Crossword Daily: Word Puzzle

Ok, so I downloaded this game and played a short time, but I can attest that the colors do cause eye strain as another review mentioned. Maybe some font and/or color changes for hints, etc. would be beneficial. Aside from that, the puzzles are not too difficult and the hints have yet to be too vague like other apps I have tried. This has potential if the creators are willing to put a little more optionality into settings of the app.

The puzzles are great, however, the absence of Dark Mode makes this app difficult on the eyes. And the app interface looks very primitive. The keyboard itself is very difficult to use and takes some time to get the hang of. The icons look very early 90s and the overall experience in using the app was not very impressive.

Found some spelling errors .. but a pretty good app .. REPLY. I wish there were themed ones to choose from etc. I like that they are the ones from newspapers, etc .. but sometimes id like to be able to choose fun ones .. like the 80s or 90s, or music, food .. etc.

Brilliant app. Best crossword game by a mile! Minimal ads that are dismissed instantly. Only bugbear; it would be nice to put your favourite crossword at the top of the list, rather than trawl through them all looking for it. Keep up the great work Dev.s.

I have been using Shortyz Crosswords for years, but it has been unsupported for years. Your app is working well, but the look and feel is very uncomfortable for me. Any chance you could add settings that could make it look and function more Shortyz Crosswords? For that look similar feature I would be happy to pay the yearly fee.

Great game & I love the hints when I'm stuck! But I have a suggestion - can the solve puzzle button be moved further away from the reveal a letter button please? Far too often I accidentally hit solve puzzle when I just want a letter.

I really enjoy this selection of crosswords. Visually simple but various levels of difficulty and very few adverts. I use it daily.

I was enjoying, but lately some of the more challenging puzzles are no longer being downloaded? Is this a temporary or permanent change? Specifically New Yorker, LA Times.

So far I like the app. Ads between games are short and thus not annoying. All my favorite crosswords in one place and free. Its worth watching a 30 second ad to play the "premium" puzzles if Ibdecide i want to. Especially compared to the NYT crossword app that costs 40 bucks a year! Great app.

Decent crossword app, but could be improved by adding word lengths for multi-word answers.

Great for phone..clue, puzzle, and keyboard all on screen at the same time..good designers.!

B E Q includes numbers but the keyboard does not. It's not worth playing just to find out that you cannot finish a puzzle.

I love the efficiency and ease of this way of doing the daily crosswords puzzles.Thanks for this opportunity to stimulate my aging 88 year-old brain.

Quality of games has really gotten worse. The clues, and their answers have gotten sloppy and stupid. Wish I could remove certain games like the cryptic one. App is fun when it's good, but I HATE anagram clues-not the game I signed in for. Even misdirected clues are too often sloppy and/or incomprehensible. When these things aren't happening, it's an enjoyable game.

I chose the LA Times puzzle. Playing on my phone. Bottom fourth of screen filled with keyboard. Top fourth is red banner for title. Rest of page is tdd he grid. No clues for puzzle. Uninstalled again. I'm sure the error is mine but can't play.

Good app with just one problem. The clues that are supposed to be fill in the blank are missing the blank so that is confusing. Fix that and 5 stars. More puzzles than I can ever finish!

Completely free, hardly any ads and when there are they are only 5 seconds long, plenty of puzzles to keep you going. Definitely recommend this app! Only downside is that it could do with a little face-lift to make it look a little better, but it's only a crossword game so it makes no real difference! I've tried a few but they either had loads of ads that pop out at you halfway thru typing a word, or you have to jump thru hoops to get coins for new games. This is just great, thanks!

It's still crashing on 4/21/2022...Uninstaller and re-installed...I play this everyday...glad you got it fixed

For some reason this is not working right anymore. I used just a week ago and was fine. The back and triple bar menu buttons are so far on the corner of the screen when I tap them nothing happens. I can't get clues without the menu buttons I did try rebooting. I also unistalled the app and reinstalled the app and still doesn't work. Update. I figured out the issue. On Android they did an update and there was a setting that was viewing it in full screen. Once I fixed this setting it is working again. But other people may have this issue too.

Cons:The graphic could be updated and not look older. Pro: you can use the same crossword that we currently get in our newspaper but its online. I love that. Con: I wish there was an introduction when you download of how to use the application. I know for older people and even people with disabilities, it is hard navigating. But once you get the jest of it, then it's awesome.

This is a great little app overall. I won't have time to play enough to ever run out of puzzles. It's a little cumbersome moving around the puzzle (no arrow keys on the keyboard that let you move one letter at a time), and hitting the arrow at the top left takes you all the way back to the monthly calendar rather than back to the list of daily puzzles you were just working on. But these are irritations I can live with in exchange for this treasure trove of puzzles. Thank you!

The ads are too frequent. A full video ad between every crossword puzzle is excessive. (EDITED) REPLY It isn't about specific intervals. If I were playing a game where I could finish a level in a minute or two, ads every three minutes would be fine. I would finish two or three levels in between. But in a game where the per level time is averaging over 6 minutes, the 3 minute interval results in an excessive number if ads. It's about ad frequency over game play.

This is a great app if you are into crossword puzzles. Exactly as advertised. Downloads most of the common daily crossword puzzles (including LA Times, USA Today, Schaffer, Universal, etc.). Once downloaded, you can then play off-line without internet access. So for example it is great for long plane or car rides. Ads only play between puzzles. Has an option to note incorrect letters if you are a little unsure. Love this app. Would give it 10 stars if possible.

Been using this app for a long time. Game play is great. Puzzle availability is good. But clues often reference circled clues (from original source) but not circled in the app. Also GUI a little underwhelming. I would prefer it be more mature / professional if that makes sense. Also ability to turn errors on/off without having to leave puzzle and go to the settings page.

This game has a variety of real crossword puzzles in a low tech mode. If you get the letter right, it is black. If you make a mistake, it is red. Besides this there are several different modes of playing, but from easiest to hardest, this is one of the best all-round crossword games out there🤓

Enjoying the puzzles, and the UI overall is well designed. Would appreciate the configurable option not to have the completed puzzle disappear from the screen upon confirmation that it has been solved. Sometimes it's nice to look back over the finished work before moving on.

Okay app. The problem that I face is that there are days when I cannot access the puzzles. The calendar stays white. I half to force stop the app to get it to reload.

Perfection...or very close. Exactly what it should be. Very few ads almost none. No excess just crosswords!!!!
