Cross Stitch Joy

I've been doing actual counted cross stitching for over 15 years, and Ive enjoyed using this app just as much as stitching actual patterns. It's easy to use, detailed, and I LOVE having the ability to covert some of my own favourite photos into a pattern! *update on review; I barely use this app anymore, since it was updated and it became too easy with no challenge. Disappointing really. *

I've been playing this game since 2017, and it has changed a lot since then. Obviously I like the game. I like the new "fill without mistakes" thing, which makes it easier to fill in in places like the bus. I also like the new autosave feature. I do miss the old moving controls. Now with two fingers you either move and zoom at the same time, which makes it harder to focus in one area without jumps, or you drag the screen with one finger and accidentally move when you're trying to fill in.

I saw someone's shared picture from using this app and decided to have a look at it myself. Looks like another cross stitch app I've been using but this one is better for me as you can't make mistakes. Because I make lots of mistakes due to a disability and muscle spasms not having to worry about making mistakes is a nice change! And the import feature is great as the supersized images look beautiful once completed!

I really do enjoy this app. However there are a few things I wish were different. 1, I wish you could earn more coins and more often. 2, I wish there was a Undo Button. 3, Cheaper Bundles. And 4, More Free Bundles. I hope you all fix these things. I'll definitely be a long term user.

I love this game it's a great time waster and way to switch your mind off and occupy yourself. Since the new update though the app has broken and won't even open. Not only that but my phone says the app is using too much battery usage which makes no sense considering it won't even open. Very annoying.

This app is great for when you just want to relax. The game offers other choices of pictures. Also you can import any picture you want and make the colors up to 36 down to 8. If ask me...I'd say this game is five stars

Love this App! Very relaxing & much easier to do, plus easier on the eyes. A great variety of pictures to choose from too.

I was finally happy with this game, and gave it five stars now its going down, so very disappointed! So yesterday the unpicks disappeared and now I'm having to use my points. Was there an update? Please give back the unpicks.

This has been one of the best cross stitch apps I've ever played but I'm sad that the app is now crashing whenever I try to play it and I'm afraid to uninstall to lose all of my packs and stuff. Please fix or is this game becoming no longer playable.

Two things. The old version is way better than the new version, but if you download this app on a new device you don't get the option to use old version. Please change that and allow us to use the old way. Secondly, the app won't open now for a few days. I keep waiting on an update. This is by far my favorite app but I'm being forced to find another one.

Gotten used to updated version but now my only suggestion is when you finish a color the check mark is white. On lighter colors it's hard to see. Maybe outline the check mark in black or a dark color so it's easier to see.

I love it but the updates n bugs.. I bought the 12 pack of zebra pictures n they will not load so that I can cross stitch them..please fix this so I can do my pictures...its not fixed yet..once u fix it then I will rate it 5 star

Fun game, but it keeps zooming in and out and I can't stop or control it unless I close the app.

Bought the new group pack. None will open. Restarting app and phone doesn't do anything. Also after I got a new phone, I couldn't transfer my coins. Sent a message to the app, no response. And now game won't open......

This is the first stitch game that hasnt frustrated me! Like very much the fact that u can find the letter to cover,and u cant make a mistake like color the wrong number.i have NO COMPLAINTS! Wish most were like this.im 71 so its a nice game for me.thanks😊

Don't bother. Total rubbish. Finished picture but was still telling me I had 90 stitches left & wouldn't clear.

Great game. Except it awards you with mostly 20 pts. Rarely ever does anything else, especially the 9,999 pts.

I love apps like these. I get into spurts of playing this one alot. I like the variety of picture packs, and the time lapse at the end when you finish a portrait. It can sometimes glitch the zoomed out portrait while your in the middle of one, as if the same image is overlayed in a different position. Can make it frustrating to find the spot you want. Also, there has been the same ad to buy 18k coins for quite some time every time you load in, and you have to click 2 screens to make it go away.

Great app!! One of the best colouring apps I've used. One change I would like to suggest is to keep the finished picture in a video like format. This is so you can go back and replay how the Pic was colored in (as often as you'd like), like how its played back for you immediately after when you do finish a Pic. Plus, be able to see the playback in a more slower version. Ok, hope that makes sense! Lol!

The ONLY thing I would currently like is to be able to control the zoom in and out feature more. Right now, the app only has three modes: a full view, a partial close up, and a full close up. It would be great if we could just zoom in and out freely as it would make the controls way better and less nerve wracking for someone like me with adhd or something similar.

I have this app on both of my phones and have never had the problems described in other reviews. I love playing it. I play with the wi-fi off so no probs with ads and turn it on when getting new pics. The pics are vibrant and interesting. I love the mystery pics and more of them would be nice. The only thing I'd like to see is a way to get rid of old finished pics without having to dump and reload the app.

Burned menus into my phone screen! I played this for hundreds of hours! Love it so much, especially the play back videos! So satisfying! BUT I would sit here and do 1 picture for 3 hours straight over and over and it literally burned the menus into my phone screen. Typing this review there's a ghost of the header menu I can see the button icons. The color squares are also burned into the bottom of my screen. I liked that all the colors could be shown at once too, but that's a bad design!

I would give it 5 stars except I don't like where they have the button where you can watch videos to get coins. It's in the cross stitch area so it covers part of where you are working so you have to move the pattern in order to get to that area, and I end up accidentally hitting it sometimes and then am stuck watching the ad because you can't exit out of it. The controls are a little annoying at times but that's minor. Otherwise I love this app, so relaxing, I get stuck for hours doing a pattern

This app yoused to be really cool, but with the recent updates it basically became a cash-grab you see pretty much everywhere now. It's glitchy, and almost unplayable. I used to have an older verson on my old phone and it was great, it was different and engaging, but now its super basic and something you can see anywhere. It's not worth it anymore.

I have played this every day for years and is my all time favourite app. The new custom zoom feature is outstanding and I like how the auto select will change on its own once one colour has been eliminated (rather than previously having to manually tap the screen to activate the next one). One possible consideration for the next overhaul? It would be great if there was a better way to solidly identify what has been completed in the personal library.

this is so nice but it bores me easily. the best thing on this app is you can import which photo you like but i think the charge is a little pricey. i don't personally like the free pictures and pls lower the price for other canvas i really think it's too much, but overall i love this app. THANK U for creating this !!

I played this from the start were u had to pay to lock your keys so they didn't cover others and I was here when the update with the paint bucket came out, this is my fave app I use it nonstop. Just wish it was easier to import your own photos but I still love the game how it is now I just love it

I wanted to use this on my tablet, but it always crashes. Emailed them with tablet info, and a request to get it to maybe work. No responce and furter updates, it still doesn't work. Now I hardly even use the sister app on the phone. UPDATE: Could start the app on my tablet and used it some. Closed it and went back later to use it and it crashes. Not fully there yet for the fix, but it is getting there. Added a star for the improvement. Looking forward to always being able to use it
