I have had this app for at least nine years and love it. Normally when I have to exit a game, before finishing the puzzle, it has ALWAYS been saved. However, with the most recent update my unfinished puzzle is no longer saved. All my answers are deleted and I have to start over again. This is frustrating and hoping this will be fixed as soon as possible. **** update The issue has been fixed. Thank you!!

Update: has been working very well for months now. Older review: It worked for one day, and ever since has been completely unresponsive. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, have cleared the cache, turned my phone off and back on, and it is still not working. I paid 9.99 for this! Absurd for something to work so poorly. Update: I got a notice saying there was an update/response to my problem, but the app still doesn't work. Same issues as before. Another update: seems to work now. Recent update definitely improved it. We'll see if it lasts.

It's the best crossword app I've come accross and buggy as... For example, sometimes when i delete a puzzle it comes back a few minutes later. i start doing a puzzle before soon realising it's one i just recently completed and deleted. Another problem is that if I need a letter for the last square on the puzzle I don't receive my completion time. Now uninstalled after a catty, unhelpful response from the developer.

The app is great and I have always used it on my Chromebook, but recently it stopped letting me use my keyboard to enter answers. I am able to use the arrows, space bar, tab, etc. (even numbers), but anytime I type letters, nothing happens. I emailed the developer and did not receive a response, so I am hoping this will do the trick.

This app used to work great and then it suddenly stopped responding. I've cleared the data and cache and uninstalled and reinstalled the app (vanilla install) and it still doesn't work. I've even had an email conversation with the creator and he also cannot figure out how to make it work, and gave me the same trouble shooting methods I used above. In the end, I think you're probably better off using a better crossword app. Update: Developer is extremely RUDE as seen below.

Latest update (5/21/19) has serious problem. If you leave the app for any reason, all your entries are cleared when you go back. I completed the form at Stand Alone and sent an email on 5/21 but no response yet. Revised 5/24: I just got an update that fixes the problem. I can now say that I'm quite pleased with the software. I've been using it since it came out on Palm Pilots - - that was years ago.

There should be an option to use the system keyboard. Some crosswords use numbers or symbols and the app keyboard only allows entering letters. Other than that, no complaints.

I bought this app ages ago, used it on many android devices. It worked fine on my Pixel 6 Pro until 3 days ago. Now, it opens, shows the title, then the page of downloaded puzzles. The page shows no puzzles whatsoever, & none of the buttons work. Help!

For the longest time this app worked well. Now every time i enter the correct word the program freezes. No longer usable, sad. Update: the app seems to be working again, maybe it was fixed, maybe it was having issues with certain puzzles, don't know.

I've used this for years in both Android and Apple devices - but as another user mentioned, all of a sudden it stopped performing well. It freezes and then crashes almost every time I try to use it:( Please update/fix, I beg you...

I continue to use this because it's got a good selection of puzzles but it has become very buggy. Freezes frequently, and it appears that certain puzzle providers have stopped participating. I'll have to find a new one.

This is my favorite App, but the most recent update deletes your entries when you go to another App (i.e., phone, text, etc) or let it idle for a few minutes. PLEASE FIX IT. Update: they fixed it w/ v2.4.2.2. Thank You!

When it works, I love it. But the most recent update seems to have shut me out completely. I'm not sure if this is because I have an Android? Or whatnot, but I miss my crosswords. I do three a day, and again when it works its great. But I can't help but think my phone will never allow me back in.

The list of puzzle providers has shrunk to the point that it is no longer worth bothering with this once great app. I have the paid version and will be uninstalling and searching for an alternative.

What others have said. Last update broke the app. App loses ALL entries if I stop or try to close by going back to List. Unusable now, but hopefully they'll fix. On rooted, Android Pie phone, using imported NYT puzzles. EDIT: Fixed with 5/24 update. Thx!

with latest update it clears a partially complete puzzle on open. otherwise a great piece of software and I have been enjoying it for years. it will get fixed.

This is an excellent app, and arguably the best crossword app in the store. Well thought out in every sense - and clearly made for crossword enthusiasts. Have used it since it came out, and looking forward to many more years. Thank you!

I have had the app for years and have loved it, but a few months ago it stopped working and will not reinstall. It seems any app I originally installed from Amazon app store will no longer update or open.

This was my favorite game until the last update. None of the entries are staying in the puzzles, rendering the game useless. Please fix this problem!

Recent update (Feb 2019) borked. App keeps automatically jumping to a puzzle. impossible to back out to list view and have it stay there to browse puzzles.

I use this app irregularly, and today when i went to use it, it would open, then moments later tell me the app was not responding. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if this solves the issue, but it did not. 😒

was a great game until last update. now it won't load any puzzles and says app isn't responding. please fix. 5 star if you fix it. I paid good money for the premium

What happened? Used to be lots of great puzzles, but now the number of puzzles is dwindling down to nothing. So many of the providers seem to have dried up!

I used to love this app, used it every day. now, for some unknown reason, when I open the app, it just goes to a grey screen and I can't do anything. Its disappointing.

Game would not work! Crashed every time I open it! Trying to figure out how to get a refund for the $9.99 I paid for a game I've never been able to use!

deleted my ranty post from 3/3/19. problems with saving completion times and importing puzzles from outside sources have been fixed! Thank you!

Best crossword app out here!! I've had it for years and have never regretted the price.

Puzzles are doable, but not too easy.

Not as polished as iPad version, now keeps crashing, not sure why.

I love this app. I bought it maybe 10 years ago and have never had issues with it. Wonderful app!
