Look no further. CrowdMag is by far the best compass/declination app in PlayStore. Free, fast, feature-rich, and no ads.
i just downloaded this and was interested to know if you can record data on the poles shifting? like does it show you data on true north vrs a year from now how much it's moved? thanks !
My last review was wrong. I needed to calibrate for the compass to work properly
Love it. Have been using for about a year. Excellent app. Quick response on questions, too.
So far it seems to be accurate, also very useful, also thank you for being
Awesome app. It helps when setting up my telescope outdoors.
Error writing .csv data file when trying to export measurements. Please, help!
It would be cool if CrowdMag linked with MyShake extra points if it used a geo coin too
Good Crowdsouring application on earth magnetic deviation and its impact.
Easy to use and always on point.
Very interesting... best of its kind!
The garden 😍 ♥ ❤ 💙 💖 ✨ 😍
Best App
There's the export import functionality now so I can transfer over the data on a new device, however it seems that it only records the data when I tell it to. I wouldn't have a problem with that but since it wakes my screen every time it polls, I'd like to be able to disable the permanent notification somehow.
I have it for a week now and it doesnt measure / record anything! Settings are not explained good enough and start screen initially points to Denver, no matter where you are. Besides, esri map is sloooow! Not recommended!
I am glad to see this app is growing in popularity - ever since I first heard about voluntary crowd distributed computing and data aggregation for research, I knew it would certainly become big. To see it now in an app running on the Android mobile platform, the avenues have really opened up & I am glad to share a fraction of processing power and data snapshots with the NOAA. Plus the app isn't built on just yanking resources & data - it provides useful references/tools you can use for your own benefit. I find it interesting to see when & where magnetic anomalies arise and the solar magnetic storm meter is also useful. The app works perfect on my Huawei Mate 9 running Android 7 - I haven't had a single issue since install. I'd like to see more projects arise to participate in like this one. I think it's time Prof.s started to raise the bar for some of their grad students trying to get published - force them to cross disciplinary lines & get moving.
I Love NOAA. Everything they do is awesome! I would give this app many more points if I could.
Doesn't allow migrating this app to external storage.
You updated it 2 days ago, April 7 and it still crashes when you click on the compass. And I Uninstalled and re-installed it twice
It's a good app but crashes every single time...
It's not working...
Someone's always thought of your eureka idea before you, but happy to find someone's already coded the app for me. To new users -Bear with the app for the first day, it may appear that it's not doing anything while it captures your first day of data.
When I fly my drone its good to use this app. It lets you know if there are any magnetic anomalies in the area which can affect your drone calibration
We love the app! I fell sensitive about the electromagnetic waves and radiation and we are specially today experiencing a high level variation from our pattern. We live in the middle of south America and we saw an incredible increase of our numbers. From 23.000nt to 149.000 and it's not going back normal! From 02 Jan 2021. Even our phones started to break with no apparent Reason....
