CSB Study App

First of all, the CSB is a great translation. It's a readable, word-for-word translation that any modern English speaker will enjoy and greatly benefit from reading consistently. The app helps by offering smooth navigation and access to a bevy of extra features like study notes, maps, articles, and reading plans. For me, I appreciate how footnotes and cross references are handled. You can see the note or cross reference without leaving your original spot. It's a great app. Worth the cost.

This app is the best of the Bible apps I've used. I find the text set on the off-white background very easy to read and with a swipe you can easily move between chapters. It comes with a daily verse presented attractively with a photo and easily links to the chapter in the Bible to read it in context. And while there are advertisements I've found them quite unobtrusive.

I am very impressed with this translation of the Bible and with this app. I was looking for a free or low cost audio app that doesn't use much data, and am so happy to have found this! The recorded reading uses quite a lot of data, and is so nice. But for my very low income friends here, the high quality and lower quality TTS (electronic) options are just ideal. They are beautifully clear and can help these folk who are trying to improve their limited English, and receive spiritual help.

I love the app. I would love to be able to highlight individual words/phrases, not the whole verse. I really wish the highlights, red letters, etc would transfer into the notes when copied. I take sermon notes and have to add extra into the scripture to emphasize words, note when it's Jesus talking, etc. It would also be nice to be able to copy the subject headlines of scripture passages. I do love the app, tho!

Very nice app, easy to navigate and doesn't get in the way of reading the scripture. If I could change one thing it would be the font (or adjust the background color) of the wheel selector. The red/blue is a bit sharp on the silver background. This is pretty minor though and doesn't impact function.

I've used a number of Bible Apps but this one is the absolute best for numerous reasons. Beautiful appearance, loaded with maps and the most pleasing voice in the audible mode. I purchased the Study Bible portion to make this app complete. I would appreciate notification of future updates. etc., and I volunteer to review or test any or all of them. Thank you for providing Bible readers with a most helpful app for Android phones and tablets! This old 77 year old man is excited over this!

I love the CSB Bible it is a dynamic interpretation of the the Greek and Hebrew scriptures. 👑 The best form of interpretation without the convolution of Latin interpretation involved. The pictures are warming in context to the daily scriptures the perfect way to start or end any and everyday. 🎯I keep this app on the 1st page of my phone For daily use. It would be wonderful to have a evening scripture verse to continue morning and "ADD" mid-day and evening devotion. 🥰🌞

It will be nice if the choices of colour selection for the highlight of verses can include pastel colours. The basic colours may be a little too strong that takes away the attention of the words. Overall a great app to use to help in the reading of God's word. Updated 17 Nov 2021. Been using the app for 3 years now. Comments remains the same. Highlighted colours on white background remains strong which covers the words.

Great app for Bible study. Very easy to get around in once you know how. I think the previous way to get to Bible verses was easier than the way it is now since the update... really not a fan of the current search system. But I do love the ability to take notes during sermons.

Very easy translation in very simple English. Neat format, each verse starts on a new line. Words spoken by Jesus are in red. There are pages of useful commentaries, explanations and definitions. This is an all round excellent, easy to read and use Bible, well put together for everybody interested in, and in love with, God's word. I recommend it.

Attractive format with many helpful study aids, including color photos and illustrations. The app is easy to navigate and is helpful for even the most serious student of God's Word. The CSB translation is smooth and easy to understand.

Great app! well designed especially for tabets where you can view the commentary side by side with the text. You can also view multiple commentaries in a single app which is great. I'd recommend the Spurgeon and regular CSB study bible. The CSB Study Bible has a lot of helpful cross references, notes for every verse, and maps. I can't emphasize enough how intuitive this app is, just fantastic. This is also a great translation, very readable, probably my favorite for reading chapters at a time.

I liked this app when it worked. The last update about a month or so ago broke the app and now it closes within 2 seconds of opening, so it is unusable. Sad... The most recent version update is what broke my app. Since then... A developer reached out to me and told me to try and clear my cache and clear my data. That did the trick! I am up and reading again. Thanks guys!

This is my favorite translation and Bible app thus far. The tools for highlighting are perfect. You can highlight key parts of a vers that you want without having to highlight the whole verse.

Love how you can take notes and see where each note is while reading through the Bible. Also having the study notes next to the Bible as you scroll up and download is a great feature. Overall, just a great app.

Love the layout, default commentary is great, and the few others I briefly looked at are good too. Wish the audio bible didn't take as much space, and that it allowed for adjustable speed, but otherwise it's good. Overall, if someone likes the CSB Bible, this app if for them. I will for sure recommend it.

CSB Study App is a beautifully presented way to read this version of the Bible. The reminders are like a verse of the day that gets you into a well known Bible chapter each time. When you have several Bible apps pleading with you to read them it's easy to turn off notifications as some try to guilt trip you into reading them, unaware that you have other Bibles, but this one is not like that.

Easy to use. Great reminders available for daily verse and just a reminder to take a time out and read The Word. Easy to bookmark, highlight and categorize for study later. I use it to share scripture with others using their share button. I can send it through text easily. Excellent and CSB is the translation my church is using so I can follow along easily.

App has more to it than I was expecting. Excellent translation, great study tools, I love the verse of the day feature with beautiful pictures, and the narrated voice is excellent for reading along while listening. This app is truly a treasure. Thanks for creating it!

I Love this bible app because of the ease of use and its concordance. It simply makes studying enjoyable. It allows me to switch between my phone, computer or iPad seamlessly and my notes and highlights are right there. I can be buried into a world of enjoying bible reading with meaningfulness. I hope everyone experiences this amazing thing.

I wish you wouldn't force full screen. It make is much harder to multi-task now that I don't have an option. (reply to response) I know HOW to exit full screen mode. I don't WANT full screen at all. I want to see the clock and be able to quickly (one button) switch between apps.

I've downed and used many Bible apps in the past. However, When it comes to the apps overall accuracy to The Word With aids, Devotionals, Maps, etc., Only one other app here in the Play Store Equates with this amazing app. Yet, This app goes one step further than the rest. Scriptural cross - references in plain English For deeper study while Enhancing your knowledge of The Word. Encouraging you towards a deeper relationship with God Through His Son, Jesus Christ. Down this app IMMEDIATELY!

I own OliveTree and many references, commentaries, dictionaries, and this is by far my favorite application because of the audio that accompanies the passage I'm reading. Simplistic user interface with an easy to the eyes formul for making me read.longer without turning out. Great app.

Very nicely done app. It is well worth having as it is the smoothest and most well done Bible app I have seen including several I have tried. Very fast and includes such excellent maps charts and notes, as well as intros to book. This is a keeper!!

An excellent App for an excellent new Bible translation version. Great new alternative to NIV and ESV which I also use often. However, in my opinion this App is my favourite at the moment. Full offline reading of the whole CSB and also Audio. Auto syncing/cloud backup of your personal notes/highlights/bookmarks etc by creating a Tecarta account online. Highly recommended!

Most user friendly Bible app I've ever used. Love the simple "scroll to read" and "swipe to next chapter" functions. Great highlighting abilities; and, search is so intuitive! CSB is a GREAT modern translation that honors the original language by putting it into language that is understandable...and this app delivers it! Love!!!

Great Translation but hard to highlight verses. Maybe it's just me, but I've given up on trying to figure out how to do it. Nothing I do seems to work. I still like this app for the daily verses and the translation though, so I'm pretty happy with it. For my in depth reading, I still use YouVersion bible app. I like having both.
