Cute timer app : Parrot Timer

I used this app for years, but after it started encouraging me to use new parrots, something weird started happening. My display just flickered, and I couldn't enter my start code as the touchscreen interface seemed to keep restarting with each flicker. I finally succeeded inpowering my tablet down, but I had to do it a few times before the flicker went away. I tried restarting this timer, and the flicker came back. I did this three times before deciding it was definitely this app.

Sadly, no longer pops up with new version of Android. Original review: This timer app is simple and adorable. You don't have to endlessly scroll through numbers to set the times like other apps. I only wish there was the ability to save a few presets for quick access.

Very cute and fun little timer. We use it to teach our daughter about time limits for things. I love that you unlock new birds over time! My only wish is that you could change the bird sounds so not all birds make the same "cheep cheep" sound. Maybe get some warbler or songbird clips too, but that's just a suggestion, not really a negative.

Edit 2021-10-11: One thing that I wish was available is a lifetime payment to unlock the pro version. A subscription for a timer app is a bit ludicrous. - Super cute AND functional, good intuitive interface, lets you choose bird chirps or device ringtones as timer sound, no ads, no frills. Five great features, five stars.

It has improved since upgrade allows timer to sound even when device is in silent mode. Simple, easy to use, cute & entertaining. Grandkids love it, so is useful for discipline! UPDATE: I cannot use the app anymore as I cannot trust it to go off when Do Not Disturb is on. If anybody can help me find out how to get this feature back, I will give the app five stars, again. SECOND UPDATE: Meh, I can only use it occasionally because it will not go off if "do not disturb" is on.

I discovered this app through the YT channel 'Cup of Empathy.' The app is uber cute and the different colored birds (especially unlocking new birds) are superb. I would like the actual songs from the birds. This would be neat.

It was the best option! (I don't know how to spell that so i tried) The other timer i had didnt work because when i put the number of minutes like 20 like 19 minutes later it said i had like still 17 minutes left! This one really counts your time and you can customize the parrot, and change the ringtone if you dont want the Sound of the parrot! So this app is Excellent for anyone!!

Very cute timer app! It doesn't work as well with the newest version of Android - it doesn't interrupt anymore, if you're not on the timer screen it won't tell you when it's gone off. Otherwise an excellent app, love the cute little bird.

I had to get a new kitchen ⏳ the other one stopped working if my phone's screen saver came on, my phone went to sleep or even when using another ap. The whole point of a timer is not having to keep an eye on it. The only thing about this one is the alarm is realistic! The 1st time I used it I ignored it for about 5mns thinking it was a baby bird in the tree outside my window calling for its mother until it dawned on me that it might be the this cute app 🤣

I love this handy timer! Adorable as well as handy and functional! I only gave 4 stars because I wish it went into hours plus.. If I'm baking something low and slow, I'd like to use this timer.... (for example, 3hours & 45min) and as is, it can't do this. 😣 WOOHOO! 5 stars from me! They added the hours option I was wishing for! Thanks guys! 😉 Also many NEW bird choices! Ok now... how bout a hummingbird?! I know this is a parrot timer, but you do have a cockatiel... soooooo 😉🤗

so cute, love it! only thing is in the background are some flowers, and with the placement of the parrot, one of the flowers looks like its petal is sticking out from the parrot's head. Just a little thing but it kind of bugs me every time.

I loved this app for years and then I updated my OS on my Android and it stopped working literally. I would set a time and it was zero it out or it just wouldn't run. So I installed the new version and I had the same problem all over again. Now it's uninstalled.

Really cute timer. I'd recommend it I like it a lot but it was better when I could choose different tunes. (I used to use the Mission Impossible theme music every time I cooked! 😜)

I have had this app to use when on parking meters and up until the last upgrade has worked very well. Can no longer choose a ringtone and am unable to hear it go off. Very disappointing.

Very cute and effective. App works great and had never let me down. The developers improved this app so that a different bird shows up each time the timer is used so they each get a turn. :-) They're all so cute and make me smile. Thanks developers!

Simple, efficient interface. HOWEVER!!! It uses MUSIC volume that could be turned down somehow (and it happens). May be developer can consider changing channels? In the config?

I'm a chef and all of us in the kitchen use timers of course. Every person has a beep beep beep timer so it's hard to know if it's my timer it someone else's, right? I've had this app like a year. I always know if it's my timer and all the cooks know it's my timer so they help me out if I'm in the cooler or something. Also, everyone kinda likes it. People chuckle still every time. True story first time I used it was at home and I seriously spent a few minutes looking for a bird in my house

Really cute app. Nothing fancy it's simply fun and pleasure to use. Such a change from all the endless gimmicks and tech issues. This is simple and straightforward - - - I love it!

Excellent timer. I love the chirping noise, gentle, but easy to hear. I wish it had a 5 minute add button also. I use it at school backstage in the theater and at home.

Something happened and this absoluty adorable app that had worked fine for years started crashing. The parrots' images and animaton seem to be too affected by the adds display below.

Love this app - great timer with a sound effect that's not too alarming and cute parrots. However, I get frequent screen flicker after the latest update, so I can't look at my parrot. :-(

I love this handy timer. I love birds so the tweets are sweet when time's up. I also like getting new birds with more use. Great easy app.

It is easy to use and I love the Bird sounds like that the add different color birds 🐦 too. My son's ABA introduced me to this app year's ago. Her and the staff at Foot Prints use this app all the time because kid's most kid's they work with enjoy it. It's a free timer too so that makes it even better.

This is cute, simple and very user friendly. If you're looking for something to let you know when your finished (time wise) then this is your app. Just set the amount of time you need and start. It does exactly what it is meant to do. Quick, easy and simple. I love it .

Mostly used for potty training. Works well and kids respond to it. Used it a few times for other things too. Good simple timer.
