or diamonds from goals. It's a little unreasonable in early/mid game to collect 5 diamonds for a single quest. I am aware that there is a skip button but it is sad that I have to use it every time they pop up, you know? Great stuff otherwise!

In my experience with mobile games, this game takes #1 easily. I prefer idle games with ability to prestige and this allows you to at any level, which is awesome. Also, once you reach level 50 (if you choose to) you unlock another gameplay within this, doing basically the same thing with different materials that take a little longer. They prestige differently so you can be level 40 in one and 30 in the other, or vise versa. Best game overall, I highly recommend and enjoy it.

Over-all: Fun, but not spectacular. Pros: Does all the things games in the genre do, BUT does them smoothly and no annoying ads or aggressive micro transaction tactics. It's above average in every category, by just a bit. Cons: I'm a bit irked by the file size, tho... The Google Play page says 30MB, but it takes 90MB+ on my phone. Unlike many other games, this one CAN be moved to a memory card, tho, so no big deal. EDIT: Another pro, the devs are very responsive!

Simple time waster. I'm actually enjoying it. There's just a bug I think in the blacksmithing area and I couldn't reset the game mode. It just resets the ores that I have to 0 instead of resetting entirely and allowing me to purchase the power ups gained through resets. Please check and fix. Everything looks fine in the wood working mode. Edit: fixed and everything's good.

I really enjoy the game play. Its smooth and ad watching is the players choice. I hate when games force you into watching ads. This one allows the player to choose. I would really love to see a third level of play. Thank you for a relaxing game! Possibly something to do with cloth. I do also of medieval reenactment and while stone and wood is great, (mind you I have only gotten to lvl 100ish) but maybe steel and cloth as well. (Thank you for reading my review!)

The update has resolved the issue, thank you. Now a true review. The game allows you watch ads if you want, not forces you like a lot of other games. My phone may not be strong enough to handle constant progress bars, but modern phones, shouldn't have an issue. Bear in mind, it's an idle game, but it does progress faster with input from watching ads and tapping. I enjoy the simplicity with lots of options as we progress. Great time killer.

The games great! I would say I would not change a thing on this very well thought out game... but in regards to game play and quests, I would like to suggest some color changes for the quest needs. The blue writing on a dark background is very difficult to read the needs. So far I have gotten to level 100 and the game runs flawlessly! Thank you so very much for this idle game its very addictive!

I really enjoy this game, it's much more interesting than other idle clickers, but I keep having problems with my progress being saved. For example, the wood one keeps losing my progress (a lot of the items I unlock become locked) and the ore one keeps increasing my progress (items I haven't unlocked become unlocked). I'm not sure if the problem could be with my tablet, with my save data having problems, or the game.

One of the best mobile idle games I've played. It was similar to some of my favorite computer idle games from my childhood. Progression is based on prestiging and it's not the kind of game where you have to buy to progress. Also, this game has almost NO ADS!!! Only if you want a boost do you watch an ad. It's not like every other mobile game where it is 50% ads. 10/10 developers

Overall seems like a pretty fun game. Found a few bugs so far and have suggestions, but the developer was very prompt in a response and getting a fix out. Some of the mechanics aren't too clear until after you've already tried them, but so far nothing has been overly obtuse. Definitely like all the different permanent progressions.

This is an interesting game but it gets boring quite quickly and at first you feel like you are managing many resources but that's not the case when everything is unlocked. The Good: good idle concept, can speed up production with tapping on any resource The bad: battery drain (had app open for a minute and lost 3%), gets boring quickly. I like the uniqueness of it but unfortunately I don't have much to entertain me late game.

I wish there was an option to pay to remove any ads and claim rewards. Otherwise it's a great little incremental game that can be played for free if you're willing to put work into to earning 1 coin at a time and at a slow rate. Fortunately the coins aren't important in the beginning and if you like the game you may buy some! For me, I just want to pay to get ad rewards without watching ads.🙏

I have been trying to find a way to reset my data on this game for over a year. I check back every month or so to see if theres a new way for me to reset my account but for some reason there isnt one. I really want to play this game but I have no intention of doing so until I can reset it. UPDATE - I tried your suggestion and it still didnt work

Would like some more details on the quests (perhaps with a long press). Sometimes the requirements are hard to see/ distinguish. Would like to see a late game third tier that depends on the first two (perhaps more castle related items like wagons, portcullis e.t.c ) maybe some expensive late- game tools like auto-purchasers to assist with resets. Otherwise, this is a great idle game overall...

Really enjoy it! Lots of fun, almost no ads unless you want it for rewards, really solid time killer while waiting. My only complaint is sometimes it acts up, like when I open an upgrade screen and half of my available items just dont show up. Really only happens when you've been playing without resetting for about 2 days

There is a really good idle game here and I like it. The ads are not not forced and the rewards feel worth watching them; however, the game feels like one great big ad mechine. Here is what I do. Open game watch ad for double exp while away. Watch ad to earn double exp for 4 hrs. Pick new research that takes time. I then watch 2 to 3 ads to reduce that time. I then decide if I want to upgrade resources, stock pile or start a new run. THEN AGAIN FOR BLACKSMITHING! I do this multiple times a day!

Killed time for a while. Didn't play for several months, let me do stuff to metal workshop, when I went to wood workshop, game froze, all my data was gone when I started it again. Losing everything was kinda the final straw. There was nothing more to do when I quit, nothing to work for. Just endless prestiges for no reason. I was hoping more content got added, but instead lost all my data. I understand coding, it's just frustrating. My rating is based only on lack of content, not data loss

A decent idle game, the kind you push yourself as far as you can and prestige to get special currency to speed up and reward more. Ran into some problems about a week in, and used the FB messenger to communicate with the dev easily. I gave feedback on multiple patches until the issues were resolved! Great support! Only thing it's missing is Google Play login so you're account isn't lost between devices or after a reinstall. Definitely worth a try if you like this style of game. Good job.

Rubbish. Installed and removed in under 30 minutes. I installed and completed the confusing tutorial, played for a couple of minutes to figure it out. The wife called so I shut the app. When I went back to it I had been away for 11 mins and was asked if I wanted to watch an ad to double my offline gains. Couldn't press the X button, couldn't press the NO button leaving only the YES. Funnily this button worked. Watched the ad and had the same pop up again. Not watching anymore so Uninstalled.

I play the game over 2 months now and I really enjoy it. Overall great experience except the tutorial thing that you cant avoid. I just dont know if I'm gonna be able to complete all the upgrades in the exp panel before I get bored thought, there so many with gems and we get few of them and the last upgrades doesnt point how to unlock them. I will review again if my concerns are wrong.

Definitetely a progress bar type idle game. However, every part of the game is designed to feel rewarding. If you are actively playing, your actions increase their effects to reduce tedium. If you idle, things level up to increase idle speed. Also, possibly the only idle game where ads and microtransactions really are optional.
