Crisis Response Volunteer

Survival Instincts in Chennai is preparing its first battalion of 1000 Crisis Response Volunteers (CRV) , to prevent another tragedy with loss of lives like the Chennai floods .Our experience has taught us that, in the first 0-72 hours when maximum deaths occur in any locality due to any natural calamity, it is not the fire force, the 108, the police, the NDRF, the army, the navy or the air force that reaches there the quickest to help.It is the common man, who lives in the locality, knows its terrain well, and is already on scene having survived the disaster, and has the tools, skills and knowledge to save his neighbors lives. Survival Instincts call such citizens CRVs
- and we provide them the tools, training and exercises to help them save maximum number of lives during those critical 72 hours, before other professional agencies arrive to help. So, if you see a CRV on the street as a part of any exercise or training
- please congratulate them on their dedication to public service, encourage them, and give them all the support you can provide. The shield badges of the various CRVs from Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Incident Commandor, Chapter Director and National Director General has been displayed in this picture for your easy identification and recognition.
