Seeing the bad reviews had me concerned. However, read installation instructions thoroughly. Complete Genset installation including Ethernet cable to router and add power to Genset. Next, complete registration with your computer browser. When that's complete, install app as I had no problems whatsoever. Everything works great! (I hope this helps someone.)

It won't send me a code via email, as it reads it will in my cellphone app, to update my password to use the cellphone app. There is no option to send it to my cellphone so I can't try that way either. I can open it on my pc because the original pw is embedded. A 2 person crew was sent to my house, arriving hours earlier than scheduled, to re-connect to new wifi I had to install (a connector to my wifi in that area) after the generator install. They could not help get the app to communicate using my cellphone and when I need that password, I will not be able to find is since it is a series of dots still functional on my pc. As far as I know, the generator works fine. I can currently, since this appointment, see the details using my pc.

This app is so primative it is unreal. Also, Be aware that if you attempt to name a generator (ie if you have 2) , they will revert back and only say "Genset". Beyond that, the app doesnt not show network disconnection when obviously disconnected... but instead shows old data hours etc, which leads you to believe everything is OK, when it is not! Not at all impressed - which is unfortunate, because the 20kw generator has been pretty good itself.

I am downgrading the rating from two stars to one star. I would give it no stars if I could. The app sucks and is for the most part useless. It has potential, but evidently the designer has no idea of how the generator operates. So many things wrong. It would appear that whoever designed the app did so with NO oversight and NO verification that it actually works. I have complained previously, and no one contacts me. Evidently not a concern for Cummins.

Latest update crashes immediately. The contact email in the app is incorrect (as per telephone support) so you never get a reply to any questions. Generator name constantly get reset to "Genset". You can't see the current exercise schedule, Last exercise data usually shows "not available" even though the Event log shows an exercise completion. It's not just the app with problems, cloud website also. Until Cummings gets their act together, don't waste your time (or money) hooking to cloud

I actually liked this app until the "Summer Update" as they called it, now if you click on the "Exercise" tab, the app crashes completely and the push notifications still do not work! Get It Together!!

2Sep21 update - no changes in functionality and still totally inadequate for the intended purpose. Confirms Cummins disregard for their commercial customers. The information available is rediculous. Notifications are time stamped when received, not when they occur. I works be glad to pay for something that works like it's 2021....

Dont waste your money on this App. It cost $175 and it crashes and disconnects more than it works. The generator still works without the app. Generac does not have this app and still works. Major waste of money. Update: February 16, 2020 We bought another house and had a Cummins Stand alone generator installed. The local company that installed the generator is bar none, the best around. However, whoever made the app has no knowledge of making apps. It STILL doesn't work and hasn't since 11/19.

Keeps crashing when you click "exercise". also does not give me notifications anymore.

Latest update won't run on my phone, it just quits right after starting. Cummins should stick to diesel engines, as their generator and it's software are not very good.

This app is junk. Constantly crashes while attempting to open. Should have bought a Generac!

The app stopped working for me a couple months back. Crashes every time I want to open

Great app. Had no problem with it. Has a lot of useful info about my generator

Connect Cloud doesn't work at all. Even though my generator is online, and I can ping it, in no instance after I have added it to my Connect Cloud account, does it show up in my list of generators. The only response from Cummins Tech support is "hang up the phone now so our call times stay low, and email us", and emails go universally unanswered. I never thought I would say this, but Cummins doesn't even have the courtesy to install a bot which responds with a "we have received your email, and feel contempt for you, our customer". Connect Cloud is pure marketing, if you want any level of remote control of your generator, you'll have to buy a different make.

When the power is off so is the communication with my Generator. This is because my ISP does not have a backup generator (a business opportunity for your Company...). I believe that your generators should all come with GPRS Communications so that a customer knows when the power is off and that their generator has started. This is even more of a problem for me at the moment since we are travelling and the Eaton Switch that automatically switches on the Generator is not working and has not been for over 2 weeks due to a lack of replacement parts. Not the fault of Cummins but all the more reason why we need to know when the power is off. My Superior Propane Tank has a GPRS link that tells me my Propane level 24/7 - why can't my Cummins Generator?

Everyone's right. This app sucks. Cummins should be ashamed..
