A crossword is a word puzzle that normally takes the form of a square or a rectangular grid of white and black shaded squares. The goal is to fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases, by solving clues that lead to the answers. In languages that are written left-to-right, the answer words and phrases are placed in the grid from left to right and from top to bottom. The shaded squares are used to separate the words or phrases.

Well made app. The functionality and playing experience are top notch. Ads are unintrusive. The puzzles themselves could be a little more challenging - the "Very Hard" puzzles are pretty standard in difficulty. But all in all a very good app with no investment needed.
My wife and I have been enjoying this. We have races on the same puzzle. The only issue is that mine comes from Google and hers is from Amazon, and the versions differ. Same puzzles and app, but different in a few ways. Still, a great game. I have decided to pay the amount to loose the ads because I expect to enjoy it for quite a while. Mar 27, we still like the game. 4/15/22, still enjoying the game
Not terrible, game play is well done. The various creators of the individual puzzle packs are where the game lacks. Some hints ok, some just completely unrelated to the word. Also it's a crossword game not a crosssentence game. Maybe they could spend less time trying to be clever and more time improving the experience for the end user.
Entertaining & Challenging. The puzzle feature, revealing the clues when a box is touched, is very useful. It makes working the puzzle on a tablet or cell more enjoyable since it allows maximum area for the puzzle. The different puzzle categories are a bit odd, but I am figuring them out as I go along.
I love all the choices and the ability to work the puzzles in any order. I also find I like certain puzzle creators, so I tend to gravitate toward their puzzles. And there aren't ads every 10 seconds! Thank you so much for that! It makes your app much more enjoyable. Great app.
Excellent puzzles for any skill level. Great interface and very user friendly. I'm sure the paid version is excellent, but the ads are tolerable and appropriate for any age in the free version.
Clues from some authors are obscure and ambiguious, but others are quite direct. Most require both knowledge and logic to solve. Very easy to navigate. Best of the crosswords I have tried.
Please add an option to disable full screen, trying to swipe from the bottom to reveal the navigation bar is very irritating and often causes accidental keyboard input. I'm enjoying this app otherwise, thank you.
Nice app, easy to use! Has some nice features which enable you to customise how you play such as locking correct answers or showing wrong letters. I am English so the American spellings and general knowledge keep me on my toes. My only criticism is that there are so many repeated words. I mean come on, how many words are in the English language!? There shouldn't be any repeated clues if the makers of the puzzles really cared about the sanity of the person doing them 😂
This is the best crossword app I have found. There is not a limit on how many you can complete a day and the ads are minimal and do not interrupt game play at all.
I wanted a free alternative to the NYT crossword app and this one is the next best thing. I like having puzzles of different difficulty levels.
Lots of puzzles! Easy vs medium vs hard varies depending on the crossword author, but it's not a problem because there are so many to choose from. UI is a bit clunky but workable. Can't beat free!
Honestly, best crossword game I've found! Short ads, if any; TONS of Puzzles with various difficulties and creators. I have yet to run out of Puzzles to complete. Settings to assist you or you can play without to challenge yourself! 10/10 will always recommend!

Great crossword game with lots of puzzles and options. Would like a little control over game options (maybe there are in the pay version) but this free game is the best crossword puzzle app I've played, and that includes the NYT puzzle.
A wonderful experience all around, with a huge variety of puzzles for any skill level. The advertisements are sparse and not intrusive. I would whole-heartedly recommend this to anyone who enjoys crosswords.
Some far-fetched definitions and a lot of trivia, but some puzzles are better than others. I only do the hard and very hard. Also, some ads are in terrible taste.
Infuriating to play. Doesn't let you select a word you input incorrectly and 'type over' it. You have to select each individual letter.and retype! Terrible.
I don't usually give feedback on games but this is such a good, relaxing time filler. Only ads in between the finished crosswords which is great. Good setting options.
Its the best Crossword App I've tried! Ads only after games, the interface is very easy to use, my only issue is sometimes Ill press a letter and it'll register another letter but only a minor issue. I love it!
Fun and excellent exercise for my brain/memory! I really love it and play it several times every day! Could be interactive if used by a small group, but actually I prefer to play it alone. Great job Redstone.5 stars! Best app on my phone! Pat C.
It has a large selection of puzes raging from small to big and from easy to complex, the filters are intuitive and the overall interface is easy to use and understand.
I enjoy the settings options, like colouring the incorrect letters. I wish there was a little more consistency with proposed difficulty levels.
Great crossword puzzles despite the adds. Sometimes the clues don't make sense, or they repeat words across different puzzles. Otherwise a great free app.
Ads are reasonable and not overwhelming. Puzzles are good, though they are predominantly very US-centric, which is pretty disappointing.

This is a great program to use for my occasional cravings to exercise my brain. I'm not so savvy with the difficult levels so I'm happy there's so many options for easy crosswords.
Well designed interface and very few short ads. Variety of puzzle difficulties and settings. Play every day.
I never did crosswords before and thought they were for more scholarly folks but I am progressively doing them faster. It's very satisfying. Seldom see an ad. Seem to have a billion puzzles. Will never grow tired of this. *Update: The customer service is bar none, the best of any app I have used. Of all the zillions of crossword apps, this one outshines them all.
