Very tricky to set up WIFI, bad directions but does work if done right. The directions in the paper manual are not 100% accurate, the directions on the Google Play app are not good either. You do not just turn the heater on and hold the up arrow for 3 seconds. You need to press the menu button and go over to the WIFI setting, THEN press the up arrow to get to the "SET" mode. Then you should see the Cranewifi_xxxx, then quickly go back to the app, touch the refresh button. It should hook up.

App schedule can't be set. Had to contact support 5 times for them to tell me it's a known issue. Had to email again to ask how long it was known and when it will be corrected. "Patrick" told me it's only been known since 11/30/18 but they don't know when it will be fixed. These reviews seem to show the issues been around since the app was created. What a waste.

Will never connect fully to my device. I'll read it one minute then refuse to control my device. The next minute it will lose memory of my device then refuse to even connect to it. The entire time I lose control of temperature control settings on my device. It will go to high and to low, on and off, and wifi settings that's it. Original functionality was ruined the minute it connected the first time. Total bs

True, instructions are terrible and it's unnecessarily painful to set up. The instructions tell you to merely hold the up arrow till blinking but not that "SET" must be displayed in order to get the Crane WIFI visible in your phone's networks list. Yes, it had to be set to SET to get the wifi connected. After that, the app actually works ok.

Wow what a great app! Installed it and made an account. Then try to add device and all I get is a white screen with the crane title up top. Super! The up button on the device itself won't make the temp go up after pushing it multiple times so I thought the app could help but it turns out to be useless. Uninstalling took less time than anything else. 5 rocks out of 5

Absolute awful app. WiFi doesn't remain connected to the purifier consistently and the purifier does not auto reconnect which in turn the app then loses schedule preference why who knows no idea why those two things would be connected. Terrible to connect to WiFi in the first place too. Just all around terrible.

Trying to set up Wi-Fi capability and after syncing with heater it still doesn't work. A message that says "Restarting device now" pops up but nothing happens. I've tried setting it up 3 or 4 times now

One of the worst apps I've stumbled upon and I've been using Android since the HTC dream. Unlike others I was able to get the app and device to sync without the help of support but this is sub amatuer level at best. My email starts with a number, invalid will not work in their system. Password rules so strict I could determine your password because all the rules of what you can't have. Zero instructions on how to setup. The heater looks good, the software stack and infrastructure is a joke.

very frustrating, the app does not work at all. i have tried to add the device more then 5 times and its not connecting. i called customer service and they told me that they have stopped updating the app because they cant keep up with phone updates. Why would any company release an app if they cant keep up with updates ?! i don't know if i will be keeping this product.

It will not let me log in even after confirmation and getting login info from thier login response. Keeps saying oh no your login is incorrect. Tried 2 different logins with 2 different emails. I think this app has been abandoned by it's developers

Avoid this app! Was unable to connect my phone to my humidifier. Was the only reason I purchased this. Will be returning and going with an established and reputable brand instead.

Somehow worse than even most bank apps. I signed up but it won't log me in. When I hit the forgot password button it sends my username AND PASSWORD to my email in PLAIN TEXT. Some top tier coding right here.

Like so many others have noted this app is useless garbage. Registered through website but could not login from phone. When tapping on device button app goes to settings and info.

We recently bought Smart Crane Heater. Took us a whille to connect it to the app. We love the fact that we can control the heater from anywhere. Very happy with product and app.

I purchased the humidifier. Set up my email password but the app will not accept my info. I uninstalled it.

This app is completely useless. It doesn't ever load the screen to connect the unit.

Don’t waste your time! I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked! Try it if you want, but if you get it to work please post it out somewhere!
