Finally, they added the dark mode 😀 It was the final touch needed to make this application absolutely perfect. Forget MyFitnessPal, if you want accuracy and useful features, use this one instead. I have been using it it for more than a year, only adding NCDB sourced food items to my diary (i.e. scientifically accurate data on 77 nutrients for each item) and I couldn't think of a more useful tool to seriously take care of one's health.

It's a brilliant app overall but since the last update, it's become very slow to start, it keeps crashing, especially when I'm trying to add new food after scanning an items bar code. I've got the Gold membership and till recently have been very happy. I've cleared the cache, phone junk files etc. I'm not quite sure what else to do.

I love Cronometer. I tried Lifesum first, but you can't connect Lifesum to Garmin directly, so I switched to Cronometer. This started because I wanted to lose a few pounds, but it's a dietary revelation. I generally eat healthy, but had no idea how protein deficient I was. Cronometer has given me the tools to really take charge of my nutrient intake. The ads are few and unobtrusive. You get so much functionality for free. Customer service is also amazing. 10/10 the best nutrition app!

A 2 month-user, here. LOVE! It can be simple or detailed. I chose free w/ads and no monthly subscritpion. The reason for 4 stars is that today I had issues with it opening and staying open. After a few attempts to turning phone on/off and uninstall/reinstall, I disconnected the sync with Google Fit. And discovered the web version. So now it seems to work w/o sync and have another option to view and plan foods. I used to be a MFP person. I count carbs and fiber grams. I like it!!

Used to love this app but now it's slow and the barcode scanner doesn't even work right because my camera's focus becomes locked and is too blurry. Honestly pretty annoying to use now, and some items are straight up wrong with their nutritional info (as in I'm comparing them to a package in front of me and they're off by a lot). Probably will stick to a spreadsheet out of frustration.

Cronometer is easy to use and has a ton of macros. Great to control food intake. It is not as easy as others app though. Does not have options to repeat your last breakfast for example and sometimes does not show all your recipes. Overall great. Editing: learned how to use the copy function, it allows to copy previous meals. Adding a star.

I found a fun detail in this app! Let's say you did your usual smoothie, but with 0 bananas when the recipe calls for 2. You can still add the smoothie to your journal with the recipe shortcut, and then add "-2 medium bananas", to balance the stats! That surprised me, I really expected the app to disallow negative bananas. Turns out the recipe database actually includes accurate nutrient profiles for some other negative foods too, try searching for reverse sear, antipasto or upside down cake.

I have had the gold plan for 2 years. I was very satisfied until January 2022 when my system has gotten so slow to respond that it is impractical to use.. I have contacted service several times with no help and not even responding to me.. no help.. at all and while I had signed up under my old email address, they had my current one attached. No responce on either address. The web site works, but cumbersome. The free version works on another email address but I hate to lose all the info I have

Great app offers more than the bare minimum in the free version. Great for calculating calories and macros to make sure you are in a deficit and have enough protein to maintain muscle mass. I used to try to get in shape the old hard way chicken broccoli and rice. Now I have a flexible diet with low calorie dense foods making staying in shape year round less of a chore it's a game changer especially if you are older and fitness isn't your 9 to 5.

A genuinely valuable app, the only one I know of which breaks out micro-nutrients (e.g., individual amino acids) and not just carbohydrates, protein, and fat. (That's vital for vegetarians, and potentially useful fbr anyone.) And it's easy to add your own recipes when you want to augment the huge database of foods it already knows.

Great app. Helps me get to grips with how much I eat... and thw quality of what I eat in terms of nutrients. It is labor intense to enter everything if your diet is varied like mine so I may only spend a few weeks on it every now and then and then I make adjustments to my diet - cutting out big breakfast or swapping out snacks, or adding more excercise, to maintain weight or lose. I have it linked to Fitbit and the app for my smart scale. So there is no hiding...

I had been paying for the premium version of Carb Manager for over a year when I discovered that Cronometer includes features in their free version that Carb Manager requires you to pay for. This app is quite comprehensive, easy to use, and more detailed than Carb Manager. Entering my own recipes or editing incorrect nutrition facts has also been much easier. If you carb cycle the paid version is also worth it.

the app has become terribly slow with the latest updates. Doesn't matter if whole app is deinstalled and installed again, or used with newer smartphones, it takes forever to search, open the nav. menus, the calendar.. otherwise very complete and useful

I'm not able to change the nutrition scores in the settings. When I select one from the list and go back, the entry for the newly selected item is blank and if I click on it again, nothing is selected in the main list. If I close the app and go back to the settings, the old one is still selected.

I really want to love the gold version but it's not registering that it was paid through Google Play. Google Play support says it's on Cronometer's side but I can't get any actual support replies to my several emails beyond a auto-reply. The free version is great so far but I really want access to the gold version that I have paid for.

I've been using Cronometer for over 5 years now, and love it. It's leaps and bounds better than My Fitness Pal, partly because of the fact that all of the entries are verified. I recommend it to all of my personal training and nutrition clients, and they all love it too!

M. P. May 7, 2022

Excellent. It counts micronutrients unlike myfitnesspal. There is a free version which does most things. But I wish you could buy the app once instead of pay a monthly/annual subscription fee.

I felt like it was close to being worth the switch but the WearOS app doesn't have a watch tile and it doesn't sync calories to Samsung health. So there's no quick way to see my calories on my watch without actually manually opening the app on the watch, unlike the app I'm using now. App looks pretty despite the logo. Nutritional breakdown is neat for the foods it's available for, but since it's not on everything you can't really be sure about it. Overall probably good for most people but not me

not intuitive. difficult to navigate to make changes-if not impossible. i have not yet found where i can change my macro settings and cal settings. no instructions on how to navigate and how to adjust settings. very frustrating to use...so I don't really use it. do not recommend
