Current Taxi

It really breaks my heart to give this 2 stars - cab service itself is great! Always had great experience. The 2 stars are strictly for the app itself! And Current taxi only uses the app for all bookings now.. if that is the case, please make sure the app works 100%. Ever since the update I have not been able to prebook a cab - only "book now" option, which sometimes means there might not be a driver available. And in prebook it just takes me in circles - never lets me finish the process! :(

The app is fine, if not a little clunky to navigate, but the problem is with the taxi service. There must not be any drivers and clearly not enough cars to meet demand. Any time I've tried to book either in advance or on the fly the has been no availability. I wouldn't rely on current taxi if you absolutely need to be somewhere on time.

So I decided to try current taxi in Victoria BC and this is my experience: the app is very slick and the service is very friendly and efficient and the cars are super nice and the GPS tracking is pretty cool but you still have Humans to deal with...my driver was 15 minutes late so unfortunately that was my first experience with this company... uninstall the app and no tip! Keep working at it ;-)

Edit after reply from Current: that was the problem indeed. You should mark this app obsolete so ppl don't run into this issue and get unnecessarily frustrated with you. You're a great company, don't let an old app ruin new customers for you! Love the company - but it seems the app is broken. No matter what address I enter for pickup, it says "no service in this area"...

They can sometimes get busy and leave you trying over and over to get a cab designated. But it's cool how accurate the tracker is down to the second! Good notifications and booking system when not busy.

I have only ever used Current Taxi in a pre-book situation. Each occasion, they have been on time or communicated their pending arrival. The operators have been professional and the vehicles are nice and clean. Will definitely continue using this service when needed.

I've tried to use this app to book a taxi 12 to 15 times in the last 2 months period never have gotten a taxi order is always canceled. Just called in to talk to dispatch and ask why I can never get a taxi and instead of giving me an answer I was told how luxurious an expensive teslas are. and that's great... But what would be better is if I could actually get one to my house so I could ride in it to go where I want to go...

Great app, worked without an issue for me. Better than the local Bluebird cabs app which I have had multiple issues with. The Current Taxi app is easy to use, and it just works. The ride experience was great too!

Won't even bother with Current at this time. Tried using the web, couldn't pre-order. Tried the app, it couldn't find my address and wouldn't let me type it in. Tried calling, no answer and mailbox was full. Based on other reviews, not going to risk missing my flight.

Honestly probably the best cab company for Kelowna. They made the app worse with some update a little bit ago. And Im pretty pissed at having prebooked CONFIRMED appointments cancelled by drivers minutes before pickup time. That alone makes me not trust them and I will not rely on them for appointments and important rides in the future.

My name is Alastair. I love Current Taxi. The last ride I had was with driver Nate who was awesome driving the new SUV Tesla with auto open passenger door and auto open hatchback/trunk. Nate arrived early and was very polite and courteous. I definitely love using the Current Taxi APP and I always get a text message indicating my booked ride has been confirmed. I always recommend Current Taxi to anyone that needs a taxi.

When not fully pre booked current taxi is the best! I found trouble getting a driver on holidays and busy nights when I really need it if I haven't pre-booked. Clean cars, great drivers, easy experience

Amazing company ride in style. Yes they are extremely popular. They are smaller company them cars aren't cheap and well people don't want to get a job. Haha however if just relax and wait. Its worth it. On busy nights i waited 1.5 hours for this amazing service. Even though i could have gotten a different company. But to me its worth the wait. They treat their regulars like royalty. Even give you gifts in your email

Fantastic company! Our driver Scott T. was super knowledgeable about the area and all of its establishments. Recommended several places to us and was super friendly! Cannot recommend them enough for any taxi service you need ! Wish we had them in Alberta!

The service/product is great. The app icon is a dumpster fire. Make it the "infinity" thing from the website and make it adaptive. Payment through the app is spotty.

App has been very buggy the past few days. Can't pre book, and when I finally got a taxi assigned to me it cancelled after 5 minutes of waiting. Really disappointing! Now waiting in the rain for a crappy local cab, as it won't let me book another current taxi 😔

Tried to order a taxi in Downtown Victoria but no cars were available. It was not a rush hour, not a weekend or holiday. What's the point of this taxi if it is never available.

Terrible Optimization. I forgot my 3 digit sms code. It said it will call my number within a minute. I never received a call and it doesn't allow for a new sms code to be resent. The app needs a lot of development still. Dissapointing....

I have always found the customer service representatives to be courteous and professional. I love the the Current Taxi app that allows me to see where my ride is when I'm expecting them to arrive and I can book future rides from anywhere to meet my schedule.

Can't make a booking through the app anymore. I'm logged into my usual account and the app shows my location but has no options to make a new booking.

Can't sign up. I tried making an account with Google. The login in button wouldn't work. Then i tried with phone number and it said the number was linked to my Google. So I tried my Google again and it said it was linked to another account.

App is awesome for getting a taxi when out for the night and not wanting to pull away from the fun for a phone call!!

Great cab company with an user friendly app (it almost feels like Uber!) and friendly staff. I strongly recommend.

Current Taxi has been by far the best experience I've had in any Taxi. Not only are Tesla's cool and forward thinking, but the company is run by great owners and happy and friendly employees.

Every time i need a ride this is my absolute first go to. Today my driver was enjoyable, kept the conversation going and was informative of traffic and possible routes. If possible definitely give these guys a call before any other i promise it'll be worthwhile

Literally the worst app I've ever had to use, everytime I book a cab it cancels, I liked it before they updates it, now it's absolutely garbage

Reinstalling the app, it says there is no service anytime anywhere in kelowna Still happening, not good if i cant book at all. Ill try to call

Always a pleasant ride unlike some other companies, same price as regular taxi but in a nice Tesla, Chris was super nice

I am shocked to see some negative reviews out there. I've had nothing but great service from these guys. My only complaint is they don't have enough cars!
