Really enjoy this game so like Scrabble. Being able to choose levels iof play and even change screens is a real plus. Thank you.
i play it almost every day. I really like that you can find out definitions. It's fun! Still loving it 2022! Is it possible not to put the ads in or no way around that?
Great way to keep the grey matter working. Love this game. Ads can be annoying, but since it is a free game, I can' t complain.
Love playing this game. I am distracted often, and the single player mode allows me to play a word in the time I need.
Same huge ad covers entire screen and will not allow you to begin game you have to wait it never used to do this.. deleting!!
I was enjoying this until it was updated. Now all the feature that were there before have gone and where there had been no adverts suddenly i am inundated with them. I will be deleting
An excellent, addictive game. The tiles move smoothly, and the computer player is fast. The hints are generous. My only gripe (not even a complaint, because it's an understandable inclusion) is the ads. But even so, they rarely pop up in the middle of a match, more often directly before and after. Thank you for filling those idle momenys in a day, with so much enjoyment!
Minimal ads, shot ads. Scrabble is well put together.
I've played (and have tried) quite a few single player versions of the classic. This is definitely one of the best. I absolutely love the "teacher" mode which shows you what you could have played and how many points you could have scored if you were as smart as the computer. My game improves with every move. My only (minor) complaint is the lack of a true shuffle button. Double tapping is a distraction which interrupts my train of thought. Nevertheless - - a really well-done game.
A very good Scrabble-like board game, played one-on-one with computer. Simple, yet challenging at the same time. User interface is unique, with many boards to choose from and other options. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys word games without time limits or emotional people who can sometimes ruin the entire gaming experience. Thanks to the developers for bringing this game to android users. 😊
I was frustrated that my favorite Scrabble game was taken down. I tried this CrossCraze Free game and have fallen in love with it! Lots of levels for the CPU, very little difference from the "official" scrabble game, and the BIG plus is, the ads don't interrupt the game! You'll see them at the beginning and end of the game only, which is mighty thoughtful of the developers. Took me a little bit to get used to the game, but now I play it all the time. Great job, guys!
I love this app! This is the least invasive app I found in terms of the ads. In fact, there is none that pops up while playing game. You see ads after a game for a few seconds with an option to mute. It is very cool that players can set the level of challenge and how the screen operate beforehand. It is the best scrabble app I used so far!
This is a beautiful game, but it has problems. The animations are smooth and beautiful, but very slow and you can't turn them off. Some obviously useful features are missing. You must double tap to shuffle your tiles, but there is a ton of empty space between the Hint and Swap buttons and in and around the scorebox. Plenty of room for a shuffle button. When the computer wins, you can't see the final score. The potential score of a word only stays there for two seconds. Out of characters...
YES! :D An app that doesn't have annoying graphics/animations, or wants you to use boosters that change the game! It's the classic, focused game and it looks nice too! I can also shuffle the tiles, and it gives you a lot of nice stats at the end of a game! I'm uninstalling the other 2 apps I downloaded, and keeping this one :)
Maybe the best free version of Scrabble in the Play Store. It's good that it lets you play against different skill or luck levels of the computer and you can still win. Ads etc are not too intrusive and so will get looked at rather than brushed aside in annoyance. Hint... Charge more for them rather than increase their number because this is a game played by an intelligent audience.
Enjoyable and fair playing against an automated competitor or computer. Especially like being able to increase the challenge of difficulty level of competitor on a scale of 1 - 10. There is the immediacy of the competitor's response to put words down on the board whereas I am allowed to take time to think of suitable words. Also allowed to try out words on the board without penalty. Easy to move cursor around on the board without glitches.
I have this app on two phones, one that is fully functional and this one which I use to browse the internet or play this game. I bought the pro for one time fee of $10 which was totally worth it to support the developer. I played Scrabble since I was a child but this one has an extra stacking feature where you can put tiles over other tiles to make new words, and with the pro version, there's ability to choose different types of board layouts. Dev is responsive if you have a problem.
I had been playing the Hasbro licensed Scrabble, which had a nice feature of being able to look up two letter words for any letter, but had very intrusive ads. When it began misbehaving, I tried several free apps and this one was the best. The ad-free version was a bargain, too. Give this one a try!
Really enjoying it sometimes it freezes and you lose it, annoying but have used alot of games that do that and it really doesn't happen often. Managed to move up a few levels, so you can choose whatwvwr levwl you like to play against. Dont get too many adds or waste of time rewards and promotions. Would highly recommend.
Having wasted my time on several other word games, I am pleasantly surprised by the minimal intrusive ads, the simple interface, the ability to play a complete round and enjoyment of time spent playing the game. Best of all, it is not constantly trying to exploit you by pimping.you for your Facebook info. THANKS!
This game has no online multiplayer functionality. It does have some interesting features, like being able to customize board layout, but it's kind of moot when you can only play the ai. Speaking of the ai it's horrifically tough at higher levels unless you nerf it with (basically cheat) settings. I would be fine with that, but it's playing with a dictionary that is pretty questionable. Many crossword game standards don't work while other words that are questionable are used by the ai.
We use this to help my mother with Alzheimer's disease and although we have it at level 2 with normal vocabulary it continually increases the difficulty level and uses unrecognizable words (even for me) which is frustrating for her. It didn't do that originally until after the upgrades. Won't be using this again.
I like the game especially the part where you can choose from 10 level of difficulties. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is because of the recent change that you made. I have to wait 20 seconds just to play a game. Everytime. Even if you started the game already and just have to resume playing it. I understand you may gain if we upgrade to the pro version but please not with this way. It is so annoying.
I enjoy crossword games. Each new game reminds me to use combined words for extra points. This is quick and fun. And you can increase the level of your opponent gradually, giving you a chance to learn and improve yourself. I've been playing this crossword game for over 6 months and I play several games a day. I really enjoy it!
I have loved this game for years now, but recently when an ad pops up there is nothing to click onto to close it.... no x'ing out of it. You keep pecking around hoping there is an invisible x somewhere to escape, but all keep on doing is clicking on the ad.I My only option is to uninstall and reinstall the app altogether. This is getting old very quickly. Solution would be to get ad free version but I just don't want to do that. With all the games out there it would be easier to move on.
Great game. Ads are unobtrusive and the ai is variable enough to be helpful to novices or challenging to pros. Glad I got it. PS: After playing a few days, and losing a few games, I recommended to the author that "You Lose" was rather harsh. I suggested "Player Two Wins" would be more positive. I suppose several people might have made the same suggestion. I was pleased to see this change in the last update.
In the minimal words, I'd say it is excellent, ads are not intrusive and the UI is user-friendly. One thing is that critically speaking at level 5 itself the game gets awfully challenging to handle. Be bit lenient and fair here please. Otherwise it is highly recommended and thumbs up to the developers.
