Money is deposited very quick and is a good banking app. It also tells you when a charge posted and gives you exact locations on when charges happen. However, they charge a $9 monthly fee for premium service then an unsolicited $5 charge to the primary card you used to sign up with. Which is also stated to be a subscription service charge. Although it is mentioned nowhere within current. Getting my account canceled. 😞 2 stars.

This app is a great starting out for someone that either can't get a bank account or if you want to use a different account for your subscriptions so they don't overdraw your regular bank account or whatever you need for simple banking features. It is supported by plan so it can easily be connected to most websites for instance and verification has direct deposit all that and I believe they have only free accounts now they used to have one that cost $4.99 so that saved a lot of us a few bucks.

I get that as a newer bank there are going to be bugs. What I find frustrating is not having my questions answered (usually outright ignored) and constantly being told to reinstall the app to make it work (spoiler: it never worked). Their customer service was prompt and seemed nice, but also severely under trained—when I decided to close the account I was told I could not do it through the app, but I could use email or chat (which is through the app). There are not enough characters to finish.

Canceled immediately!! ZERO stars! This was the most frustrating and complicated acct creation I have ever been through. The necessary information needed is not transparent and in the end became deceptive in nature. Because my son does not have a phone number (rare, I know) i could not create a child account. Then I could not do a direct deposit without upgrading to a separate account. That's not what I wanted or was advertised. I spent hours on this.

Not only is this app just as easy to use as my other if not better. The use of the tap and pay feature makes check out faster easier than having to go through the time consuming use of a chip reader which often times requires repeated attempts before approval. With 3 savings pods available with a higher rate of interest than any bank accomplishing long term as well as short term savings goals and creating an emergency cash reserve for the unexpected surprises in life. I've had a great experience with current. I see many reviews mentioning poor customer service, but that has not been my experience. Having my paycheck 2 days faster is awesome, and they are the only bank I know of that doesn't kill you on overdraft fees (in fact, they'll cover it for free up to $200). Really satisfied with how the app looks too, it's eye candy. 10/10 would recommend!

It's an awesome and easy-to-use bank, I like it more than I thought I would. I never had a purely online bank account before this so I was pleasantly surprised by the nice look of the app and card as well as the simplicity of its use. However, it sucks that you can't do money transfers with anyone you know unless they also have current, which is ok by me, I guess, since I don't do that too much.

Would give zero stars if I could. False advertising both before downloading and while using the app. Mobile check deposits do not post within quoted time frame. Customer service is almost nonexistent, they only give cookie cutter answers, don't try to fix the issues, then hang up the chat. Had this happen twice and have yet to get a real solution. As soon as my money clears I'll be withdrawing and closing my account.

I am happy to say I am turning my 1 star review into a 5 star. They fixed the initial activation issues the next day I wrote the review but I waited to see if my direct deposit worked as some people had issues. Well it did and it arrived on Thursday afternoon instead of Friday. I can say the savings pods and app features are amazing. The colors are hard to parse in the app, it's confusing to find what you're looking for since it's buried in menus. Once you figure it out though, this is a must.

Very user-friendly app and transactions have been smooth, efficient & professional. I had an issue with a merchant in regards to a pending bill payment placed on temp hold. I spoke to customer service from this app & they responded quickly & were professional. Customer service rep made it easy for me to learn why sometimes, a temp hold will be placed on a payment. 🤑

Current needs REAL customer service/support. When your app doesn't work properly/instantly? Also the point rewards shouldnt have to be activated in order to be recieved. Since the location must be on at all times with this app if you make a purchase at a location that has a offer on current you should get that offer automatically! Honestly who is going on the app and basing there shopping needs gas station or where you wanna eat from on the offers available?

Horrible... Started out great, I definitely enjoyed it. Then, out of nowhere my card was suspended while trying to transfer money between my bank card and current. There was no explanation as to why and when I called the number on the back of the card an automated voice stated my card was under review and someone will be reaching out soon. It's been several months and so far I have heard nothing. I also have money still on my current card that I can't use or withdraw. Don't waste you time.

Once would have rated 4-5 stats, but have had 2 major incidents that completely lost my trust with this app. I have reason to believe that privacy and data protection is nonexistent. Customer service is absolute garbage as each incident left me to find my own resources to resolve any problem. Only time I got honest response from CS was when I tried to end my service, and they tried everything in their power to keep me involved. Legal action was required to get disputes resolved. Never again.

It took me four years for them to up me $50 on my overdraft of consistent direct deposits every single month I only got a $50 overdraft and on top of it they don't even allow you to use your own money that you're borrowing as cash you cannot access the cash you can only use it as credit which is not right because they receive your check before you receive it and get their money back before you can even access it so they should allow you to use that as cash also the ATM fees are ridiculously high

They have only regular and teen accounts. No monthly or annual fee which is great. This is basically a savings account for $6000 because of the 4% apy. Debit card and it's features don't look that attractive. I denied permission for 24/7 gps location access. the 15x points on local store and purchases are the same ones you'll find else where on other apps. Once in a while there are good offers, but not near me. Will use this not as a primary bank, but as my savings

out of all these type of services I've opted to use this one by far is the most user friendly, everything is right there and easy to find the site design and colors are very good and go together perfectly and actually makes it sorta exciting to search through all the options and services. I enjoyed my experiences so far and I haven't even got to load any money or do any transactions but I can already tell I'm gonna enjoy it and get money circulating and increasing in no time at all. thanks

Finally found a mobile bank that hit all the checkmarks...until I got a new phone and all My login information disappeared and so did my account! *took over a week to fix. Never updated my phone number, couldn't add my virtual card without calling. If you are an independent contractor (or drive for the leading delivery and shopping companies) this place is not for you. Over $900 in Direct deposit monies and they don't uphold THEIR part of holding agreements.

Honestly LOVE LOVE LOVE my Current Card!! App easy 2 use-adding cash w barcode is convenient especially when I need someone else to do it for me- help is also a chat away-and getting points that can turn into cash gives breathing room on the back end.. And now 4% interest in savings pods helps me manage money and save money better than ever before!! ONLY issue I can see is no mobile banking online so I phone dies you can't log in anywhere else.. not a major issue but can be inconvenient at times

Received a generic failure error when trying to add a checking account via plaid, plaid authenticates with no issues. Support was unhelpful on both chat and email telling me my information doesn't match when it does, having me reinstall and recommend trying a different bank for a funding source. Closing account.

VERY disappointed in this banking app. I would definitely recommend Chime Bank. I disputed a $74 charge from a company I had never heard of before. They denied my dispute. I contacted them using the app chat feature because that is the only way to get through to anyone and they said that because I had already filed a dispute I could not dispute the charge again. After repeatedly telling them I did not authorize this charge the only thing I was offered was an email from someone

Inconvenient Application that needs to be improved. You are only allowed to sign in using using a mobile number and the application will log you out of your account if your out of the country. I was kicked out of my account and I've been unable to sign in, because it requires text message verification. The area I'm visiting has no mobile reception and now I have no way of accessing my account even with a WiFi connection.

I was able to link my Venmo account and accept a payment, which was then transferred into my new Current account. However, since then I've tried repeatedly to connect my bank and the last step fails everytime. I have contacted Current support so many times and they have told me to contact my bank, uninstall and reinstall the app, etc. The last lady pretty much told me it was sad I was having difficulty, to make sure my name is on my other bank account and then ended the chat! I'm done

Had current for about a year and a half. Used to be good but went from 2 days early pay down to one which I understand happens but starting to think that the extra overdraft that they offer up to 200 doesn't really exist. Haven't been passed 75 after depositing multiple 1000 dollar checks over a year and a half.

so far Current seems to have a lot of upsides. It seems pretty straightforward with easy to access features. problems. 1.online visa payments seem complicated. 2. I gotta go to a local Walgreens to deposit cash and it has a 500$ limit. multiple deposits not allowed. overall I am satisfied with this platform and you can tell this company wants to put the power in your hands to take control of your money and better your life. I'd recommend using it as a second card to help manage your cash.

Changed my rating. This app can't even do an API right. You can connect external accounts, PayPal, etc. and pay into Current, but (currently) you cannot link out to ANY bank. Sickomode. I know Plaid can connect the other way with no issue, because I also have an Atmos account and linked to Current through Plaid with no issue. This review will remain at 1 Star until this simple code that Plaid uses is resolved. You don't even allow PayPal, that's so sad.

Tech support desperately needs to be upgraded, as well as the support hotline.. it took ages just to speak with someone via phone call, and I wasn't even able to resolve my issue after I finished the call.. I believe it took quite some time but I eventually resorted to emailing members of the Current team. My only gripe is the lack of support overall. I didn't know where or who to try to contact etc. etc.

I wish that I can give them 0 stars. They have horrible customer service to start this off. I am getting people reading scripts that are not sympathetic. Secondly I deposited money from my other bank during their time frame. I was told my deposit would take 1-2 days to complete its false advertisement. Then it turned to 3-5 business days, and now on the 5th business day it one more day. Dates are changing & my bills aren't waiting. I wouldn't recommend anybody banking with them.

I was reading the reviews on adding cash on my card and everyone said it was real simple and easy to do.And that the money is in your account right away. I went to a Kwik Trip by my house told the cashier how much money I want put onto my card. I went on the current app tapped add cash and view varicose they scan it. And give it taje a few seconds and BAM my money was ready to be used just like that. I highly recommend using CURRENT!
