It's a great, simple app but sometimes what you type into the search isn't really what comes up as a result. For example, if I type in Art or design, it comes up with engineering mechanical jobs. A more specific criteria search option would save me more time searching. Apart from that, I do still find this app brilliant in a lot of ways.
Just downloaded it but on 'my recent activity' it just keeps going round and doesn't load anything.
Doesn't save search, don't load jobs, became useless
Great way to quickly apply for jobs. Once a CV is registered with CV Library, one click[for most vacancies] is all that's needed to apply to "that" job. Only wish that the standard covering letter could be customised, even if it was mass sent via the One Click Apply button. A basic covering letter is sometimes not enough.
Best app for finding jobs on a phone
I have only been using this app since yesterday, however, my overall experience has been quite pleasing. It's quite straightforward to use. Job applications are quick to submit. I have applied for eight jobs since yesterday! I quite like the job save feature that allows me to highlight jobs of interest to me for further review. This allows me to give further thought to a specific job before submitting my C.V. The user-interface is user friendly and eye-catching.
This app needs some major work on it. I have just spent the last few hours trying to simply update my C.V but with no success. It would not let me download files from my Onedrive personal account, OR from the Dropbox account I set up just for this purpose, and this is just one of the issues this app has. If I was u I would find another job seeking site that works properly!! Giving it a 1 star is VERY generous, but as u can't give it a 0 star.......
What frustrates me the most is that every single time I log in I have to change my age group. Why? Adding 10 years on me reaallllly.... I update it and save it so I know I'm doing it right. This could affect me getting a job! I'd say fix it but it's happened for years and years. Safe to say indeed and reed is way better it's better designed it saves my job search and also updates my profile when I click save.
Good app all round, like being able to apply with one click. We all know that often volume of applications is unfortunately important. Can't help but think a lot of jobs are listed multiple times within the same search.
Although I think CV library is a great job board (probs one of the best), the app is terrible. Needs a lot of refining. The search menu is poor and browsing through job specs can be frustrating. Don't have these issues on the actual website.
Has validation issue with password reset; only displays portrait without soft-keys on Galaxy A10; only one box for password entry (dont make a typo!) and NO SPECIAL CHAR allowed in password. Unsophisticated and in need of further development before I would trust the underlying database to hold my personal data.
App stopped working about a week ago. Every time I try to search for a job it comes up with an error. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. Deleted the app's data, forced it to stop, deleted the app and reinstalled it, and it still come back with the same error.
I first used the CV-Library website more than a decade ago and found it completely useless if you're searching for jobs with more than one keyword in it, as it returns results with EITHER keyword in the job title - e.g. sound engineer returns all jobs with either 'sound' or 'engineer' in, so 'structural engineer', 'development engineer', 'building engineer', and so on. So now, over a decade later, I figured this little annoyance might've been sorted. I'm staggered to find it remains. Unbelievable
Easy to use and navigate. My only criticism would be that the site does list a number of training courses (train to be a...) in the job list, this can be frustrating to manually filter through.
I'm not sure why but can it have a setting up where I can open links to company sites on other browser and no in-app. At the moment if I apply for a job that directs to a company website it opens up within the app and not ask me which browser I want to choose to open the link. A fix on that would be great.
When I search for jobs and it tells me how many results there are, it would be quite useful if the app could actually load them so I can see what they are! Does this with all searches, even if there is only 1 result. Pixel 4, Android v10
Great App. Have used it a lot. It would be really useful to be able to add a note to any job. Basically be able to applied via another app or directly. so you can discount the role if you've already seen it.
Great app for finding new roles. I would like to see an ability to review the CV attached before sending to see if it requires attending to or modifying for the position as it does tend to lead you into having a generic CV that may not be ideal for the role advertised.
App is good, shame about the rest. I had a applied to around 20 jobs in one day. And they were described as full time and permanent. However, the reality was totally the opposite. Are any of the jobs on there real? Or am I wasting my time even using their site? I have reported each one, but have had no feedback at all from CV Library. Would I carry on using this site and recommend it to others? No I won't, ever!
Thanks to CV-library, and within a week or so of registering, one recruitment agency found my CV and contacted me. I also received a call from CV-library team to discuss my work preferences. I am thankful. The user interface of the mobile application is really intuitive. Applying for positions takes seconds. Compared to the cumbersome job application process people used to go through years ago, now there's no excuse to not visit CV-library daily. Early days still, let's see what happens...
So easy to use and efficient.. a great variety of job opportunities. I hate filling I long winded forms to get no response and up til now have only used Indeed. I am glad I found CV Library is such a great App Iwould definitely recommend.
It is a good app. But occasionally you can be overwhelmed by results that are nothing to do with your search criteria. The website is a better tool, as you can apply more filters.
I have used CV-Library for a very long time. It is is good with finding various jobs. Unfortunately I have been unable to upload /update my cv on it through the app or my laptop, which makes finding jobs on here now an issue because of this. I have tried for over a week now and nothing has changed.. :/
Totally useless...unable to update cv Or delete last one...google onedrive Associated with the app on android Doesnt do anything at all. Dwnloaded onedrive app..got it working ...cv library upload button..select onedrive still does nothing...doesnt even show the file i want to upload!..fails to find the one i downloaded.... Totaly useless
Unable to upload cv from phone. Search results filled with 'featured' job adverts unrelated to criteria. Search results filled with job adverts not describing salary despite filters for certain amounts. Aside the above, the app is easy to use, i like that a pdf can be used as a cv (unlike indeed's model). Organising previous searches could be easier, as it would be nice to pin certain search criteria without having to set up alerts. It's fine, but i think there's plenty of room for improvement.
