This app is very simple, but sometimes that's all that is necessary. Given a URL of a stream, it will play it. You can name the station, add a logo, sort the station order, and edit. There's light and dark themes, optional on-screen volume control, and notification/lockscreen controls, plus a sleep timer should it be required. This app is simple, to the point, and is my preferred radio player because it does exactly what it says it does with no complications or annoyances.

Exactly what I was looking for; a simple app, with a sleep timer, to play radio streams via URL's. Dev: A very minor issue. If you enter an invalid URL, the app takes a long time to stop detecting the address ( maybe it hangs? ). I simply re-loaded the app when this happened.

Amazing app! I have been using it for more than an year now and I had almost no issues. Simple interface, no adds, the basic functionality that I need. And the app even got a sleep timer! Just add a donation link to the menu, I would be happy to support the project. And if I could make a wish... support for different audio quality (low data usage) would be great!

I stream instantly with every URL I've added, except those with the extension .m3u8. The circle will spin around and around, sometimes as long as two minutes before connecting, or I may give up and move on before it connects. And if an .m3u8 does connect for me, it's likely to drop shortly afterward. Coincidentally, or maybe not, all of the .m3u8 streams giving me trouble are part of the iHeart family. Are you aware of this situation and can anything be done? Thank you!

Wonderful discovery. Thanks for this app. I was able to add most of the radios I like, but still some flux URL doesn't work properly. It would be nice to: 1) have an open repositories with updated links to all possible radios so that the app can make the users browsers in it. 2) if the UI allowed for smaller buttons instead of large bars, as you really need to scroll sometimes, even if you just have a handful of radios.

Really. A very good and flexible radio app. You can built up your own list of stations, using «add station » or export and import menu. You may change the order of stations as you prefere . Although when the list is rather long, it is not an easy job. you can edit the name and url of stations and receive notification if the url is not a valid one. The app Works well, even with more than hundreds stations. Just Needs a few more feachurs to compete best radio apps. No.1 most needed is a search. P.

If you're used to hunting down stream urls to play something on your desktop in VLC or to get a station back on an old WiFi radio device, then you'll love this app. The latest update seems to have added even better support for some hls protocols that weren't working before, which makes this app even better. All that's really needed now is a better way to organize and group stations beyond just loading different lists, but those lists being editable text files is yet another great feature.

Recently, I transitioned from WinPC to Chromebook. I missed my ancient Winamp that I used exclusively to play a large collection of bookmarked urls. I struggled to find a decent player for ChromeOS as I installed, then deleted many junk apps having to do with streaming audio. This app does the thing I need and it does it well. I entered all my old favorite urls, they're saved, they play! Thank You!!!!

Amazing little app, does one thing and does it really well, allowing me to add all the stations that I can't find in TuneIn or those that won't work due to geo-restrictions. I play radio to my motorbike helmet headset and the app will restart playback automatically after driving through a mobile signal deadspot or after a call. The only thing that would make this even more amazing is Chromecast support!

A nice simple app which tries just to do what it should, though has some issues. On Android 11 I can't make the "continue playback after a call" option work - the app just stops and is unable to continue the playback even when I manually tap its notification's "play" button, complaining about some issue has happened, so I have to reopen it from a shortcut again. Earlier I had Android 10 on my Samsung phone and there was another issue: after I swipe away app's notification with music player buttons, it tried to continuously reappear again and again after a while, even when the playback is stopped long ago and the app itself is closed. This hopefully isn't happening on newer OS.

simple, but reliable and looks good. lots of radio apps out there with a closed range of predefined stations for the stoopid, but i want to choose my own streams, which you can do here. an efficient sort function (genre, alphabet, favorites) is not there, which is a bit bothersome.

Clean and lean. Easy and lightweight way to tune in to shoutcast/icecast based streams. Usually I use VLC for media playback, but this is better for streaming radio due to ease of use, bookmarked lists and minimal resources. VLC seems to have a crashing/cpu use issue if you stream a station for long peroids, this doesn't seem to suffer the same way. Big thumbs up to the dev, please keep up the good work. EDIT: was brilliant, now better. support for hls codecs, ui improvements, & more!

No ads. No in-app purchases. Works flawlessly. Plus you can import an export stream lists. Something the other free apps can't do. It says in the app that this was a personal project of the developer. But if he had a donation site I surely would give him something for it. Awesome job! Only one sad problem you don’t have a version (nor does anyone else) for iPhones.

Great app! I love a simple, nimble app like this. Minor issue: although it worked great decoding m3u files, it didn't like pls files; resorted to: d/l pls file; change suffix from pls to txt; open .txt file; copy stream link to clipboard; paste link into playlist; qed. Other than that, streaming a station over wifi to a bluetooth amp as i write this... awesome!

I don't know what you've done to this app, but now, anytime I enter a new stream URL, it throws up error messages. Unacceptable, uninstalled, and moving on to something else.

This app is that I was looking for. No ads, no interruptions, no lags! You can add links for your favorite radio station. Browsing internet can find several ways to get these links.

Installed a few minutes ago and will re rate if it keeps playing for an extended period without glitches. Initial impression is very good. Intuitive interface. Works nicely in the background. No glitches so far. Nice app.

Very good app for streaming radio sources and goes easy on the battery...only request would be to add loop functionality for the added stations. The export functionality seems to be broken on Android 10...says "File not writable" though i have given permissions to access the file system.

A solid, well designed app I use daily if not all day. The ability to import playlists is gold, you can easily bring in your list of shoutcast/icecast stations. Has network buffering and resume-play after calls, it just works without issues or hassle. Ad free, spam free and friendly developer.

Does work perfectly for streams, and the player controls in the notification area is very handy. However one needs to add specific stream URLs but playlists (containing the stream addresses) do not work, so there is room for improvement in that area.

Highly recommended for serious listeners of net radio. Simple, straightforward, uninterrupted listening with a lightweight app. You can dump all other net radio apps once you have set it up to your requirements. Thanks to developer for an excellent job.

Simple no nonsense (easy to use) stream player that works very well. You will need to enter and save the http address of your favourite radio stations so if you have that then this player is certainly worth trying out. A five band parametric equaliser would be nice but even without I like it.

mou. m. Dec 1, 2020

Very nice work! I was looking for this kind of player. It would be awesome if you could add 2 things: 1) the ability to group stations by, say, kind of music. Like having folders. 2) the ability to record what's playing, with a schedule option. (I know I am asking too much...)

Nic. S. Sep 29, 2019

The radio I always wanted. Simply plays the stream URLs you throw at it and doesn't bother you with a million unnecessary features. Danke! EDIT: There is a bug: the app opens (as background player) every time WiFi connects.

Perfect. No whistles or bells, just a lovely little stream player. Really appreciate the import/export function, a lot easier to compile a station list on the laptop and ping it to my phone. Great job!
