Cryptogram Cryptoquote Puzzle

I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of this substitution cipher game. Part of the trick is not in figuring out the frequency of individual letters. I may even pay for the additional versions, something I've never done before :) I really appreciate the lack of advertising and the breadth of subjects, and also the little biographies in the earlier puzzles. The only other thing Eggheads could do is to add black screen, as I find that more restful on my eyes.

Really enjoyed this but cant justify spending £2 on every level. Would be easier if when you have entered a wrong word that you can delete the whole word rather than a letter at a time and if you knew the subject of the puzzle would be helpful. Really did enjoy it though good way to kill time

Really, really great! There are lots of puzzle packs that you can buy at an extremely reasonable price; so far I haven't had to buy any as there are TONS of free puzzles to do. VERY challenging, which is good, but not so challenging as to be impossible. One of my favorite apps!!

So far I like it. Generally have to get at least one hint but you can maximize it by looking at the frequency in puzzle (good feature) . Wish there were more free puzzles. I would be okay with ads if it meant free puzzles ( which is why I gave it 4 stars- minimal free puzzles)

I love all kinds of puzzles and word games, but never cared much for cryptograms. Tried one again recently and liked it, so went shopping for an app. I downloaded three of them and this is the best of the three. Good user interface.

Enjoyable with increasing challenge. I haven't bought a level, but I'm considering it. Just wish I knew how many levels I get with each purchase. Depending on the answer, it may not be what I consider a good deal, having to pay for each level.

I play regularly on the Puzzle Baron Site on my PC , and this app is good too. The layout, responsiveness, "used letters" indication are all plus points. But, if you have a tablet PC one may as well play (on the go ) on the Puzzle Baron site ( for free) . This app would be good , if you could price it more competitvely . Suggestion: Make this app available on Facebook Games with in-app purchases. Sell virtual gold coins for hints , etc.

It's great!! I love the challenge of the game. It makes me think, look for patterns and when it's solved, it feels great!! Keep up the great work!! Anyone who likes to challenge themselves shoukd get this app!! 5 Stars!!

Consistently crashes my pixel 4a with the newest software update. I haven't been able to open the app at all without it crashing since I got my new phone last week, which is disappointing given how I enjoy playing on occasion.

I was really enjoying these until I found one (Euripides) I couldnt solve. When I hit the solve puzzle button, I saw why I couldnt solve it. The spelling was terrible! Still fun but please double check you puzzles for accuracy!!

I enjoy cryptogram puzzles. When I do one on paper, I always use a ballpoint pen. With this game, I can correct mistakes easily. Often, the quote is educational as well as entertaing.

Sufficiently challenging. Easy to learn to use. I like being able to change the order in which puzzles appear and to get hints if I need them.

Way too many in-app purchases (and I don't care for the "subscription" option). I personally find a lot of the quotes to be annoying. Otherwise a good game.

Too many crypto puzzles are spoiled by poor english. By using quotations this is largely avoided. Not being us many of the people are unkown to me eg baseball players. It might help to say who the peron is next to the name. Quotes by some modern people are of no interest to me. It would be good to skip some puzzles.

I have always liked cryptograms, cryptoquizzes and all. This is a great way to learn new quotes and their authors and often leads to learning more about them. Love it!

The game was working but since a recent security update I tap the game it attempts to launch and shutdown without ever launching. Can you fix this please. I really enjoy this game and the puzzling involved.

I have enjoyed these puzzles immensely. They provide some good challenges in that they often do not contain readily recognised or high frequency words. It is also rewarding to reveal profound, but not overly cited quotations.

This is the best cryptogram on the web. The puzzles are clear and clean. With a variety of difficulty. Love it. , love it

Addictive, but I wish there was a way to replay Unlimited puzzles, or at least browse them.

Very nice set up. Would like to see different types of games such as lists under a main category. And not so much of the famous people and their sayings. More current maybe celebrity sayings or just little stories.

Just like the paper version, but way more convenient and a bit more entertaining! I bought the subscription to support a great app!

Good interface. Auto letter distribution makes for a much different experience than pen and paper.

I love cryptograms and you can't find many games around. This game takes the cake. Just the right amount of hints and the quotes are never ending. Thanks for keeping this app out here!

Other crypto games I've liked dont limit or lock out other puzzle sets. Also would like to have better selection of authors & topics and fewer quotes from scarcely known and more with virtuous or relevant selections from celebrated authors.

Wonderful puzzles with great quotes. Have played continously for years without one conplaint. Truly a gem you ll want to keep. I rarely say that for sure.

Really fun to play! Would give it 5 stars if there were a way to scroll back through levels I've already solved just to read the cool quotes again.

I used to play games like this all the time when I was little on my Gram's computer. It was awesome finding this app & I haven't stopped playing since downloading it. ^-^
