Crosswords Puzzle

This was a 5-star app until this new release. What a pity. The new glaring red grid is visually nasty and I see no option to change to proper white. Now it only loads Joseph and Sheffer, not the full slate I used to get (and checked in Settings) and nothing I try loads the rest. Please provide a "classic" option to go back to how it was, or I'm shopping for a new app.

I used to love this app. Now, no matter what I do (and I have both unintalled/reinstalled and cleared the data), the whole puzzle comes up with red boxes (both night and day mode). It won't tell me I've completed the puzzle correctly until I go to the menu and hit reveal errors, and I'm getting about a third of the puzzles each day as I got before the update.

Was my favorite app - when it worked. New version only downloads 2 crosswords (even though defined in the settings to download all), and promptly crashes when I click on one. Have uninstalled and reinstalled five times. Tried rebooting my phone before re-installing. Nothing I have an HTC 10 running Android 7.0

App used to be my favorite time sink during commutes and at work. Recent update no puzzles would download. Uninstalled then reinstalled. Now only two will download, but app crashes when trying to start. This app was perfect and now it's horrible. What a waste.

EDIT: I can't install the old version using that link. The new update has completed ruined this once amazing app (was my favourite). Now it crashes all the time and I am really disappointed that it deleted all of my crosswords. I was still working on ones from back to last year and trying to finish them without assistance. Terribly disappointed

Was great until this latest update, which rendered it impossible to download any new puzzles. Only one I could find that would let me download actual, published crosswords (as opposed to garbage ones like "free easy celebrity crosswords" or whatever written by the devs)...and now it is worthless. Also, it now forces a sign-in at Google Play Games for no reason whatsoever.

Used to love this app, but after the update installed I can't get puzzles to download, the interface is buggy, and there is just way too much going on. What I like about the app was that it was simple and intuitive, and just allowed you to get on with enjoying a crossword! Not interested in the bells and whistles if functionality is the price.

A lot of issues after the last update, but still the best crossword app I can find. I just hope they fix the bugs quickly. On my phone the puzzle itself is always red. The day and night option only changes the keyboard color.

Ruined this app with new update. Can't stand color scheme hurts my eyes. Will not download puzzles.

Crashing has stopped after uninstalling and re-installing but now several other issues! - every box shows pink until you tab on it and hit backspace. I.e. Games are showing every box has an error. - new features overlay is popping up randomly when I go back to my puzzle list. - puzzle list no longer shows what puzzles you've started. - when in night mode the texting explanation text is in black so you can't see it. - app icon shows black and white transparency checkers behind it like icon art border hasn't been correctly made transparent. - Universal and USA Today puzzles aren't downloading for the days they are available

Was the best crossword app until the update. I no longer get "all available" crosswords (only two, if that). I even cleared the data and reinstalled it, to no avail. I also can't seem to get the horribly annoying red background off of the crosswords I do get... Extremely disappointed!

This game used to be awesome until the last update, now its unplayable, zoom. doesn't work and the whole. puzzle is an ugly red colour. Hints stopped working too

It worked great until this update today now I can't get any of my puzzles I can't do any of it just crashes repeatedly I'm going to uninstall it

Cleared app data and cache. Also uninstalled and reinstalled app. Horrible. Will only download two puzzles per day. This was my favorite crossword app but I guess I'll be looking for another. Update ruined this app.

You've totally ruined a good app with this latest update. I will have to uninstall it and find another one. The two puzzles I used to do, the USA Today and LA Times are no longer available

I used to love this app until they updated it and broke it. Many others are apparently also experiencing the same problems. If you'd like to replace it with something just like the original app, then install Daily Crossword by AK. apps.

This was my favorite CW app but the download today broke it. Won't download any puzzles.

After update and reinstalling - only works if you grant access to media and contacts, don't like to do this. Background of puzzles stuck on red regardless of whether night mode on or off.

Puzzles appear to download but don't show up. Hate being forced to sign into Play Games - don't care about any of that stuff. Just want to work crosswords. Please fix ghost mess.

Like the puzzles, hate the new colors and graphics. Also Very annoying constant request to rate

If its not broke dont fix it! This update is one of the worst things you've ever done. I'll be looking for another crossword app. Because I hate this one now. Shame on you

I like most of the updates but app SERIOUSLY needs to give user the option to switch between the awful red color boxes and normal white. Being forced to look at red and black is really terrible.

No more good puzzles since the update! Ughhhhhhhhh. Can't even cut and paste your old version link.

Go to game for a long time. Seriously flawed now. Newer is not always better!

This was my favorite app until you updated it yesterday. Why in the world would you change the screen to a horrid red color? This is a Computer Programming 101 project gone wrong. Please go back to the old version; there was nothing wrong with it.

What an absolute bummer that the update ruined this app. Was an easy 5 star app before but now won't download puzzles and the color scheme is awful. Please try again.
