Amazing game... everything from the crafting, the writing, and the combat. Wish there were more devs like this that put a full game experience out there. No microtransactions, no greed... just a fun game. Will definitely be checking out their other games.
Love the game but ever since moving to a phone curved edges it's pretty difficult to play as the buttons do not work correctly with the display edges. Maybe will play more if this gets fixed!
It's a pretty fun game even though it's quite difficult and grindy. But the gamepad controls needs fixing / more work. I'm completely unable to use the items mapped to X and Y because they're mapped to start and something else that freezes the game, and there is no option to remap the buttons at all. Playing with the touchscreen is actually worse because it's so much harder to dodge and move exactly how you want. Would have been five stars if not for the issues with both control options.
I don't normally review apps, but this game really captivated me and kept me playing for almost four hours my first time trying it out. The art style is unique and adorable, the dialogue between the characters made me laugh out loud multiple times, and it doesn't feel overly hand holding while also being informative with feeding you bits of helpful tools as you progress. The story is interesting, and the gameplay can be unforgiving if you don't equip yourself with the proper gear for a mission.
Story and humor are good. Fresh to see a survival game to admit that inventory management is an outdated design crutch. Very casual and light take on the genre, which fits mobile platform well. Stays interesting and not too grindy for majority of duration of gameplay. My only problem with this game is map being too big for little variety it has. You roam same 3 biomes killing same 5 monsters for hours, so there's little to explore outside of quests. I got bored upon reaching second boss.
I had this game once before and took a spin all the way through the story. It was a long arduous adventure, which can be good when done correctly, and was! The constant need for resources is what shapes the experience. In other games you always have a surplus, ruining the point. And the combat is skill based with tools and techniques rather than a dps contest with abilities and "skills". I'd ramble about how I love the art but I'm running out of characters. Fantastic game, much love JC
Love this game! Only started playing yesterday and I love it. It's adventure, hunting, crafting, building your home's and the endless bag space means you're not constantly having to go back and forth emptying bags. Taking on the bugs took a little time to get used to. But not impossible. I am playing on the easiest level solely because I want to get use to how things works before I try it on the next difficulty. Definitely an addictive time waster!
Would like the option of having a mini-map on a corner of the screen during gameplay. Other than that, this game is fun and addicting. One problem I have is that my character wants to move northeast all by itself sometimes. I usually have to stop the app and go back in, and it's fine. Usually occurs more frequently if I am locking my phone in the middle of gameplay.
One of my favourite games of all time, created by an incredible development team. Buy it, play it, play it again, thank me later. One small suggestions I would have would be to enable a fully multiplayer function, where a group of people could all play from different devices. Don't know how logistical that is, but I would love to see it happen.
The game had a slow pace at the start and it did get boring at times but once I got used with the crafting system and once I started crafting better equipment, I started enjoying the game more. The crafting is quite addicting although you do need to grind at times to get the needed materials. The touchscreen controls are great although I do find my fingers covering a crucial parts of the screen at times. The enemies are challenging but fair. Definitely worth the purchase!
If it wasn't a tap and go control scheme I would've been all over it but unfortunately I have a thing for controlling my protagonists in-game but you still get 5 stars because it's well made and more accessible because of the tap and go controls so it's definitely worth a try if you like that control type or even if you can deal with those controls. I wish I could as I would've liked to have seen where the story went.
Amazing game, no downside It's more like a game you would play on a PC or playstation than a phone, but works great on the phone. No waiting. No adverts. No having to buy things to move forward. Interesting adventure, kinda like minecraft but better as you follow a story. Regenerate easily when you die. Map helps you get back to your body and there are teleports all over to save hours or wandering. If you could define what would make the perfect game, this is it!
One of the best building games I've played on a mobile device. The controls are great compared to similar games, and the story is pretty funny. The graphics, rewards, and writing are also better than most games. The only downside is on some of the quests you may forget what you were doing originally, and the conversation before hand may not be that helpful in remembering where you need to go.
Crashlands as a whole is a compkete success on the platform that is the mobile phone. Before I delve into to the high points of the game, let me say thank you to the developers for making an enjoyable, deep, and cost-friendly game. As far as the gameplay goes, Crashlands has smooth touch interaction to battle foes and gather materials needed. Gear and items are progressively revealed at a satisfying pace, and the dialogue is clever and entertaining. Overall 4. (Add XP system for base health!)+1*
It's a great game. A fantastic and fun game. However, when you have a game halting bug and can't go on to the next "world" or whatever (the Bawg), then it isn't fun. Fatal error in the game prevents me from continuing on in the game I paid for and the best I can get for support is to post on their forum and pray someone answers. From what I've seen it's mostly "thanks for your feedback / make sure your save game is uploaded into the cloud so we can look into it". No real solution unfortunately.
I personally like this game slot. Graphics are ok. Crafting is awesome. Storyline is fun. The world itself looks very linear. There's nothing to discover which is disappointing. Everything looks the same and it's a huge map. The other thing I really hate about this game are the control's. It's horrible. Could be easily a 5 star game with some updates
Simply fantastic! Crashlands draws you into it's world with an endearing storyline, that never ceases to delight with comical and pithy writing. The controls are intuitive and functional. The world, creature, and item design are beautiful - a pleasure to experience. It was enough content to keep me busy in my idle time for a few weeks. The game ports well between a variety of platforms. I primarily played this on my galaxy s9+ and had no trouble with gameplay throughout.
I do enjoy this game and I consider it to be pretty expansive. Unfortunately the bugs make it very difficult to play. After losing pet after pet I am now losing items. I've restarted the story twice and unfortunately due to how expansive it is; it's not worth repeatedly restarting. I will be watching for bug fixes in the future.
Was a little mad for a while kept loosing my data but the issue was finally solved now i can go back to enjoying the game again which i really missed, its a great game that i get lost in for hours at a time. I highly recommend this game especially if you like Skyrim or fallout.
