CTV News Calgary Weather

There is a lot of little glitches that are annoying but I can ignore. But the forecast videos don't work unless I get a notification and click it. Sometimes I get 5 of the same notification in a few minutes sometimes none at all. Inside the app it's just a dark screen if I choose a video. I do snow removal so it's hard to plan the day when the information in the app is either vague or completely wrong and the only reliable info I only have access some of the time.

I used to love this app, but within the last year, the weather never shows up on the widget and rarely shows up within the app. When I open the app nothing is ever there. Sometimes it decides to show up after about 40 seconds or so. Too time consuming.

I don't know if this is normal or a glitch but when there is a severe weather situation like high winds i get about 30 alerts back to back as i clear them off it reappears. I get it, its windy! Also recently David's recorded voice has been speaking from my phone when i havent even been looking at it or in the app. I do not like that at ALL.

WAY too glitchy to be useful. Screen freezes often when clicking a notification. Videos start at random without prompt. And the weather forecasters are WAY too loud even with my phone volume low, like as if the mic is way too close. Too bad, used to be good. Uninstalled.

App crashes when I open it. Just dosent work at all. Ive uninstalled it an reinstalled it and it's still dosent work. And seeing that creepy guys face also freaks me out every time I open the app. Seems like the developers forgot about this app since it only has 10k downloads. Better off using Google weather much more accurate

It was a great weather app and weather widget, but it seems CTV has canceled it, even though the new CTV news app doesn't have a widget of any kind for the home screen. Why cancel a good app, instead of just adding a new one?

It's hard to know which is correct between the 10 day forecast and the detail. Today for example there's a 7 degree difference in temperature between the two. That's significant.

no way to turn off alerts thought my phone had been hacked. David Spence announces if there are emergency weather alerts. even when I'm on a call with my headset. deleted it because of this.

Works great, except that the text for weather warnings disappear when you try to read them.

App doesn't work. Is it still supported? If not please remove it from Google Play.

Lately the app keeps sending the video forecast over & over. Gets tiring after a while

Excellence, the best weather information. David Spence has always been fantastic.I will miss him in retirement.

I used to really like this app, but it has recently gone into notification spamming. I am tired of hearing "A new station alert has arrived" 5-6 times in a row within 5 minutes. I have to lower the rating for this. And whenever I dismiss the notification, it comes back!! Way too spammy now. Had to uninstall it.

I would of liked it better if it didn't send you the same message multiple times in a short span. If you don't mind hearing David Spence at 5 am it's a good app but driving me batty with the constant reminder/alerts

Overall, this app works well on my Samsung Galaxy III. It has a relatively clean look, loads quickly, includes interesting factoids (moon phase, sunrise & sunset times, UV index, etc.) and doesn't push too many annoying ads. However, this summer has been unusually smoky in AB and, unfortunately, this app (or any of the others I've tried) doesn't include air quality advisories or statements, even though they are issued by Environment Canada (couldn't find an app from them). I understand these are not alerts but perhaps there could be some way to capture this information in future app versions. Thanks for a helpful app :)

This app is wrong 99% of the time (32 degrees at 3am? No...). Says there is lightning in my area when the sky is crystal clear. Says the temp is 8-10 degrees warmer than it really is. This could be an amazing app if it was accurate.
