Updated app is so much better. The scan function is very useful.

Don't waste your time! You hardly find the brand you're looking for, and if you find it, they just show the link to the brand's site. Popular drugstore cruelty free products (like e.l.f., Milani, etc...) can't be found on the list. The barcode scanner doesn't work at all, even for the brands that they have listed. You're better off if you bookmark their site and check it out when you need.

I sure wished this worked better. I typed Burt's Bees Bees in the search box, which I know is cruelty free, and nothing came up. Then I went to the brands list and found Burt's Bees there. So, trying to do a search for a product is useless. In the store I used the barcode identifier on the app and it wasn't helpful either. Hey Leaping Bunny, people want to use your app, help us out🙏💛

Useless app, garbage. Search function doesn't work at all and after a failed search, I can't even navigate back to the list to scroll.

Cannot find ANY brands. Totally useless. I even tried large brands, Dove, Colgate, Cover Girl. Just to see if the brands I was looking for were too obscure. Still didn't find them. Cruelty Cutter is better. Uninstalling.

Needs some serious updating and help! The search is useless and most of the companies don't even have the listed website any longer. It's not user friendly at all!!

Not up to date I was hoping this could help me when shopping. Lots of brands aren't listed in the app. Uninstalling.

I got this app because it scans barcodes, and it doesn't even work! Would not recommend

Wanna love it but definitely needs updating and seems very U.S. focused :) love leaping bunny! Thanks for all your hard work regardless!

Many brands are not listed as in Pacifica,Artic Fox and Method and others.

It said that there was no company with barcodes for things that even the super out of date BFP cruelty cutter app could find.

I really like and trust the Leaping Bunny organization. They have very strict standards and have icons to inform you when a parent company is not cruelty-free and if the company is based in Canada. When I see the Leaping Bunny logo, I feel way better about my purchase.

Needs updated! Pointless to use when half of the websites dont work and so many companies have been added!

Amazing so many categories and brands to choose from!

This has a lot of cruelty free products indexed, but it's missing several big name companies like Pacifica and Lush. It also lists products containing beeswax and lanolin which are not cruelty free.

This data base list is out dated, products I know to be cruelty free aren't listed, and one that's even listed on the application discription isn't even on the list. Only your skin, look and see,it's displayed but not in the product list.

Won't update. There's apparently a new update but I can't see it so this is years out of date for me... Edit: I contacted them on Facebook. It took days of messaging back and forth, but the developer fixed whatever the issue was! Thank you!

It's not very help full. The website works better, than the app. I'm sticking to the website of this!

This app is nice but some of the brands on here are only part cruelty free. For example, brands like Burt's Bees and Seventh Generation were bought out by parent companies who do test on animals and the app doesn't make the distinction for those who don't want cruel parent companies. It's nice, needs work but I'm sure the app will improve.

1. We should know the parent companies of products and if they are cruelty free or not. 2. When you select vegan it should actually come up brands with all vegan products. 3. Or have a 100% vegan brand option as it would be nice to see other brands that may have some vegan options. 4. A brand should not be classed as cruelty free if there parent company isn't. 5. Brands should be vegan or have high majority of the products vegan and are switching the rest over to be considered cruelty free. 6. We can't select by country or vegan etc. 7. Some information is out of date. 8. Brands what claim to be cruelty free and don't have any evidence of China you should try to get them approved. 4. Is because profits go to parent funding animal testing. 8. I will contact all the brands to try and see if they will get approved.

A lot of reviewers are complaining that the app couldn't find the product they were scanning... There's a reason for this. It only finds companies that ARE cruelty-free. If the app did not find the company of the product that you scanned, it is because that company tests on animals. Their website might say they don't, but check for the loophole that says "unless authorities required it for human safety or regulatory purposes" or something similar. When they have stated that loophole, it means they still test on animals. I thought l'oreal was cruelty-free, but it didn't show up when I scanned my shampoo. I went to their website and found out they have the loophole stated in their animal testing statement. I learned something today, and I'll be looking for a different brand of shampoo and deodorant.
