Frustrating unintuitive interface. Can't find a way to create any kind of playlist within the app even though it seems to suggest you can. App is slow and relies on back button too much. Poor experience.
Genuinely the least functional app I've ever used. Works 15% of the time at most. Garbage app, 0/10
Great app, only problem is the crowd DJ machine in AMF bowling at Forest Hill shows a white screen. No one can pick a song there for some reason, please fix asap. I'm not sure if this comment is useful, but if it is thank you
Good app, biggest draw back is that there doesn't seem to be good synchronisation between Spotify and the app. When new songs are added to Spotify list, there are not updated on CrowdDj EDIT TO RESPONSE BELOW FROM NIGHTLIFE MUSIC: Hi Nightlife, the songs are definitely activated by the club, I can search and play them from with in the app, but they just don't appear in the list I have synced with Spotify. They are definitely in both the Spotify play list and the CrowdDJ app but not in the synced list.
Any time I choose a song, maybe two if I'm lucky from my Spotify list, it says "attempting to reconnect". Then it won't work again til I close and open. Deleted and reinstalled and still does it every time.
Don't get this app until the developer fixes the issue of it crashing and having to be reinstalled every time. As you can see below multiple people have mentioned this exact problem and the developer comes back with the same old tired "oh I'm sorry to hear that, can you tell me more" cop out. It's simple, Fix the issue multiple customers have complained about and this would be an app definitely worth getting.
Experiencing issues where the gym I visit everyday constantly goes offline, then disappears from the list altogether. Will usually resolve itself anywhere from hours to days later, but as it is happening more and more regularly, it almost defeats the purpose of using the app. The system in the gym itself works perfectly fine, however, so unsure if it is the app in this instance or the gym itself
After I pick songs it goes back to "view only" mode and I have to restart the app to pick more songs :/
It's a great idea. Just the app is so slow, barely opens playlists and doesn't quite have enough songs (but yes, quite enough to find at least a few things you like)
Its ok, really doesnt have many songs though, only really new stuff or really popular songs/bands etc.
Good but annoying that you have to wait 2 minutes to select another song. Not a problem with the application but the songs seem to play faster than normal. Downgraded as it also seems only half the song plays.
Sometimes it works great, but at present the timer counts down for credits, then just starts again with no credit added. So I can't pick any songs!! Which defeats the purpose of having the app. Deleted app and re installed, same problem still
Good concept but it simply doesnt work for places like the gym due to only a small range of music being available for selection, i either have to wear noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs at the gym now because I'm sick of hearing the same 'top 40' style songs on repeat.
Spotify play lists only have some of the songs available, sometimes does not even play the selection, terrible system to use better off sticking with Spotify. Trying to re invent the wheel but failing dismally. Epic fail. !!!
Good that you can choose your own music but the selection has just been SERIOUSLY limited! it used to be ok and now it's almost pointless - can barely even find songs that they allow you to play!
The search feature is terrible. Finds an artist fine, but proceeds to take 100 years to show the songs, more often it's stuck on the 3 dot loading. Does not matter if you're on mobile data or WiFi.
Never works for me. My gym has it set up to not need verification if you're in the building (don't need a code) but I can only get this app to recognise I'm in the gym about once every ten visits. The rest of the time it won't allow me to queue anything. My other GPS-based apps have no problem pinpointing me, just this one.
Recently got back to using this app after lockdown ended. I'm disappointed. Alot of songs have been removed from the play list. Including songs by Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Shaggy etc. Other artists aren't even on the list
Good when it works but I have to keep reinstalling it every few times , as i have to all of a sudden wait 50 seconds and when it gets to zero it resets to 50 seconds again. Then asks me what the code is on the tv screen or something.
The app now does not allow you to choose songs if you reset your timer or check anything else. The timer to choose songs will only run if you keep the app open with the screen on! Otherwise is resets back to 3 minutes.
great app to select music at different venues. one small problem is the back button on phones does not close the app like all other apps. u have to use home key to close it.
Absolutely broken app. It takes 3 minutes of sitting on the app, without letting your phone screen turn off, before the app works properly. Who has 3 minutes to sit on their phone staring at an app? It took me less time to write this review.
App was good until the last update. The "time to next credit" now appears and keeps resetting so you never get to select a song. I always use to get 3 credits to select songs.
If I could 0/5 I would. This app is garbage, and song selection is rubbish. App constantly loses connection with venue, the venue itself disconnects from the crowddj network, the app doesn't refresh credits, app leaves you stuck in view only mode, can't select more than 2 songs from the same artist.
