Used to be excellent. I have used CD for many years with no problem but now when I open the app it says an error has occurred. When it finally opened it said I was using an old version and needed to update before continuing. I have the latest version and auto update selected so I cannot update the app so now I cannot transfer money. I suppose I will have to use XE!
App does not work for me. Input e-mail to log-in( as a registered customer) get message re 'magic link' and nothing happens!! I notice other comments have similar experience. Cant be doing with phoning up and going to the Office every time especially during the current crisis! Despite comments from developers saying the previous problems are fixed...they obviously aren't!!!
Good company for fx. App is annoying as if it's already open in the background it crashes when I reopen it. Have to close it down each time. This is annoying when watching a rate and opening it regularly.
Great service provided for sending money to friends in continental Europe. Initial security checks are thorough, so mildly frustrating, but ultimately appreciated. No usage issues and setting up a mixture of single and regular payments has been easy using IBAN. Thanks.
If I could give this team ten stars I would....they've been great, all round, but especially the team over in Spain. Well done to Jayne and Co. In Tenerife. Most responsive, most helpful and very knowledgeable. I can't recommend them enough. The company experience as a whole is extremely positive and the human customer service is why I'll use them again. One quick note for the company though, if you had a Debit Card on offer that would put you leagues ahead of your competitors.

WARNING: On confirmation page. When your happy with a rate, and press to transfer, and have chosen your benificiary, on the next page its says 'CONFIRMATION'. This is NOT a confirmation of transaction its 'TO CONFIRM'. What makes it worse is the 'CONFIRM AND PAY' Button is NOT IN PLAIN SIGHT ON THAT SCREEN. Instead you have to scroll down OFF THE PAGE, to see the button. The page has no 'SCROLL DOWN' text, you wont realise its there. No confirm, no deal. Oh and the margin is about 30 points atm
Just registered and processed a transfer on the website. Then I open the app and it tells me it can't find an account linked to my email address. Useless to me.
Transfers are extremely fast no hassle. except sometimes app struggles to open up. But otherwise my experience with currencies direct have been really smooth.
Well, now I need to send £5000.00 to Spain and the app tells me it needs an update, when I tap on to update nothing happens. Glad Currency fair is there to make the transfer for me 😡 I'm sure it'll be resolved but it keeps telling mioe it's sending a pin number but nothing arrives.
Currencies Direct is a very good company. The app has limited functionality compared to the web site, but for making transfers and checking their progress it works well.
Excellent and trustworthy service; I have now made several transactions, some of large value over a period of 18 months. Always get the best rates and money goes to my account abroad without a hitch. Highly recommended.

Waste of time useless app
Very poor. A registered customer. I downloaded the app, used email to get the "magic link" Not so magic! Message pops up stating there is s problem! Is that because I don't believe in magic CD?
I really liked the service, customer care was very helpful. The exchange rate was also competitive. Very reliable and trustworthy. Much cheaper than a bank trasfer.
If you have multiple recipients you can't identify them when buying currency, so have to add to balance and share out after CD receives you payment. Would be quicker in one session if you could see recipients account number in app.
I have three currency apps and always check rates with each of them . The last twice CD have been the BEST rate by a few cents. Remember the more you transfer the better the rate so try £510 instead of 500 etc and you might creep into their next band.
This new App is rubbish. it takes ages to log in and constantly freezes. Bring back the older version.
The new app constantly crashed on my phone so I cannot use it. Handy to have local offices available but I now use a other company that always offer at least 1c more to the euro ...on either small or large transfers Currencies Direct is not the best exchange rate by far
Once all setup, it is very easy to use app. You can transfer money from your card or by bank transfer. Customer service is great too.
i've used this app several times now and it is so convenient. simple to use and hassle free. a massive boost for casual users who need to buy currency and despatch it abroad.
I don't why but it doesn't work at all. I can't even log in, says incorrect email or password. I can use only your site where I log in without any issues.

Excellent app, just one part of a thoroughly excellent service. 12 years of being a customer and I've never had a problem that was caused by Currencies Direct. Evrrything they do is fast and friendly and error free. (For people overseas, VERIFIEDBYVISA (a VISA service) adds an additional verification after and independent of this app and Currencies Direct. It sends an unreliable international SMS that can fail to arrive. If this happens, email Currencies Direct who will help quickly.)
