I have been using the Currant switches for quite some time, and until recently, was pretty happy with them, but capturing historical usage data has become impossibly slow recently. I contacted the developer for guidance or help, and have not received a reply. My sense of the status now is that the product has been abandoned, with apparently no ongoing support. I am currently looking for replacement devices that will do the job for me.
It looks like the company went out of business and didn't even bother to inform their customers. You can still remotely monitor the current usage and turn the switches on and off but the entire reason I purchased this was to be able to monitor usage over time. It appears that they built that functionality into their own services instead of setting it up so that it say, log that usage locally or in my Google drive account. So now it's just a fancy light switch.
The app works for letting you turn outlets on and off, but the rules don't seem to work. They do what they're supposed to about 1/10th of the time. It also doesn't correctly show usage history. It shows real-time usage, but history is blank on half of my outlets.
I purchased the Bluetooth outlet for my house. We do not have WiFi where we live and just wanted something to turn the lights off with out getting out of bed. We are still trying to figure out how to just tell our phone to turn it off. I noticed the ratings were low for this app. I love it and want to support the company. Thanks for a great item.
Finally bought into this because of price drops. I'm very interested in energy usage for two outlets in my home. Setup was simple, app is fine, I'm sure will improve over time. Hardware itself seems good. I'm going to be running some heavy loads (within specs) so will see how they hold up over time.
Not super intuitive. Most of the functionality is broken. Cannot modify core configuration like WiFi network after initial setup. Two stars only because it kinda works a little.
the app won't let me change or delete any of my own rules. It tells me I'm unauthorized. I'm the only person using the app so I'm not quite sure whose authorization is superceding mine. Not much use if I can't use any of the features I purchased the product for. I'll be leaving a negative review on Amazon as well.
Horrible app can't link to the Currant account server or drive the outlets that app is supposed to control. The units are way over priced. There are many other choices that are cheaper and smaller.
Received this as a giveaway in a corporate event. Compared to Kasa, this is horrible software. Not especially intuitive and inflexible once configured.
Ot works great for what I bought it for but the rules don't seem to toggling the power like it's programmed to and the usage doesn't always show up.
Can you add a feature to download power usage history? Why does it take 30 seconds to show any day's electricity usage? Terribly slow app.
$200 in Smart Outlets and I can't get the app to work, they're pretty much worthless without a functioning app. Samsung S20±
they should give the hardware away for free, they are only interested in your information which they fully intend to sell. read their privacy policy carefully.
It used to work great and I was happy with the product but now I can't even login to the app it just keeps timing out.
App is clunky but the ability to control and see your power is amazing.

Loved the Devices until I was not able to monitor my usage over time, I want my money back Jeff Bezos.
So far so good but, with Energy Deregulation, my Electricity Provider (Con Edison)charges Me 11.5370 per KwH and the Other Company (Ambit) charges 8.3 per KwH. The App does not let me input this with the current decimal configuration the App.. Will there be an Update in Future where I can Add Con Edison as Electricity Deliverer and Ambit as ESCO Supplier???? The App has Con Edison as 0.263 when it is in reality 11.5370 after a 3 year price hike by the Company. Please Update..
Company no longer exists, and the device is e-waste now
I genuinely liked the design of the outlet, but I've had a problem with the top outlet where it turns itself back on after I turn it off. This happens whether I'm using the app or the Google Home app or my voice with Google. Contacted support and they didn't bother reading my detailed description before replying "Is it possible you’re double-tapping the switch, or dragging it with your finger?" I guess that's possible when I use my voice too right? It's been 3 days with no response.
