So nostalgic, I love it! At first I thought the save wasn't working, but it turns out I was doing it wrong and you have to save through the app (3 dot menu), not through the start menu like on a game boy. So that was a user error. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way. Don't make the same mistake I did :-) Also as a note for the developer, maybe move the Reset button to the bottom of the menu, not right next to the Save State button. Otherwise the app is great and I can find no faults.
Name is misleading, it's Crystal version only (wrong name is only reason for 4/5 stars). Very true to the original GBA game. The emulator is straightforward and very easy to use. You aren't given the option to switch Pokemon in battle when your opponent does, but that's not a huge issue for me. Ads are minimal and not intrusive; one strip at the bottom of the screen and after you tap on the 3 dots. To save you use the Start menu like in original games, not the emulator's save button.
The game is almost perfect for me. I think a lot of the low star reviews are either old and the bugs have been fixed or theyre odd cases. The only issue I've come across is that i cant trade with my sister whom also has the app. If i CAN trade it would be really great to find out how and if not, that would be really cool to get implemented into the game.
The original game, no 'major' bugs. However I did find that every now and then the game would stop, buttons would become unavailable and it would either be the waiting game, or you had to click the broken button to unglitch the game. Overall, very nice, graphics are exactly the same as in the original and the game works nicely. Also why does the screen shot have these strange effects?
I love this game. However, every Other time I try to save it. It restarts back at the homepage again. I have to hit play and although it goes right back to where my fight was, it's annoying. ! If you fix this issue. I will Happily change my rating to five stars. Update on my previous review. This game is glitched. I was almost done with their whole Adventure. I was About to do the last Puzzle maze in the ice path but one of my blocks that I need to complete the Maze is not there.
Works really well, no bugs as of yet, is exactly like the gameboy color version! Only hitch is that it autosaves - which is nice, however if you want to go back you can't just shut the power off. Go to the menu and save it to a file and you can reopen the previous file. Otherwise fabulous!
This game is undoubtedly awesome. This games tracks your progress when you save it, I by mistake uninstalled it but when reinstalled, it was at same point where I left it. It usually checks your IQ (specially the ice cave part). It's a great adventure story I had played hacked versions before but it is the best, I'm kind of addicted. I know this kind of story requires hard work but please guys we want more games like this.😭 And one advice try to advertise it more for good reviews and ratings.
Wonderful throwback to Gameboy. It was nearly exactly the same as playing the original game. Few things: 1. Can only save through the dotted menu not the start menu. 2. Ads can be annoying but worth it for free game. 3. This is named wrong, it's only the crystal version, no silver version pokemon are in this. Still awesome & I recommend, I'm getting addicted to this game. Lol! Tip* the pokebag does show items, you just need to go to different parts of the bag. Use the left & right arrows. :)
I was born in 2003, I never had a playstation, an xbox, but I got a Wii midway through elementary school. I had this on the Gameboy Color though, and I loved it. Eventually it got old, the game got corrupted and I lost everything multiple times. But finally I can play it again, it's exactly how I remember it, the format, dialogue, everything. I'm loving it :)
This game is great! It works perfectly!!! Also if you want to save press the 3 dot button at the top of the screen. Anyway, i have a story to show with you. So I had a 3ds back then. My mom found this game for it. And I loved Pokémon. But since it was old I had my doubts. But when I started, I got addicted. WAY MORE FUN than newer games. But one day, I got a little mad at my 3ds and broke it by hitting it. I was so sad knowing I wouldn't be able to play. You guys have no idea how happy I am rn!!
I have zero problems with the game like other reviews have mentioned, ads remain at the bottom of my screen, no getting stuck on trees or poke tail cave, my main reason for 4/5, is the no mute option, I love the game, but the music gets repetitive and I'd love my music + Pokemon, And if I was being picky, the "Start" and "Select" buttons, with the gameboy layout youve provided, I expect to find them at the bottom, but that's a small thing I can happily live with, just please, a mute volume opt!!
This game is to good to the point where I don't have much to say to be honest , first it feels like a Pokemon game and everything Is super smooth , also this may sound a bit like a compliant but it's not I would like more things just like this master piece and by that I mean I would like to see more fan favourites like this like diamond and pearl or ruby and sapphire.
Loved this game before it updated. Now I can't get to preferences without the game shutting down over and over. Also the ads in the way of the talk bubbles are a bit annoying. There should be a better spot since I can't fix it with the preferences (if I can even who knows it doesn't open).
I love this game. Its not an emulator so you do not need to download the game . But there are some bugs for example i open cheats and done the thing and gone back to the game then it started controling by itself and then i switched it of and opened it again then the game crashed. I open it again then it was ok . .... but please fix it if you want 5 stars. Thankyou
I love it. I have two problems with this though, one is that you can't trade. The other is a glitch I ran into where some people and berry trees will turn brown and you are provented from going near them. I can't get through the fourth gym and some guy is in my way. I might have to give up but I had a great time playing!
I love it. I know u guys have not made the game but it has flodded me with nostalgia. I used to play it all day long. My only problem are the ads. I think u guys should fix it as i think there were no ads when i was a child. I tried to install a gbc emulator and crystal rom due to the ads but i did not feel the nostalgia in them. My only problem are the ads.
The game is alright but a certain gentleman in the lighthouse is battling me over and over in the same place, like after I beat him he wants to battle again straight after and I can't move to prevent it meaning he battles me over and over until my pokèmon die and then it's a continuous loop from there. Overall, amazing game but could you fix some a glitch or two such as the one I just mentioned, the random blocks that appear and the random movement of npcs and trainers. Thanks again.
This game worked great for me until now. Now it keeps crashing almost as soon as I start it up and sends me back to previous saves. Since it crashes so quickly, it's nearly impossible to play or make any progress anymore.
I really liked the game, but the thing that really ticked me off is that when you save it always puts you to after you lose a battle and I can't do anything. But I also hate it when it didn't overwrite my save copy and it restarted me to the BEGINNING! I spent a long time on it and that was the last straw. But, If you don't mind that kind of stuff, have fun.
Pretty good, but the clicking settings causes the app to go back to the starting screen so I cant change the volume which really does affect my ability to play the game. Sometimes I just want to nuzlocke while listening to music or podcasts.
The game was good 👍 but the controls were Abit sluggish and something moved on it's own without me pushing the button down. The controls take while to getting used to other than that good Pokemon crystal emulator just like how I remember back when I was a kid in middle school until someone stole my game😭. Rip Pokemon crystal 2001-2002 only had it for a year.
Wow. This is amazing. It brings back so many memories... This is such a good game. Sure the graphics suck, sure this controls are weird, but the game itself is so good! I wish game developers these days would focus on the actual game, not the way it looks. I haven't played very much of it, but so far, it is bringing tears toy eyes. Thank you for this game, even if it isn't original.
Overall, this is a great game. I just have one problem which is that if you have no way to load your progress back if you saved it in game if you load it by clicking the three dots on the side. Lost 18 hours of progress because of this.
No ads unless your connected to the internet.and even then it's not bad. You only get add if you open up the app save and not the in game save .10/10 really enjoying myself. Also some cheats work on the simulator, not all. Which is a great aspect of you just want to play the storyline
It brings me back to the old gamboy color days. Silver/Gold/Crystal. The only downfall you can't trade. Unless I'm doing something wrong. Only thing i can think of is bluetooth related. But other than that. It brings me back to the old days. Thank you for giving me the opritunity to play an epic game from my past and a game we all know and love. I would love to see more pokemon games from you guys. 😊
The game is ok, until you get to azalen town and it automatically saves your state than when you try to proceed, it automatically resets you to the saved state and you have to redo everything you previously did. So frustrating, had to uninstall.
Totally brought back memories from playing the game on a gameboy when I was a kid. Best thing now is its on your phone. 🙂 The only problem i had is the location of the controls. Gets very uncomfortable and unresponsive if you play this for a long time.
Controls suck. Major bugs. Won't respond promptly when taped. Have to hit it many times before a response is given. Also super slow and graphics suck. Uninstalled not even after 10 minutes. The controls don't even function and most of the time don't respond. Couldn't get past name entry phase. If your app is working don't publish it. It's fraudulent misrepresentation and is actionable in a court of law.
Really good game for pokemon Crystal or silver but there is a problem. And it is that when going to settings/perfences it says that the app has stopped working. The reason I point I say this is that I like to listen to my music so I like to more the game so I can listen to music more over then the game's sounds.
This game is my favorite, it brings back many good memories. The graphics and sounds are exactly the same. This one is the crystal version so some parts of the game are different compared to gold and silver however. The good thing is that you can save multiple times and load each state separately which is something you could never do on gameboy and the button layout is simple just like gameboy. The only downfall are the ads but none intrusive. Airplane mode helps with that. I'm very happy 😊
