CrontoSign Swiss
How it works:The login and transaction data that you enter in your e-banking are encoded in a colored mosaic. The mosaic is displayed in your e-banking and then photographed using the camera in your smartphone. The data contained in the mosaic and the associated authorization code will be decoded by this app on your phone and displayed for verification. Because your app is activated with a personal key, the mosaic on the screen can be decrypted only by your smartphone. Your smartphone does not require any Internet or mobile network connection.If needed, CrontoSign Swiss can be installed on multiple smartphones and can also be used with all banks that support CrontoSign Swiss.

very bad does not work at all. I should scan the sign but after 20 times and half an hour spent trying to scan the sign to activate this app, I give up. not userfriendly AT ALL!!!
Despite I own a standard mobile phone (android 7.1.1: nothing brand new or obsolete ), I cannot activate my device because ' it isn't recognised'. Therefore I have to use the device of my partner... congrats for the security...
It does not work, always a mess when trying to sign up, and never reads the QR code.. what a waste of time. It's a shame that banks are workung with it
Terrible app. Once deleted and reinstalled it doesn't work and make you turn in circle and call your bank...

won't allow to log in, no matter what what I do. even with phone call help. I HATE IT!!! WHY DID YOU CHANGE LOGIN WITH SMS MESSAGE WHERE IT HAD NEVER FELT!?

This does what it is supposed to. It is *not* Open Source, so no way to check how it works and evaluate the actual security.
App does not do what it should do if access to contacts is denied.

Why does this application need to pass phone calls to function? I am considering changing banks so that I don't have to use this broken application.

Needs continuous reactivation. Calling the bank, they tell you to reactivate with original letter. Of course it happens when you are in another country and have an urgent need to access the account. Let the user solve the problems!! Who programs and operates (banks) such apps does not care at all about their clients. Shameless. Update 17.08.2020: big improvement in need to reactivate. Changing from one to 3 stars.

Why does it need to manage and make phone calls ?
The clunkiest login system ever conceived. "Keep this letter to activate another device at any time" says the activation letter. Except that you need to use an old activated device to register a new one. Hopeless if the phone breaks. Enough to convince me to change banks.
