CrookCatcher - Anti Theft

I have the free version of this app and given my results i have not been convinced to purchase the full version, let alone keep the free version. After a few days of testing I have determined that this app works less than 10% of the time. I have intentionally and unintentionally entered the incorrect authentication and the app only responded a few times. I have changed the settings and configurations in order to hopefully get better results however it rarely works as advertised.

I paid for the premium version but, so disappointed due to the following experiences:- The application is having some defects. It doesn't start automatically after a reboot/restart of the phone, hence all permissions are granted. The App becomes active only when the phone is unlocked after reboot/restart. This is a serious error in the build up of this app. Hence, the intruder can get through if it's stolen. At times I have to start the App in a manual way. The developers needs to work on it.

Excellent App, works everytime. Tried it many times after shutdowns and restarts. Always works. That's why I bought the premium. Totally worth it. I'm using android11 If you could please add video option like you added sound. Also add extra 1 photo front and 1 back in picture options. And for future updates add movement trigger :) This app has so many potential. Thanks

At the first time I used this app. At beginning some days it works very good but after some days of installation it didn’t work properly and i tried to update several times but no update was not available. So, i want to know to authority what's wrong going on?

It doesn't deliver on all the features it boasts about . For the first time , when it is tested seems perfect. But if I lock my phone again , it does not take any pictures and the app doesn't even run in the background Utter waste of money

Updated review: Increased 🌟 rating from four to five. Application now supports, change name and icon with password protection. One thing that is not working properly is alarm sound. It is stopping when I am touching the screen or pressing volume buttons. Sound should stop when device is unlocked. Hope developer will fix the issue. Nice app, BIG THANKS.

When i installed the purchased app on my oppo f9 pro, it shows the warning message like "the device manager permission "is on system security risks exists. tap to close. so i couldn't get the full experience of this app kindly help me out in this case. The warning message always shows on the top of the phone. I have mailed two times for this issue, unfortunately there is no response

Was really happy with how this app worked on my LG, but now I have a Moto G6 Play. I've gotten over 40 messages from the app, just this evening, each one saying that my SIM card has been changed. I don't see how, since the phone has been right here next to me all evening. I've been getting the same messages intermittently all week, but tonight takes the cake.

(Edited on 15Oct18: it works sometimes and it doesn't work most other times. Unless it can start automatically on boot, it is useless. Wrotet to the author but didn't get any reply) Very useful app. Simple and does what it promises to do. Must for every phone.

Have too much to improve... Thief just have access to the menu bar, so it can just turn airplane mode on or turn the phone off and you will never see your phone again. This app should block menu bar and power button (also long press).

This app is great but everytime I open this app it only runs for at ten minutes then it shuts off. The feature were this app takes a photo when someone enters the wrong password shuts off every ten minutes. Please let me know if you know how to fix this issue.

Good app. I paid to unlock everything and it doesn't give enough options to be worth paying for. These app should have an option to take a photo of the phone is unlocked first time with correct pin. That option I'd pay for happily.

Works only in trial mode and then in real mode it works only once or twice. Also, the choice of email account shouldn't be kept limited to gmail accounts used on the device.People should be allowed to enter an external email id so that the thief doesn't delete the email received before the owner sees it.

This app helped me to get back my phone...., immediately! How? You might be asking. Well read the "About this app" and everything that is said about this app is accurate and very true. After the ding dong entered a wrong passcode only once (I set it to 1 failed attempt, options are from 1 to 5) the app took 2 very good pictures of the idiot, recorded 30 seconds of audio (Him swearing and all frustrated), and sent gps information on where the phone was with time and date all to my email. Good app so far. It would be nice if we had icon options. Such as the ability to hide icon from the launcher, change the icon, and change app name. That way it's not as obvious to anyone who gains access to the phone.

The apps working properly. But after one attempt. Automaticaly disable the capture option. After I open and activate again. Only apps work. Please improve the option and fix . I buy a premium. So pls focus on the premium members issue ... So kindly solve this problem developer of the app. Thank u

[NEW REVIEW] Only detects default Locker screen failed unlock attempts. " who touched my phone" by midnightdev, detects failed attempts from any Locker rather than just the default Android Locker. Other than that the email notifications for this app is amazing.

I love all the features of this app and I have been using this app's free version till yesterday and I totally loved it. But I got the premium subscription yesterday evening and now there is more features but now after getting premium subscription geo tagging is not working properly and geo tagging was the most important feature in this app , please do something other wise I have to role this back to the free version.

Actually we can not give the rate 1 star also. only using trail time only perfect but meantime days not working. Last sunday my mobile was theft i can not find. And I have already last 1 month above installed the App. but no use & So it is very very worst performance, because always not working the app. so many time checked the app no capture all ways & no send the mail & no take a picture & not interest to use the app. but last one time will wait the app usage after my report if resolve
