The app is next to useless. While on the cruise most of the functions I was interested in did not work. Unable to see menus for the various venues, option to see the freestyle daily did not work, list of daily activities was blank, booked activities/reservations (other than shore excursions) did not display, and, worst of all, paying the $10 extra for messaging is a waste of money. Either messages never came through or were hours late, time info not available, often the sender showed incorrectly, and notifications never worked.
I rarely down rate something but this app was so frustrating.... We wanted to use it to chat, the chat feature only sometimes worked. The schedule would not update and the paper version delivered to our cabin was what we carried around. Booked something through the app, couldn't see the booking. Overall, NCL, love your cruises hate your app, grabage it and start over, get someone qualified and do it right.
This app is not working properly. Whenever I click to get more information about my upcoming cruise, I got a message saying that it is unable to load the page. When I click on the heart to see the excursions I favorited, I can't do anything. I click on the excursion and it's nothing. Nothing opens, I can't see details. It's like tapping on a picture. Please fix this!
You can't do anything in the app it's basically useless except for the map of the ship. It tells you you booked 3 activities for the day but doesn't tell you times. Can't change or make most reservations. Doesn't show daily activities. Does have an electric version of newsletter
App is poorly organized and it's difficult to find information. Messaging costs $10 per person and then only works while on the ship connected to the ships WiFi... Maybe. I had to constantly disconnect and reconnect to the WiFi to get it to work. Messages would often show up very late or not be delivered at all in both directions. In 2016 this was the performance and there is NO descernable improvement on the one I just took. If you're going to charge for something then IT SHOULD WORK.
While onboard unable to access the daily activities. It shows it but when you click on it, it doesn't open. Should be free to communicate with others onboard. Once onboard you can't view future bookings.
This coukd be a great app, but it only works for your next scheduled cruise. You should be able to search and book cruises and see them listed. It's ok when you're on the ship.
Norwegian Breakaway, Pearl, Getaway, and Dawn are the best cruise lines hands down clean✅️ friendly✅️ great excursions ✅️ safe✅️. I have cruised with multiple lines and Norwegian surpasses them all. I was offered a free Carnival cruise...you literally couldn't pay me to go on one again. Can't wait to try the Prima!
Still buggy, can sign on via website, but app does not recognize email address to sign on. Will not send email to update or reset password. Frustrating
I find this app to be well designed and easy to navigate. My wife and I have been cruising with Norwegian for over 10 years. I love this cruise line not sure what to expect being our 1st cruise since Covid-19. This being post COVID I hope our ability to enjoy ourselves is not hindered.
The app (and NCL in general) uses confusing terminology that makes it impossible to understand what I have already purchased. They make it clear that I can upgrade to a different package but there is no way to know what is different than what I am currently getting. I feel like this trip is going to cost more than advertised and offer less experiences.
This is truly the worst app I have ever used. I just wanted to be able to communicate with my family while on a cruise. We paid the $9.95 for the unlimited messaging and calling while on board , but the app continually gave error messages and disconnected from the wifi. None of the rest of my family was ever able to get theirs to work. This is useless and a total waste of money. I'm headed to guest services to get my money back for the messaging and this is only my second day on the cruise.
I have sign in to my NCL account on my PC so I know the login is correct. But through the app I receive wrong email or password message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, changed passwords on advice of ncl. None of those remedies work. I have just given up. We are new to NCL, hope this isn't a indication of more issues ahead.
It constantly asked me to load or try again on certain features in the app. I loved the real time updates such as if excursions were sold out.
Extremely difficult to connect. Definitely not user friendly. NCL should check out some other cruise companies to see great apps
The fact that it asks to run in the background and drain your battery life every single time it turns on until you give it permission is deeply frustrating. which is the reason I'm giving it a 3 star review. if I've chosen not to turn it on in the background it should accept that decision instead of constantly ask me to do so
Can't log in. You can request to get your username and a password reset, but that does not work either. This app is only good to practice installing and deleting items from your phone.
I installed this app less than 24 hours ago and I already hate it. Many links are broken, and others direct you to the wrong places. It is already one of the most infuriating apps that I have ever used, and because my enjoyment of my upcoming first-ever cruise depends on it, I'm on the verge of cancelling because of it. I shouldn't have to spend 30+ min to learn that the luggage tags are in the eDocs, only to find the link to download them doesn't download the eDocs or make them available.
can't actually do anything.. trying to add excursions to the cart for example.. each time says cart is empty.. all travelling buddies had same issue, we've had to phone the ncl support team 3 times each to sort things out instead!
The friendliest staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, and myriad of fun activities make this Norwegian cruise a dream come true! The restaurants are gorgeous and serve so many different types of food and drinks. The service is honestly the best part, the staff is so kind and efficient. I am loving my cruise and glad I chose Norwegian!
This app is extremely buggy, crashes often, and sometimes takes you twenty tries to get any function to work! It's non-intuitive as well. And for an extra insult they charge you 10 bucks for it! While you are on a thousands-of-dollars cruise! Update for developer: it's an Android, Samsung S20+ running the latest update. (Dec 2021). It crashes randomly. I am on the Epic to the Carribean and am connected to premium paid wifi.
Useful... Kind of! Before your cruise it's great. ON the ship works well... My issue is when you're on your cruise it doesn't work in ports like it would at home! Not useful when trying to remember dinner reservations or other times you may want to look up... Meaning, while on your cruise it only works on the ship and won't let you use it on ANY network... A port establishment WiFi or your own cell network!
We used this app for a large family group on the Bliss. It was glitchy, went up and down multiple times a day and messages were delayed. The app didn't work for some of our party. Plus you have to pay $9.95 for the privilege of using this crummy app.
Keeps saying my username and password is invalid, even though I am able to sign in through the web browser.
Very little offered with this app. The ability to communicate with fellow cruisers is the best feature and mostly the only practical function. Otherwise, the dining options do not include menus, there is no helpful calendar of events, there is no access to weather forecasts, there aren't even accurate hours of operation for the bars, dining rooms, etc. The app should be better developed in order to be more helpful.
Doesn't work at all. I can get to the login screen but then it just errors out repeatedly, stating "This page failed to load correctly." As this app is supposed to be your main communication and information tool onboard, it's highly aggravating that it doesn't work. It makes planning activities and excursions while onboard extremely difficult as you must go down in person to the desk which always has an extensive line. I can't speak to its functions as I can't log in.
