Fantastic gem of a game. Simple layout & design. Easy to pickup and understand, yet gains difficulty the longer you play. The enemies get stronger the more you explore the beautiful, hexagonal and randomised map. While the "mission" may be short, mabye 2 hours, there's tons of replay ability to get all characters, unlock abilities and find the best possible items to help you.
A hex, turn-based tactical strategy with roguelike elements. Design a bit simplistic, gameplay a bit slow. All in all a pretty linear game for what's advertised as a roguelike. Still, a good amount of writing and art went into this piece. For me though, game-wise, a bit slow and behind the times.
A solid turn based roguelike utilizing a hex based battle system with solid mechanics and progression. Levels carry over between runs so when you inevitably wipe, you retain your stats. Items don't carry over but the shops and events are generous.
Not worth the money. The gameplay is the same meaning replayability is bad. The ending is the same and makes you feel disappointed. It just feels boring to play.
I bought this game because it's discounted, but you would need purchase DLCs in game to actually enjoy the complete game experience. I wish I tried playing it as soon as I installed it, I would have gotten my money back.
This is my all time favorite mobile game I've played.prolly more than 20 hours, way more, I love the replayability you can play 100 times and still see different stuff, PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER ONE I WOULD PAY AT LEAST 10 DOLLARS FOR A 2ND AND MORE CONTENT, the characters are interesting, There not just filler each one brings something to the table, thank you for excellent game
The ways node helps make the game more enjoyable, but the normal mode provides that extra challenge that is so satisfying when you win. Alao has some nice humor.
Great game, deserves more attention. Solid story, combat mechanics, character development. Would be great to see new content.
Fantastic turn based game, the only thing I dislike is the end result if you rush through as the game urges you to do.. but the journey is still brilliant
Good game a liitle more back atory would be nice. The game play is great turn based and easy to learn with lots of strategy
My favorite tactical game. Positioning matters a lot and all the special abilities are fun
Really cool game! I like everything about it pretty much. Pleasantly surprised I must say. Great work shout out to those who have worked on this game.
Tried to buy the upgrade for playable charecters. Seems like I didnt get it
This is one of my favorites. It's simple, yet has enough depth to keep you coming back.
Voice broken, music broken. Need to repair.
Game is abandoned. No updates in 2 years. Don't waste your time.
I love this Roguelike-fantasy game. It's a romp if you like the genre
More chore than fun
Have it on PC, and it's just as good here
This one is OK. I like the characters, system, world, hexes, and turn-based combat. The reason I'm feeling somewhat ambivalent about the game is the time aspect. You have to be clean, tight, and efficient, or else monsters will get super-tough and destroy you. I'm a Bethesda fan - I like to explore and take my time in games, but that's not an option in Crowntakers :(
Very good game. I especially appreciate the family friendly aspect of it. Keep it up! Update 2020: Came back to it after a break. Still great.
**UPDATES: Waited a year after an email from developers said they would be fixing the blown speaker sound in this game. Ugh!** ...... Still not fixedSound & graphics were so bad I uninstalled instantly. The loading time to even begin the game took forever. Very Disappointed... Can't get refund now, I forgot I had tried this app before =(
The only thing I wish is that it was a bit more open and less funneled story wise. That is just personal preference though.
Crowntakers has some interesting ideas, incorporating a hex grid with some simple tactical play. If you have played Hoplite you'll enjoy some of the Puzzle-Esq type of gameplay the game employs. However, while Crowntakers has some nice elements to it, and certainly is quite replayable, an overall run feels somewhat too short in duration. Additionally it seems like the AI could be a bit smarter - making better use of backstabs, using knockback more effectively, etc. Additionally, the price is perhaps a bit too high for the content offered. It might be advisable to wait for a sale before considering a purchase of this game.
Really enjoying. You can play a quick match or settle in for a long one.
Great game fun to play. Like that your level remains after you die.
Love it. Simple, fun, addictive. After beating, try to speedrun. Super challenging.
Played on Steam, now its mobile!
I've had this game for years now. Was certainly worth the $10 or so I originally spent on it. It's a perfect design for tablets and phones. Short, simple and limitless replaying 😁.. every run through is different and every run through is a challenge.. I've only finished the game a few times. It's a shame more devs don't design games like this.
